There are better options in Mt Eden, but this place is decent for having a Chinese breakfast in the city. The food was good, especially the shaomai, which I highly recommend. In terms of service, there was an order mistake by a new staff member, but it was quickly resolved by the manager (possibly the owner) with a cool tattoo, who didn't charge us for their mistake.

My friends and I went the other day and had an amazing experience. The staff is so kind and the food was delicious. I’d definitely recommend coming here if you’re in Auckland!

Enjoyed the Wonton soup so much. I have experience before that the soup is just MSG; but this soup is just amazing.

I had an exceptional experience at the bao and noodles place in Auckland. The food was delivered timely and arrived piping hot, while the flavors in each dish were nothing short of remarkable. From the first bite to the last, I was captivated by the delicious combination of flavors, making it a truly unforgettable culinary journey. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking an outstanding dining experience with delectable bao and noodles.

What's special is their Bao buns are done from fresh made dough. You can see them prepering dough by the window. If you never eaten them, then it's perfect place to try them. Price is also reasanable for the portion.

We were lucky to go at the end of lunch - late lunch 3:00 pm - but the food was still good. Lovely fluffy bao buns you can comatose on. Great styley joint very clean and tidy, good seating and great service and price. Waddled out of there back to work, with a doggy bag.

Restaurant atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Meal Quality: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Recommended plate: Pork buns and Shaomai Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was particularly thrilled with their assortment of buns, shaomai, soft bean curd, and pork and prawn wontons soup. Let me begin by praising the star of the show—the pork buns. Soft, fluffy, and filled with succulent pork, they were an absolute delight for my taste buds. Another standout dish was the shaomai. These delicate dumplings were beautifully presented, with a thin, translucent wrapper encasing a delectable mixture of seasoned meat. Each bite revealed a burst of savory goodness, and I found myself savoring every morsel.

Great Flavour and Quantity. Price is relatively cheap in Akl CBD standards. The Shaomai is a must try!

What we ordered: - Shao Mai $14.5 - Spicy cold noodles $12 - Century egg and chicken porridge $5.5 The Shao Mai are so delicious! They're juicy and incredibly flavourful with extremely thin wrappers, which make them an absolute joy to eat! The porridge was warm and comforting and the noodles were super chewy and refreshing on a hot day. I definitely want to go back and try the other dumplings because the Shao Mai were the highlight of my day!

Faster service and delicious vegetarian bao buns! My go to place when in town to satisfy my bao bun craving. I consumed half my order before thinking of taking a picture 😅 Would also recommend the date soy milk and the Youtiao (deep fried dough) that pairs nicely. The Youtiao is only avaliable on weekends however.
