For so called “fast food” burgers these are at the very highest level of burger you will eat. Perfect size bun that is soft and fresh, patty cooked to order, sauces are amazing and perfect amount, everything works together and it holds its shape. Best burgers going around
The Botany team do a great job always a good experience there. The Burnout and American Muscle are amazing, perfect ingredients and their burger buns i think have a bit of pumpkin in so it has a slight orange tinge sweet brioche taste, really good. Burgerfuel portions are a bit bigger and prices a bit cheaper than Burger Wisconsin, but same high quality so yeah I would choose Burgerfuel.
Such delicious burgers! We always order the chicken thunderbird and the vege twin burgers. Fresh ingredients, yummiest flavours and absolutely love the kids menu. Most definitely value for money!!
My boyfriend has been raving about burgerfuel as it brings back childhood memories. Had the bastard (beef) which was okay but the burnout (chicken with avocado) was a winner. The jalapeño bites were so so. However we enjoyed the kumara fries which is a healthier option.
Such fresh tasty burgers. The meat patties are to die for so juicy and fresh. Ordered a Bastard Burger and a small Cheese Burger and chips, chips not required so filling

I can say its one of the best burgers in NZ! It is indeed very expensive — spent roughly $50 for 2.5 meals for 4 pax. My husband and I shared one meal as I can’t finish a big burger. My friends ordered a regular sized burger and one small one, plus our drinks. Their high prices can make a big difference. I just hope the management will create better value on their menu say complete with a drink and dessert of choice at a reasonable price.

Great customer service and super friendly staff who are incredible helpful and willing to customise your order to suit your needs. Burger fuel is on the pricier end; but you're paying for quality. As far as burger fuel goes, this is by far the best one around for cleanliness, staff friendliness and consistency.
My boyfriend loves this place and I can understand why. Every time I've visited this store, I've experienced great customer service and fantastic food.

Frequent this branch on a weekly basis. Friendly staff and haven't had a bad experience. Turned me away from other fast food chains.
Yes it can be expensive but the information is readily available on the website so I do not see where some of the bad reviews come from.
My favourite is the biofuel. I think its sort of healthy and reasonable for its price.
Just think of this place as a more expensive, more little bit more healthier, a little bit more yummy burger compared to Mcdonalds, Wendys and Burger king.
Pros:
- Good for money and its value.
- Reasonably healthier compared to.
- I reckon its tasty for its price.
- All burgefuel interiors are well established, at least comfortable.
Cons:
- It can be pricey if you add chips, shakes etcetc.
- burgers can be quite big. Uh... it may drip and flop out.

Been coming here for years now and always enjoy the burgers. Today, for the first time we didn't do takeaway but ate at a table. Couldn't fault the service and the burgers were just great. We found the one serving of fries between the two of us was unnecessary, the burgers were enough. I had the Ford Freakout and my daughter had the C N cheese.
This branch has been my go-to for burger cravings over the last few years. Absolutely love how tasty and fresh the burgers are!! My favourite is hands down the bacon burnout. Quite recently I've been opting for lettuce instead of the bun and it goes perfectly with it too. :-) Still the best aioli around!! Will keep coming back!!
The burgerfuel franchise has really come of age in the pass few years with stores popping up all over Auckland and further a feild,we had a quick bite to eat @this store today ,we ordered bio fuel(beef)&flame thrower(chicken)+some supd fries which where served with aioli sauce(tasty)the quality of the products here
are of a good standard and would give other burger outlets a run for there money!!
I popped in here on Saturday to savour a fantastic lunch - because having lived in NZ for the past 15 years, I've never been to BurgerFuel and I've heard some amazing things about it. This particular Gentlepig was treated by his girlfriend and couldn't help but be impressed. Here is a burger-ette that produces burgers at a vast quantity, yet maintains a standard of quality and 'gourmet' like a smaller, more bespoke establishment. The spud chips are to die for - as is the aioli accompaniment. Only gripe - prices are a tad steep for a chain restaurant, as you'd get even finer attention to detail in burgers for less in the CBD.
I ordered the Chook Royale burger and it was ready in under 8 mins! That was impressive since they made the burger to order.
The staff are chirpy and efficient adding to the edgy ambiance of the place.
My chicken was succulent and had bags of flavour. The burger had a great balance of fresh salad to chunky chicken, the lettuce was crisp with the right amount of sauce. But for $7.20 the burger itself was miniature. I guess you pay for the quality because the chicken is free-range.
Burgerfuel is a great gourmet upgrade to your average fast food chain.
Always good food but the waiting time and cramped seating area need improvement. 35 mins plus for burger and fries. Still worth the wait I guess for a better burger.

We've always enjoyed eating at Burger Fuel Botany, or ordering takeaway burgers. You can sit outside on fine days in the sunshine. They have a good range, including beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian. The burgers and fries are always wonderful and the service is fast and friendly. My first choice for a burger every time. The doofer is a great invention that allows even the clumsiest of us to maintain dignity.

It was busy on a Friday night, but the food was made in good time and cooked fresh. When I asked about a missing box of spud fries, no issues and it was resolved quickly. The $12 kids meals are good value and you can just pay extra to swap the drinks. Check out the "Specials" as it's good value. Excellent quality and value
Thought the new breakfast menu looked like it was worth a try, especially the coffee.
The coffee shake along with the hash bites were excellent.... Brat burger wasn't anything special though, unfortunately, and the good Joe black coffee wasn't that memorable either

Was told there would be a 40 minute wait for my meal after I had ordered it, which was a little disappointing but I was OK to wait. However did not get my combo until after an hour waiting.
I completely understand that they were flat out and I have to complement my server who was friendly even though he seemed a little a stressed out. He also gave me a free drink for the wait. The chips were fantastic, however the burger was stone cold. I realise that my ten minute drive home wouldn't have helped, but I would have still expected it to be luke warm at least.
Never disappoints, same good standard across all their outlets. Place was clean and staff was friendly. Plenty of parking all around the outlet. Had the modifried thunderbird burger for the first time and will be back for more.
But maybe put in a smaller piece of lettuce that isn't half the size of the entire burger next time 😂
Guy that served us was super lovely and friendly and accommodating. Food was good and fast. Can’t fault service and food. Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the it wasn’t the cleanest BF and bathroom was really gross and smelt like urine and the floor around toilet was wet and I don’t think it was water…… otherwise best kumara fries have had in a while as they didn’t over cook them like most BF stores :).
Best service and best food. By far the best Burgerfuel in Auckland must be Botany Downs branch. Well done to the young guys working there. It is by far the cleanest Burgerfuel in town. Staff is amazing and always friendly. Well done guys.
Got a bio fuel burger and kumara chips, has been great before but today the burger was average and the chips had so much salt on them I could hardly eat them. We got takeaway but if we were dining in I would’ve taken them back - and they probably would’ve replaced them. Average today.
Great burgers with good quality ingredients. Bit of a hiccup with the order and an argumentative staff member but otherwise a pleasant experience.

Been here many times. Always appreciated the service here and the food. They’ve always gotten our orders right, have always been very friendly, the food is always hot and fresh, shakes are nice and thick - burger fuel in general has a very high standard compared to other fast food outlets and the Botany story is another prime example of that.
Tasty gourmet burgers, at an affordable price, in the heart of Botany. A little bit chilly inside, as one window stays open, but all the other aspects were fine.

I found the taste great how ever my burger was very greasy in the end and Hard to eat. The kumara fries ordered were a tad burnt.
Overall ok. But for 20 bucks I expected better.

I was a bit disappointed last week when I couldn't order burgers because they ran out of burger buns! That being said, their food deserves 5 stars!
