Fav place in Newmarket, best coffee, food and such amazing staff!
We were visiting from down South, went on Sat and again on Sun for breakfast. Just beautifully made and presented food, great atmosphere, friendly and efficient staff. Perfection.
Wholesome meals, chic vibe, excellent service and kid friendly! When in Newmarket, you've got to have a meal here - I recommend everything!
Helpful and friendly staff ... we were a large group that were accommodation immediately. .. good coffee and savory scone was delicious. Definitely a favourite spot for me now.
Best quiches ever and lovely fresh juices. Always love eating here. Highly recommend to all 😃👍
Great coffee, the pancakes are always unreal and the staff are very attentive and friendly!
Great coffee, friendly staffs and nice food. Definitely a pleasant place to start a day. One of my favourite cafe.
Exceptional food and service all the way. Can't fault the experience, a perfect 10/10

Super setting great coffee and the perfect place to catch up with my girlfriend
Great coffee , fantastic meal . I had the mushrooms , beautiful. Friendly service , will definitely be back :)
very nice food. Wonderful customer service. Recommend to everyone. Family welcome.
Liked it :) customer services was good too :)
Amazing place, always hustling and bustling- loved the food
I got the beetroot wild rice with lamb. In my opinion, the lamb was a bit dry but the rice was delicious when mixed with the yoghurt sauce. I tried a bit of my mum’s orzo and it was a bit spicy, which I loved! My brother got the pork belly sandwich, served with fries. The service was efficient, the man working there was so friendly and approachable. I also got the lemon loaf to share and it was so tasty! It was a bit sour too, which in my opinion, makes a lemon loaf more delicious.
This place has really good food and really nice servers. I just ordered a coffee and a hot chocolate (but a special hc) with dark chocolate. It was great. Also got some chips and the sauce they made up with jalapeños is to die for, wish I knew the recipe
Came here for brunch and everything looks amazing (menu and cabinet food). Could hardly decide what to get but went with the chicken pie. It was amazing, as was the chips and aioli. The Belgian hot chocolate was also great, made of real chocolate with chocolate chips on the side. My friend’s bubble and squeak also looked good, I tried a tiny bit of it and it was nice. Excellent service and I also like that it was table service. But it was a bit expensive which is the only thing I’d fault.
Teed Street Larder never disappoint whenever we visit. Very friendly and attentive staffs, kid-friendly and the food always meets expectations. My 8yo said he would definitely rate this resto 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Very lovely cafe with a busy vibe! Coffee exceptional and a lovely selection of cabinet food however a lack of gluten free options. Staff very helpful and friendly!
This is my favourite place to get pancakes! They have really really really good pancakes!! They also have this milkshake with banana and cinnamon I like too. This place is good for breakfast and brunch. Cozy feeling, good for groups.
Best cafe in newmarket! Such amazing food and perfect services! I like the chicken livers and bubble and squeak. Definitely will come back again!
Spacious Cafe, trendy decor, friendly staff, coffee and food came out quickly. Coffee was bold and robust. Simple flavours, not complicated and executed well.
Friendly service & buzzing atmosphere, good coffee and amazing fresh bakes & simple breakfast presented really well. Would definitely comeback again to try more.
i have always love this place. I normally go for coffee and cabinet food but this time after watching a movie, me and my mates decided we need full lunch.
This place is perfect as it close at 5pm and trust me ..its hard to find a cafe that still open after 3:30pm.
The food is good. The portion is just right and the price is appropriated. love it.
Plenty of seating space. Great for 4 people on most table sizing.
I even get take away (pistachio and chocolate meringue) for my mum at home and she loves it.
Consistently good food. My only comment, the smoothies are not 100% natural as the berries, almond and coconut was made with berry syrup and not with fresh or frozen berries.
I popped in here for late lunch ... nice big open place with friendly service.
Ordered the chicken salad with bacon and fresh orange juice.
The salad was really nice... definitely hit the spot
Teed street larder make the best quiche!
The pastry is delicious and the egg is nice and creamy. I have tried both flavours but can not fault the pancetta and tomato. Great service too!
Since then new ownership took place Teed Street has really lifted its game. Food is promt, taking about 15 minutes max. Coffee is amazing, along with a great selection of sandwhiches which are always toasted to perfection. The sweets and baked brioches are awesome, and my mother loves the scones to bits. Will always be a number one favourite of mine. Pancakes are a must try!
I've actually only eaten I dish at this cafe, but the atmosphere is great super cute and just a nice cafe to be at and the dish is the tiger prawns on orzo pasta,
this is the only dish I get from there because it's so good and every time I get a chance to go to this restaurant this dish wins me over overtime. OMG U HAVE TO TRY IT'S AMAZING. prawns taste fresh with a nice warm orzo salad and a seriously good avocado sauce with a bit of a kick in it, that just makes the dish. one of my all time favourite dish
I couldn't give it a full marks because I have only had one dish, but still on my top 5 dishes of all time
We had a very nice vegetarian lunch here on Sunday. We tried the mozzarella lunch meal and the cauliflower fritters. Both were delicious, but I especially love the cauliflower fritters. I would definitely come back for the cauliflower.
Our daughter for once had 2 kids meals vegetarian options, cauliflower fritters or vegemite and cheddar toasties. She had the toasties and loved it too. Atmosphere was great and the service was very quick too. The price is a little steep but that's Newmarket. Definitely will be back!
Nice place for lunch but bit miffed when we asked for yoghurt to have with sweet. Waitress brought it to us no problem and asked us to pay. 80c each at counter before we left!! There was a queue when we left so left it on table, hope they got it.
$5 is pricy for a large trim cappuccino with one sugar to have here but it was a really nice coffee and the service is great. Someone gave me water without me even asking so I was very impressed by that. Nice ambience.
Went here on Saturday for the second times, both visit were for cake/afternoon tea. I was craving for a good scone and came across Teed Street Larder, after thinking hard (too many selections), we went for savoury scone and brownies. We really glad we did, Both of them were delicious. I love the olive flavour from scone and brownies texture were perfect. I ordered tea as they have choices from Harvey and sons 😍
Atmosphere was great for Saturday afternoon, cafe is quite spacious in the inside and have a great selection of mags and newspaper for reading.
Services were good, staffs were polite and efficient.
I will definitely be back for the others

I came here for breakfast with my friend last week and the porridge was beautiful! The flavours were very well balanced and fresh. I also had a soy mocha and it was perfect! The service was fantastic! thank you so much!
This place was recommended by a fellow foodie. Situated at Teed St not far from Petal cupcakes. Interiors were modern and neat. Good vibe and music. Today, I've had moccachino (with soy milk of course) and proschiutto & cheese provolone . The guy that served me toasted it to perfection! Price range of sandwiches and wrap range from $9.90 and all worth the wait and price. I've never tasted my moccachino so good like this......would definitely come back!!
great food. the pancakes are especially delicious with a solid helping of butter and a dusting of fine chocolate over the top. 2nd best on the menu is the wagyu beef on toast. the smoothies are a force to be reckoned with as well.
It's alright, nice selection of teas and cabinet food. A la carte is pricey (even for Newmarket) but food is decent and a fair variety of classic cafe fare ie. eggs benny, salmon omelette, pancakes, porridge as well as some modified favourites (pork belly sandwich with gochujang, yum).
Definitely what I would call a 'trendy' cafe as opposed to having some kind of aesthetic, someone needs to tell these people that putting micro greens on everything isn't exciting any more.
I had the prawn omelette today ($22.50) with lemongrass and ginger, although delicious, I really did have to raise my eyebrows at the baby cress garnish as it really added nothing to the meal and left the plate feeling too busy. Would have looked better aesthetically with no greenery at all, or perhaps some coriander, lemongrass shoots, green onion or chives along with the fried shallots, which added an excellent crunch by the way, would have added a nice logical contrast and built up the flavours.
Still, I left with a full belly and an empty plate, plus the service was prompt and polite. Complimentary tea or coffee with breakfast too, which was very nice. Would come again, but only if I was already in the area.
So tired of pretentious cafes and overpriced food. If you are looking for a genuine cafe experience, this is the place to go. It gets better with their recent makeover. Where do i start... Nice flow of the indoor and outdoor seating area. Love the new decor, it's so light and cosy. The menu is well designed, and the service is great, we even got a Zelda nintendo switch game tips from one of the friendly waiters. We ordered the popular tiger prawns on orzo, the newcomer on the menu crispy skin tarakihi on baby potato, buttermilk pancakes for the kids and coffee for us. I cant fault the tiger prawns, generous portion and perfectly cooked, the orzo was al-dente, and it has a lovely spicy chilli kick to it. The Crispy skin tarakahi dish is so vibrant, lots of colour on a plate. The fish is to die for, so light and well cooked. Not sure about potato, the flavour combination works together, but i prefer my potatoes roasted. My kids think the buttermilk pancakes are the best they've ever tried so far, light and fluffy... they were meant to share one between them, but they ended up ordering another one. Just couldnt get enough of the pancakes. We walked out with happy tummies. Will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu. I was told that they're now open for dinner, an evening visit is in order :)
Great service. Cute waitresses too.
Convenient location. Lots of seats inside and out.
Great selection of food also.
Environment: 4/5
Food Quality: 4/5
Food Quantity: 4/5
Service: 5/5
Price $10pp
Been here a couple of times due to it's convenient location near Westfield Newmarket. Food is slightly on the pricy side for its portion's worth. I usually get the buttermilk pancakes without the bacon which is an additional 6 bucks. I really like the pork belly pie but it costs a whopping $13.50. Café can get pretty stuffy if you are seated at the inner tables near to the toilets. But service and coffee have been consistently good, which is a big plus.
I went here for brunch with my two friends last Saturday and I had a great time. I ordered a vegetarian omlete and I have to say that it's the best omlete I have ever eaten. It had all these new flavours that I didn't know you could add to eggs. I'm extremely happy with their customer service as well. I now live in wellington but I would visit soon when I fly up to auckland.
The attraction for me at Teed St is the delicious selection of savoury & sweet baking they have on offer. Great tasting tarts, brioche, quiche, pies etc
Recently had the best quiche I think I've ever had....thin, flaky, buttery with a pumpkin & feta filling spiced with a middle eastern touch. Great coffee as well as the usual menu offerings.
Weekdays busy with office workers & small groups while the Sunday brigade usually includes a large group of Lycra clad cyclists .... avert your eyes

My mum and I were actually on our way to try & sushi but Teed St Larder caught our attention. Im so happy we decided to try this place out instead. We shared the crispy skinned tarakihi and also the warm chicken salad. The tarakihi was cooked beautifully and the barley orange almond accompaniment was just delicious. The chicken dish was a tad salty but the bulgar wheat was good. Had the cinnamon orange tea blend, definitely worth a try. So warm and inviting. Overall, a happy experience.
Only ever had a coffee here and since they serve Three Beans coffee, the quality is great. However the one time I ordered an iced coffee, it came out more like a shake, which wasn't to my liking.
Ambience wise, it's big and bright, with friendly service.
This is a nice place and does get busy for brunch on the weekends. We had the swiss mushrooms with poached eggs and goat lard; and the wagyu spice minced with cashews and poached eggs. the mushys were great but beware of the goat lard as it has a strong taste. The mince was average, it lacked flavour even tho it was meant to be "spiced". Coffee was good and service was up to standard.
If you have a sweet tooth, try the buttermilk pancakes on the brunch menu. Always come here for a takeaway coffee and the service is really great. The scones are consistently tasty.
We wanted some cafe style food for lunch while in Newmarket, so my friend recommended this place. The service was good even though it was very busy at the time, the food was tasty. Will be back soon.
This is a very nice little cafe in new market. I got the warm chicken salad which was delicious. It wasn't very 'salady' as it mainly consisted of Bulgar wheat but the flavours were there. My friend got a Beetroot chicken and cheese sandwhich from the cabinet. She thought it tasted good but was a bit dry. The cafe is a bit pricey for the 'OK' standard of food. I'm not sure if I would go out of my way to visit again, but if I'm in that area then I might pop in.
The great think about Teed Street Larder is that there is consistency. It may be pricier than some other cafes, but who cares if you get a meal that looks & tastes great!
I haven't been here for a while but decided to give it a try again. Service was good - not overly friendly with small talk, but prompt & efficient bringing water, getting you seated & comfortable before taking an order.
It's a nice spot not far from Broadway with the option of seating outside or inside. Benches, bar stools & chairs. Tables for large groups or for one. Good number of papers to read - so often there is only one or two.
It was missing music though - always nice to have some soft background music rather than deadly quiet...
Coffee was slightly bitter but not too bad.
I ordered the bubble & squeak which was delicious. Eggs perfectly poached, pancetta nice & crispy but not oily or burnt, potato with a crispy bottom. Avocado was a bit hard but edible. Presentation fantastic!
Again a great spot to visit - lots to select from the cabinet & also sweet treats. If only there was some music...
Will definitely be back!
Popped in here for lunch today and had a yummy marinated chicken sandwich with piccalilli, love piccalilli! This and my coffee was great and they had high chairs for my nephew so he could 'join' us at the table as well! Although I didn't have one today I love the fresh churros they do here as well!
Teed Street Larder is a spacious corner building in the one boutique area of Newmarket. The other boutique area being near the train station. Whenever I stroll towards the supermarket I pass the cafe and have wanted to try their coffee for a while. . The coffee is wonderful, but the food piques my interest more. A glance at the sandwiches menu on its black chalk paint walls will tell you that this is a notch above an ordinary cafe. Haloumi with piccalilli! Kimchi! Snapper and horseradish! Quite a variety of flavours, there.
Fast and efficient service, nice and clean and the food's nice and fresh too. We've never had any probs @ TSL, besides trying to grab a table. It's a place we'd happily bring our folks to and it's a tastier alternative to Macca's or the food court @ 277, also if you can't be bothered waiting in line @ Best Ugly or Burger Burger.
I really like the spaciousness of this place. Good variety of food with a decent portion size. Also serves good coffee and cabinet food choice
One of my favourite cafes in Newmarket. I ordered a banana bread and long black. The food was delicious and coffee on point. The Cafe offered a larger setting area both inside and out.
Lunch meeting! This was the roasted lamb shoulder with wild rice, dukka, coriander yoghurt & harissa. It was delicious. Took a while to arrive but worth the wait. As for the cakes and slices I thought they lacked as there wasn't much variety, nothing chocolatey that ladies are after heading into there last hours of work. Otherwise food & drink get my seal of approval.
This cafe is a favourite for a coffee/lunch break between shopping days in the back streets of Newmarket. The staff are super lovely and down to earth, with great service and a really nice atmosphere inside. The decor is great, with floating shelves filled with bits and bots, against the blackboard menu behind the counter.
I’ve had lunch in their outdoor courtyard and really enjoyed the food and coffee that I ordered. Not too expensive, with plenty of delicious-looking cabinet options as well as a menu for brunch/lunch. Would definitely return if I'm in the area again.
It was a cold day and my man and I were looking for pancakes.
His pancake has a nice crunchy chocolate hut to it! I ain't a sweet tooth but really impressed by it, and keep stealing from his plate :P
I ordered a chicken soup, it was a clear broth with shredded chicken, veggie and Israel couscous! Very peppery and warm, perfect for the cold weather.
I would definitely head back to try other menu and cabin food.
Oh! They also have very nice coffee, friendly staff! Thumbs up!
Great consistent coffee, great service and amazing food!!
First time I was here I had the braised lamb shoulder dish and it had so much flavour. I also love the fact that they do fresh fruit juices and dark chocolate hot chocolate ☕️
I've been here for takeaway coffee quite a few times before work and Ive never had a bad one so 10/10 for coffee from me! 👌🏼
I had breakfast here last week and I got the eggs Benedict with cured salmon and salmon roe... Speechless. The hollandaise was great, the eggs were poached perfectly and it was served on really nice toasted Turkish bread with spinach. If anything it was a little bit rich but I think eggs bene easily can be with so much butter eggs and salmon- I ate 99% but had to leave the last bite on my plate- I was so full!! So impressed again!
This modern, quirky cool café is right in the heart of Newmarket and is our work local for coffee or a hot drink! I love the look of the black board wall behind the counter with floating crates and hand drawn menu -whoever is behind the illustrations has got talent! They have a lot of savoury and sweet treats on offer at the counter (have to get in quick!) but also have a dine in menu with plenty of options.
The buttermilk pancakes are delicious and perfect for brunch, a bit pricey at $22 though. They have a lot of healthy options and all are freshly made. This is definitely one of the better cafes in Newmarket!
Teed St Larder is where I always go with my parents when they visit from Taupo - it's their favourite place to eat in Newmarket! They're really good about customising their meals for vegetarians/vegans and their coffee is great. Service is awesome and they make a real effort to remember you and what your regular order is.
Teed Street Larder is located on Teed Street in the heart of Newmarket. It’s a trendy, clean and modern café. My friend and I recently went there for lunch and the café was buzzing with business people and families.
There were lots of delicious options to choose from on both the brunch and lunch menu. I decided to order the crispy skinned snapper with green pea pesto, naked barley, orange, almonds and fennel ($22.50). The dish was full of flavour and really filling. The crispy skinned snapper was slightly overcooked but it was still delicious. My friend ordered the buttermilk pancakes with hazelnut butter, chocolate soil, crème fraiche and bacon ($22.50). Her pancakes looked incredible and she said that they satisfied her sugar cravings and were light, fluffy and sweet.
Our orders were on the pricy side but we both really enjoyed what we ordered. If you prefer a cheaper lunch then there is a cabinet stocked with pre-made options. The service was pleasant and it is a wonderful place to catch up with friends.
If you’re looking for healthy salads, smoothies, freshly made sandwiches, cakes and slices in Newmarket then Teed Street Larder is be a great choice.
One of the better cafe's of its type in Newmarket. Three Beans coffee is served which is smoother than Allpress or Altezano IMHO and suits my personal taste more. Have also eaten here several times over the past 24 months. At busy periods you can wait 30 minutes plus for food at lunchtime. Good place to meet for meetings , you can grab your own water but the attentive staff normally ask you for a glass to go with your order even if you have only ordered a coffee or tea.
Also have a loyalty card for regulars and you can ask for it to be kept behind the counter in their A-Z file.
Super convenient cafe on in the heart of Newmarket, always a favourite when I am nearby. Has a great menu, with a tasty selection of pies which you can't find anywhere else. The counter food is also top notch, and the iced coffee that I had today was sensational. It gets bonus points for being so roomy (inside and out), although it can get swamped by lycra clad dads after a morning ride :-) It has possibly lost a little bit of its vibe over time, but it still beats out many places in the area, so make sure you stop there if you are nearby!
Visited a while back, last year, and had a delicious meal. Arrived for lunch, ordering the vanilla pancakes with coconut and the kedgeree with smoked salmon. Although the place was busy with lunch service, food arrived within a good time frame.
Both dishes were very delicious and leaving us wanting more.
Teed Street Larder is a wonderful place for catch ups, however it can get quite noisy inside.
A place well worth the wait.
Very good on all accounts. Friendly, efficient service. Very good coffee. I had poached eggs with a side of black pudding, eggs were perfect, good quality black pudding. Nice atomosphere, would be good for business breakfast or lunch.
The food here is consistently scrumptious. I love breakfast here. The coffee is fine. My only gripe is that it's usually pretty noisy but the food more than makes up for that.
Lovely upmarket cafe - amazing food, impressive service (possibly verging on a bit pretentious?) and sweet decor. Very happy!
I have been to teed street larder 3 times in the last month and have not been let down yet. Love the baking and also the corned beef and eggs for breakfast. I also must say they make the best hot chocolate I've ever had with 55% belgian chocolate and a homemade chocolate marshmallow on the side. Recommend
Currently my favourite coffee place in Newmarket.
Love the coffee, sandwiches and the pastries. You will not be disappointed with the cakes and pastries.
The cooked breakfast is already good it just needs a bit more excitement to the dishes i.e. garnish and flavour. Otherwise, they never fail to please
I’ve loved everything I’ve tried here. Is there a lot on the menu I would pick? No… but that’s because I’m incredibly fussy 😂 flavours are always bursting and every time I’ve ordered fish and chips the salad has been super fresh. Coffee is strong but leaves you with a nice warmth inside.
Had quick lunch here with a good friend on the other day.
Typical cafe food, service and the quality are at the standard.
Quite like the outdoor seating arrangements, unfortunately that day wasn't warm enough to sit outside.
I enjoyed my food here. The service was satisfactory - a little functional rather than warm and engaging
Coffee ok but not paticularly authentic. A cappuccino should have gowned milk and not be identical to a latte
Overall it was fine
Nice place and yummy food. Coffee was definitely the highlight. Tasty, double shot standard and creamy. We ordered the big breakfast ($27) to share and it came in two plates looking like two big breakfasts. Very well served. Sausage wasn't great and bread could be nicer too...but still very good. Staff were friendly and efficient. Place looks a bit tired. Overall a great experience. Recommended!
Went here for breakfast on Good Friday, thankfully it was open!
The service was great, the staff were so hospitable and attentive.
The general vibe was nice, there weren’t too many people, had a very large open space with an indoor and outdoor area.
I ordered Eggs Benedict with Salmon, was so good. Easy to eat which my braces were thankful for, they even had toothpicks at the counter! The egg was soft and cooked perfectly, with the runny yolk and everything! They were also super accommodating, I asked for no bread and they offered to replace it with hash brown with no extra fee. I’m not sure if they had that as an option on the menu but I was grateful that they offered either way.
I ordered an English breakfast tea as my drink, which was yum. Had a very cute glass teapot. Slay for the aesthetic.
It was also very affordable considering it was in quite a nice cafe in Newmarket, surprised me and my girlfriend.
Anyway, it was a great experience! Would definitely go back.
I had a caramel macchiato and a lemon muffin. The caramel syrup was a little intense but otherwise the coffee was great, and the muffin was delicious. Lovely place to sit with a nice outdoor seating area, surrounded by trees in bloom. There are often some little dogs sitting outside as well, which is a huge plus for me.
Will definitely be back to try the food on the menu soon.
Delicious brunch and attentive service. Porridge with seasonal fruits was well portioned and perfectly sweet and filling.
Seafood chowder was also wonderful.
Great coffee and generous healthy breakfast in old historic part of town
A great experience! Good customer service!! Literally got in and was greeted with good vibes. 10/10 recommend x
Popped in for a drink, nice matcha latte. Great to have a stronger green tea presence and less sweet than other cafes.
