Wow!! Just landed home in Aotearoa after 7 years in Oz, saw the "supreme" coffee sign, so I popped into Beam cafe in Milford, on the North Shore, Auckland. Amazing yummy home-made scone, excellent coffee, and really lovely customer service, ended up back later in day for the best smashed avo!!! Highly recommend for locals and travellers alike. eggs benedict is so tasty!! and at a very fair price. Iced latte is also the best i’ve had, not bitter or acidic :) also takeaway comes with a flat lid, not a dome lid which is just something i like hehe. Raw slices here are also delicious. very polite staff too!!

I ordered a Crispy Prawn Benedict while my mum ordered a Sweet HK Egg Bubble Waffle and a Flat White.
Loved the concept of this cafe, cute decorations and art on the wall, and really unique menu items. There were three completely different variations of Eggs Bene!
My prawn eggs benedict was probably one of the best dishes that I’ve ordered at a cafe as it has all my favourite elements in one dish - prawns, crispy potato, and a croissant. The prawns were some of the biggest, juiciest prawns I’d seen, especially for a cafe. They were light and not drenched in oil.
My mum also loved her egg waffles, there was a great variety of different fruits on the plate with the addition of salted caramel ice cream, whipped cream and candy floss. Such a delicious, fun meal and was surprisingly light and not too sweet.
Service was very friendly and we really felt like we were being looked after well.
Can’t stop beaming after eating these bubble waffles with a side of fresh fruit 🍇 + ice cream 🍦 + maple syrup 🍁 It was too pretty to eat but I devoured it anyway! All their food looks so aesthetically pleasing (you eat with your eyes first!) and tastes so great too!
Damn Beam Cafe is the place to go. Came here for lunch with my mom but can't remember what I got so whoops but came back here for an iced mocha and it was fairly good part from the dome lid :(((( The food is presentation is 10/10 very photo worthy. My iced mocha was good good and would love to come back for lunch. x
Food: 4.5/5 I ordered the waffles-perfectly textured with the right amount of sweetness!! Such a nice piece of cakey goodness. The ice cream was just divine! There is a subtle hint of caramel/coffee that makes the ice cream taste gourmet 😊. Look how pretty the whole dish is too! My friend ordered the avocado on toast and they said it tasted delicious-just the portion is a tad on the smaller side.

Popped into Beam for brunch with a friend and we both wanted to order the famous egg bubble waffles but unfortunately they were sold out :( So we got the coconut french toast which is served super cute and tasted good, it came with salted caramel ice cream and comes with a whole ice cream cone. The whole cafe is super cute and good for photos, as the food is served really well and the cafe has a light up neon sign. Always busy when we drive past and I can see why as it is really good. Definitely want to come back and try the waffle and the avo on toast :)
Came here ages ago with my best friend and ordered the french toast because the famous beam cafe waffles were sold out :(, but definitely wasn’t disappointed. The french toast was presented so well and tasted amazing. Definitely recommend coming here.

This 5 stars is purely for the food...wowza I had the Waffle and my partner had the creamy mushroom both blew our socks of such an awesome breakfast. Service is a little lacklustre but food definitely makes up for it (the candy floss is rose flavoured the icecream salted caramel with berry couli and fresh fruits 😍) food came out within 10 minutes aswell!
Love this place! I’m always up for anything with fried chicken. So I always get the beans egg Benedict or the burger. They also serve Supreme coffee which is nice. Staff always friendly.
Beam came out of nowhere and just when Milford needed it! Super attentive staff, amazing Supreme coffee, good vibe, best fried chicken! Just wish they could knock the wall down next door to have a bigger space as it’s packed in the weekend. Wishing all the continued success! 5 stars!
A+ food came here for lunch during the week and a hungover Sunday brunch. It’s fair to say the food did not disappoint both times. The staff were very friendly and loved the design of the cafe. Worth a visit!
What an awesome spot! In the Main Street of Milford, parking can be a mission, and the cafe isn’t huge, but it’s well with the effort.
Service is super friendly & efficient & they have a wide & varied menu. Lots have an Asian fusion twist.
I tried the Beam eggs Benedict & it was yum! Chicken was super crispy but not dry, and the spring onion pancake was a winner. The hash brown was awesome too. Loved the sauces & coolness of the cucumber. Coffee was well made.

If there’s one cafe you have to try over the shore then make sure its this one! Arriving right on lunch time we were lucky to beat the crowds - 10mins later all tables were full! Simple but quirky decor, there’s plenty to keep you interested - text light boxes, brick and concrete textures, pink neon lights and a cute French bulldog space character acting as a feature wall.
The level of service during our visit was great and our waitress was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Smashed avo on sourdough and the Beam eggs Benedict. The smashed avo was well presented and although it looked small, it was the perfect portion and a healthy dish. The beam bene was a nice update to a classic! Lightly fried chicken, poached eggs, homemade hash served on a pancake (similar to Malaysian style roti). Sounds a bit off but the flavours worked well together and I enjoyed the kick of sriracha hollandaise!
Definitely keen to try out more dishes here - the bubble waffle and French toast are worth a gram!
I came here for brunch with a few friends and the ambience was lively. I ordered the beam breakfast and a mocha. Needless to say the beam breakfast had everything you need to start your day off right. The crispy bacon, triangle shaped hash browns and mushrooms were the stars of the dish. The coffee was good as was the service. I will be back to try more.
Love this place ! Food and coffee is amazing and friendly staff & fast service! It also doesn’t have that eggy, oily smell you sometimes get at breakfast places so you can actually take your time and enjoy your meal! Highly recommend the chicken burger, so good !
Brunch here was amazing. The interior is lovely, service is so friendly and accommodating. The place was really busy around lunch time so definitely book if you want a table and don’t want to wait. I ordered a mango smoothie which was great, there were even tiny bits of fresh mango in it although the smoothie was a little bit on the warmer side instead of being ice cold. The beam egg bene was amazing. It was quite rich but nonetheless delicious. The chicken was crispy and marinated nicely, everything worked nicely together and the presentation was also beautiful. Will definitely be back to try the waffles!
my friends and I went for my birthday and the service and food were incredible!! it’s usually really busy especially at midday so booking is a really good idea to ensure that you get a table. the ambience and decór are beautiful and give the cafe a really nice and comfortable atmosphere. our food and drinks came really quickly and were presented beautifully. I had the famous bubble waffles which were amazing and my other friends had the salmon ugly bagel and herb and feta smashed avo. the pricing was also very reasonable with it only costing $130 for the 6 of us. I will definitely be coming back again!

This cafe is amazing! We had the bubble waffles and beam Benedict for mains, and apple strudel and custard tart from the cabinet. Everything was super tasty and presented so beautifully, nice to know that everything was hand made! The staff are also super friendly and the cafe is bright and well decorated. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend for brunch!

The service here is tops. The initial presentation was beautiful. Firstly ordered an ice mocha for me, a latte for B. They arrived promptly, disappointed I forgot to ask for no straw in my Mocha. Took the straw out and the service is so good the waitress came back with another (say no to single use plastics, they’re wrecking our oceans:( )
Finally decided on food, I ordered the sweet HK egg bubble waffle and B the CCC burger (chinese crispy chicken burger). All arrived timely and beautifully presented!
The CCC burger was delicious! Was crispy, fresh and had some lovely spices to it. My waffles were AMAZING so many different elements to accompany sweet waffles that would’ve been perfect even on their own. Definitely a must try. With one of the best iced mochas (a part from the straw) I have tried, this meal is the best I have reviewed in weeks.
Rating is let down by the friendly pigeon that came waltzing in and helped himself along the floor, and the flies -other than that service, food, ambience is all there, thank you! we will be back!
Delicious food with great presentation and friendly prompt service. I loved my Beam Egg Benedict. The spicy chicken on the pancake, the lovely crispy potato hash cake and the perfectly cooked eggs were an excellent combination. My fellow diners pronounced their big breakfast (and it IS big) and Herb and Feta smashed avo excellent. The coffee was good as well. We will definitely be back!

We were greeted by lovely staff and sat outside on the main road of Milford. I ordered the beam Benedict which came with 2 eggs covered in hollandaise, fried chicken, a spring onion pancake, potato rosti, dots of sriracha sauce, and a little pile of chopped cucumber and chilli.
I was super eggcited about this crazy take on an eggs Benedict as I love all of these on their own. The eggs were runny and there was a good ratio of sauce. The Korean fried chicken was delicious and a great level of crispiness. However when I started to mix elements together I started to feel slightly overwhelmed by the sheer richness of every one and got a little queasy. The onion pancake was nice but very oily and much too rich as a base for everything. The rosti seemed a little out of place next to the pancake and I think they should have just stuck to one. All these heavy components needed something fresh to balance them but all there was was spicy sauce and fresh chilli, the cucumber added a whole new flavour which was again too much. The hollandaise seemed like a bit of an after thought to make it an technically an eggs Benedict rather than complimenting the dish.
This take on the Benedict could be more far removed from the original and while that is fun, I think there needs to be more consideration to balance of flavour and richness so one can enjoy all the elements.

Having known the owners from their previous venture ( have since sold their Birkenhead cafe “Fika with me”) you will recognize the warm, beaming service from staff. Food to die for, innovative and always ahead of the trends. I’ve had their panna cotta granola ( pictured) , egg waffle signature dish, and smashed avo. All perfect. Will bring everybody here :)
Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning and it was completely full but didn't have to wait long before our party of three got a table. These guys have got it right with the decor. Cute cushions, neon typography and a astronaut dog. What more could an instagrammer want?
Service was quick and efficient. Despite it being peak brunch time I thought there was just the right amount of time between sitting down and getting menus, getting menus and placing our order, and placing order and getting our food. I ordered the chilli cheese scrambled eggs which came on a black brioche bun with a hash brown. It was delicious and different from a standard cafe scrambled egg. I liked the coriander, spring onion and shallots, which added a Chinese influence to it. I'll definitely be coming back here!

We had to come and try Beam because we love fika with me. It was great to walk in and the owner recognising us as familiar faces from fika. Love the location and interior is bright and clean. Especially love the space dog. The coffee was great - we had to have a second cup. We both had the eggs bene and loved it. We also had to buy 2 slices to take away - it was so lovely to have the choice of 3 different gluten free slices. Oh and they were also vegan, dairy free and used refined sugar. We will definitively be back.
Good place and the staff is friendly. They have a surprising eggs benedict on menu, it’s so good! Their bubble waffles was good enough, but I guess mine was over due. I need to come back and try it again.

Epic new addition to Milford .
Tried the bubble waffles served with green tea ice cream, black sesame mascarpone, fruit and Persian fairy floss and Beam eggs benedict which was a benny like no other severed with karrage chicken and sriracha hollandaise. Both are worth returning for but would pick the Beam Benedict as the best eggs benny in Auckland for sure.
There's defiantly no shortage of cafes in Milford but Beam is a standout with a delicious menu, epically prepared Supreme coffee, beautiful fit out and a super friendly vibe from the lovey staff.
I had the fried chicken waffles which were delicious. The only thing that would have made it better would be to have a bit more hollandaise sauce, but will keep that in mind for next time we visit. My partner had the French toast which he enjoyed.

Babies, babies, babies. Being in a schooling area, the seats and sounds of the establishment are filled with babies toiling away, exploring the new world that they find themselves in.
Some may find this uncomfortable or disruptive, but this was just emblematic of the wonderful community spirit that Beam Cafe provides for it's local area.
The staff are some of the friendliest in the country, and the food an excellent pairing to the exquisite coffee that is offered at this coffee house. Even as I write this, a patron sitting opposite me, once getting his delicious caffeinated extraction served to him, immediately asked for another of the same. He knows he will enjoy it so why not just indulge in another. And I shall watch with great satisfaction as yet another patron is served by this incredible business.
