Love it here, so warm in every way. Tonight we had fabulous wood fired roast vegie & salad & Matchamisu, green tea tiramisu. You'd have to like green tea, and we loved it.
Fantastic night we were here for Matariki omg great kai & amazing show in the tiny theatre. I ordered a kids pizza wow it was huuuuge! I couldn't get thru' it at all. We should of got one to share is was massive. The Garnet staff are incredible too we hung out after the show totally amazing. Recommend this amazing space to one & all. So friendly I was even got a tour!! GOLD STARS!!

Excellent spot, the food was awesome. Everyone was warm and friendly. We will definitely visit again. Oh, I was able to bring home some freshly ground coffee (thanks), and let me tell you it is the best. We had a great time. I loved the artwork.

What a find, this is a wonderful little eatery, obviously an old home turned into a quaint little spot. The pizza was sublime, wine choice not huge but well thought out. The piece de resistance is the old garage out the back turned into a small live show theatre, where we enjoyed a great show, only seating for around 50, but brilliant. We will be back.
This is not my local area, but I had to come back to this warm, homely and friendly atmosphere cafe since my friend brought me once.

Such a eccentric and funky little hidden gem! A place where chairs are mismatched and it has the feel you are at your grandma’s house and tea comes with a tea cosy! The best! Had a egg-free and sugar-free date and orange scone and it was super good! Also tried the firecracker wood-fired pizza and that was delish! Such a thin and crispy base! Yum!

Cute spot for a Sunday brunch breakfast. Ordered something from the cabinet (bacon and egg sandwich) and my partner ordered the eggs bene with ham. Service was quick, staff were very friendly and partner mentions it is the best coffee he has ever had. Will definitely now be our Sunday morning routine. So glad we decided to give this place a try. The gluten free brownie is also 👌🏾
First time here and I am impressed. A bit out of the way for a non local, but we had been at Motat and this was on the way back and as amateur diners we dropped in to check it out. Whilst some cafes go for the super trendy look, this one has gone for the super homeliness appeal. Everything looks home cooked and hand made, and there is plenty of selection in the amazing looking cabinet. I choose the fish pie. Also the coffee was great, thanks Pearl!

5 stars for everything, I'm not joking either I don't no anyone connected to this place. It was a Saturday night 8 of us all demanding in our own 'eating out' ways. Our ages ranged from 17-66 years. Everyone loved it.
I have been here for breakfast, lunch and now tea. So I guess I'm a fussy bugger but this place ticks all the boxes .

Warm, homely corner cafe. They have free wifi so you can tuck into a corner and get some work done while grabbing a bite. Tried an assortment of their pies and salads...all yum! Will be back to try out their pizzas...looks delicious!
Garnet Station is a neighbourhood hub! Frequented by yummy mummies, business types meeting in the back room, its gay friendly and filled with interesting locals.
The Tiny Theatre on site provides truely inspirational evenings and can be hired.
Committed local owners and huggable staff, the cafe has wonderful food - great breakfast menu, evening pizza and cabinet food (turkish torte and spanakopita are my faves).
I was so pleasantly surprised by Garnet Station. It had that home cooking feel, and is so warm and comfortable. Food is great - I had the best plum muffin and hot chocolate here, and service is friendly and prompt. If I lived nearby I would love to make it my local!
This is absolutely my favourite cafe. The coffee is fantastic, the cakes are divine and the roasted pear, walnut and blue cheese pizza it to die for! I love the decor, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and the staff are lovely. I wish this was my local!
Came in for wifi, but ended up making friends with the staff, really nicely laid out place, perfect vibe for the place. Everything we ordered was done with organic fresh and delicious veggies. Pizza is best I have had in town. Brownies are Also top picks.
This is a little gem! I am rather reluctant to tell you about as its our secret! But the best thing ever is their Pizza!! They have daily specials for their Pizza too - which keeps it fresh if you go there often!! I also love their wine selection! Very tasteful, and they really care to the point of testing the opened bottles before pouring your glass.
Homely, fresh, very friendly it feels it is like a going to someones home! Lucky its just around the corner from where we live! Cant wait till summer where we can sit outside in the sun with bubbles and pizza!!
We come here fairly often in the evening as the Pizzas and the wine and beer selections are awesome.
The only negative I have is that the other dishes such as the salad is very basic, as does the potatoes, we ordered a salad and it was green as in lettuce and nothing else, fine if youre a rabbit but I prefer a bit more in my salads, tomato, cucumber etc. The potatoes where reheated and not even heated well I think they where what was left of the day time cafe stuff.
Love it but seriously if youre going to charge restaurant prices in the evening lift the game a bit.

This cafe knows how to serve up top quality, fresh, vegetarian food - loved it! Also, great gourmet pies with a delicious chunky relish for meat eaters...and yummy brioche. We received quick and friendly service.
this is my kind of relaxed place! it's like being invited into your best friend's living room who then delivers a great coffee just when you need some chill out time - my coffee had a shot of ginger to match the homemade ginger slice. I explored the house, and the art work, and loved my weekend brekkie vibe

What a perfect cafe! There's nothing to criticise at all! The coffee and sweets which I tried were super yummy, the service was amazing, and the interior design is just superb! It's like someone lets you into their lovingly furnished and decorated home. You can sit outside, in the front by the busy counter, on a couch in the living room or in the library room. How awesome is that? And they even have wifi which they offer right away if they see you on the computer. Of course I also love their use of organics as much as they can and their interest in sustainability.
One of my favorite cares. Lovely home cooked food, and satisfying mugs of coffee. Feel like I am in my Nan's lounge with a bunch of new friends every time I go. Very comfortable and homely....toys for the young ones too. Love it!
Update- this little place no longer operates as a cafe. But instead is a cute venue and pizzeria and bar. Hours can vary so best to check out when they are open for pizza and drinks.
The best little cafe in Westmere. We went to a birthday party here and it had an awesome private tiny theatre and private garden. There was also the public cafe with delicious food and coffee.
What a great place! This is a home away from home type of establishment. Lovely ambiance, personal touches. Good bar and great coffee. Amazing woodfired pizzas. And they even have a tiny theatre with regular improv and music performances. This place is a station you want to be stranded at!
I looove the food and cosiness of the cafe here. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. The cabinet food are so so delish, i wish i know the recipe to all their salads, and have enough stomach room to have all their pies. Just such a delightful little communal cafe.
Cutest coziest yummiest little secret bar in Auckland if you ask me. It's got a little theatre where you can hold a show them have pizzas from the wood fired pizza oven. SO GOOD
For the price, the quality is exceptional. In fact they are beyond what I expected, even though I'd read the reviews and not only do they provide excellent protection but they look fairly good too. Anyone who buys a brand name is nothing more than a fool.
