Had an amazing Ploughman's platter here. Best cheese I've had in my travels in North NZ (and I've had a lot). Yum!

Tried the new Mint and chocolate milk today, and it is the BEST flavoured milk I have ever tasted in my entire life. My favourite biscuits of all time are the Mint Slice biscuits done by Arnotts. This milk tastes like liquified Mint Slice, and has blown my mind

Just drank your Colombian Espresso whilst driving & all I can say is that it was like drinking a delicious liquid dessert. My taste buds were in a frenzy & had to concentrate on driving. Well done

I had really great experience. The beauty surrounding there made me feel fresh. Even my friends enjoyed a lot and their kids loved the place as they can run around the big park and playing area. The food was awesome but I was confused by the menu. The chef tried and explained me which was really appreciated. They have variety of cheese n v tried some. V really had good breakfast with a beautiful view.

Went there on a really busy day. Took about half an hour before we could find a free table, then about another half an hour on a queue standing before we could order, and then waited over an hour before we got our food (we ordered kitchen menu). Staff were friendly enough and handled the pressure well IMO. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. There is outdoor play area for kids. Water is self service. Separate counters for ice cream and cheese purchases. Food was good to okay. A little pricey for a cafe. Food prices range from about 10 to 22 dollars. Expect to spend about 100 without drinks and 150 with drinks for 4 adults. I wasn't too hot on the grain bread that came with my sandwich as it lacked texture and broke apart. Ice creams were good but were too rich and too sweet for our liking. We were poured room temperature white wine on a hot summer day. Alcoholic beverages are around 10 dollars. Was it worth the 2 hour wait? Most definitely not. Would I make a deliberate planned trip back here for the experience? Most probably, not. But if happen to be in the area or passing by and in need of a quick bite, ice cream, or cheese, but they're not busy then I'd recommend it.

An easy drive from central Auckland - but maybe not during a long weekend/public holiday. We went for the cheese platter rather than a brunch and I reckon we made the right call.

We enjoyed our time at Puhoi Valley Cafe and have been a couple times so far. Beautiful area with fountains in the water, ducks, playground, and large outdoor eating facilities. The food is great as well as the service. It usually takes quite a while for the food to be ready but it's worth the wait. One downside today was strong waves of cow or animal droppings wafting by while sitting outside which isn't the most pleasant while eating. Hopefully it's not a regular occurrence. Thank you

I bring all my overseas visitors here for tea and a cheese-tasting experience. Highly recommended. Surrounded by beautiful hills and natural forest. Well worth the drive. They also have a lovely outdoor children's play area. Unique public toilets too :-) Keep up the fabulous work Puhoi! I will be back in April.

I was reluctantly dragged here by my partner as I didn’t think it was worth the detour but couldn’t have been more wrong. The Colombian Espresso was absolutely amazing and the triple cream Brie and cranberry croissant was delicious. Reasonably priced, friendly service, highly recommended.

Fantastic service (currently Level 2). Friendly staff. Beautiful setting. Lovely well kept grounds. Nice drive out of Auckland; not too far out. Lovely shop. Highly recommend. We had the creamy mushrooms with bacon and the Belgian Waffles. Very tasty. So full we didn’t grab a takeaway ice cream.

Such a cute place! Lots of space inside and out, with tables cute for two or for a crowd if you're up for it - super nice vibes and views, complete with a playground for the little ones! Didn't get to try their menu properly, but good coffee, lovely cabinet goods, and absolutely bomb asf icecream and cheese (highly recommend violet)!!! Prices were pretty expensive tho! On that note, hopefully can gather up the chance to come again💯

Awesome cheesery and cafe! I ordered a carrot cake on the counter and mentioned about my wife's birthday 🎂, when the cake was served it was a pleasant surprise with 'Happy Birthday' written on the plate with caramel sauce!

If you love cheese this is the place to go, a lot of selections~ Was there for the cheese platter, and found out the gelato and open beef sandwich was also very nice~ The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating with backyard for kids to play around. Since you have already driven 1 hour from Auckland it's worth to get something to eat back home, if you lucky, there might be buckets of cheese for sale~

Had a quick drive here for brunch and it was amazing! Great coffee, pie and cheese sandwich, plus the ambiance is breathtaking. It was like driving across the countryside then discovering a coffee shop tucked in a quiet corner. Highly recommended!

Off SH1 into mountains. Don’t drive fast as you will miss this lovely cheese making Company. Busy during ☀️ days ie spring, summer & autumn. Nice place for a chill with its own house made brand cheese. Friendly staff during busy period. Tables are quickly cleared after guest leave. Quality chocolate or caramel milk drink is on top of the world. 4 intensity of blue cheese. Cashier willing to offer a taste of a variety of cheese @ your pleasure. Pay via eftpos or credit card. Both indoor, outdoor ie garden or deck sittings. Long tables sitting around 15 or 20 pax inside right next to “sleeping cheese room & a see through cheese processing window. Clean open glass concept on cheese making. Choose any 3 types of cheese with a cheese platter. Soft cheese had an almost melt down texture served with 3 types of biscuits & a small bunch of green grapes. Lots of parking. A medium size playground for kids outdoor enjoyment. Free flow of self service chilled sky juice.

The dairy products in the place taste amazing! We tried the ploughman’s platter -the ham and chorizo were heavenly, and needless to say the cheeses as well. Everything is in point and was done in perfection. We tried the ice cream too -coconut choc and kiwi yogurt both taste great. The place is a bit crowded during lunch time, but still a good place to relax. It’s a short drive from downtown Auckland, but the traffic congestion can take up to 1.5 hours!
