Would highly recommend!! Yum as burgers (we got an easy cheesy and a tuna melt) with great coffee and a very affordable bill at the end! Thanks, we will be back :~)
The best vegetarian/vegan burger! And the BEST curly fries. Jalapeño poppers are insane. Super lovely people who work there and just stoked every time we leave ☺️ recommend!
Great spot for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. Chilled and friendly service! I’d recommend the fried chicken burger! The jalapeño mustard is a game changer and gives this burger so much flavour. They do burgers well! And curly fries are the perfect side. I didn’t try the the Frank’s hot wings but they looked and smelt delicious. Would definitely try them next time!
Had lunch here the other day
Nice lil spot tucked away on a side street
Staff were friendly
Food was great
Chicken burger crispy n juicy 10/10
Chicken wings 8/10
Curly fries 10/10
Jalapeño poppers 8/10
we will definitely be back
Thanks
Came here by myself for a morning coffee after a period of stressful days. Got myself a mocha, didnt expect much as I have had average mocha in many places, but this one actually taste good. Good relaxing place too. Only downside is the background music is a little too loud.
Came in on Wednesday night, ordered the Vegan mac, was so yummy!! Great customer service, friendly staff. The lady recommended the kombucha which was tasty! Cool spot, will defs come again!
Great little spot where the service is consistently awesome. The burgers are epic and I particularly rate the curly fries. Often grab coffees from here too and they’re always top notch!
This place has best open to sky arrangement. Completely loved it. I tried mozzarella sticks they were pretty awesome. Loved the taste, but woypd reccomend the kitchen to put more innovation to thier menu.
came here last night with a few friends and the service was nothing short of perfect really! attentive but not annoying! mozzarella sticks are INCREDIBLE straight up best I’ve had, and all of us loved our burgers! definitely coming back!
My friend recommend this restaurant to me,I ordered curly fries and Med FW,the fries was filing, yum, and looks so cute! The service and coffee good as well,Highly recommend u guys to try !!
Me oh my what an institution!!! The wingggs, the nachosssss, the ambience!!!! How good! The staff were unbelievably friendly and really put a smile on the dial! Highly rate you go here xx
This place is cool! Quirky vibe and quirky menu! But the food is good and we loved the vegan Mac burger. Can’t go wrong with curly fries and the loaded fries were also good. If you’re in the mood for ‘elevated’ fast food, then this is a good option.
Love this place! I usually get vegetarian food when I go out, but when talking to the waitress she realised we were actually vegans, so she asked the chef to make all of our dishes vegan. Everything was delicious and with some amazing sauces (which is not always very easy to find as a vegan). Loved it!
Great curly fries!! Where else does this many for the price?? They have a veggie burger that actually changes sometimes too.. More veggie sides than veggie mains, but still awesome. Plus your meaty friends will love their food! Lots of interesting side dishes, a fun environment, and staff that have an actual conversation with customers! Sit outside on a warm evening and share a table with random folk!
Love Ralph's! I sometimes grab an early morning coffee on my way to work, even at 7am the staff are so lovely and sweet. Breakfast and lunch are awesome too, love the burgers and curly fries. The environment is rad, lots of vintage stuff around - pretty hipster, lots of dog stuff ❤️ great vibes
Great burgers and amazing vibe! Abit disappointed that they were out of stock of the jalapeño poppers which is mainly what I came for but the food which we did order was lovely.
We shared the Chicken , Jalapeno Poppers, Curly Fries, Mac n Cheese fries & I had a Double Cheeseburger. All was delightful, was a tad greasy and slightly over priced. Service was good and food came in a prompt and timely manner. All round a solid 4/5.
Yay for the vegan options! Omg best vegan mayo ever! Please start selling it on its own ❤ Excellent friendly service. Will be back with hubby and son.
Pretty quick service. You order food at counter.
Got a bunless ralph cheeseburger , not very filling compared to burger burger's cheese bun less. Curly fries were very crunchy, crispy and fresh.
First time visiting this place, nice ambiance and staff were friendly and accomodating. Tried their Angus burger and curly fries. Burger was pretty average, American style but the patty wasn't juicy (slightly dry) also the buns were okay. Curly fries however were very yummy (wanted some more! But you do need to add $4 extra which makes the total $20 for burger and fries (slightly expensive considering the burger was pretty basic and average). size was average too not too big but not too small either, to be honest I was expecting bigger and juicer burger based on other reviews.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner, this place is amazing. It has a friendly and relaxed vibe, fantastic food that I'm still dreaming about. If you're looking for somewhere to eat or drink then congratulations, your search is over. Go here.
Ralph's is awesome for a beverage and a burger. I has the vegan fried chicken there once and it was super delicious. Good spot for lunch breakfast or dinner. The Tom's on toast is awesome.
Jalapeno poppers! Jalapeno poppers! Jalapeno poppers! Good George IPA on tap! Coolest team! Amazing hangout! Great music! Good times! Delicious food! Perfect!
Not bad for a yummy brunch on a rainy day! The vibe here is cool, and the menu items all have cool names, and are a bit different from the standard brunch fare. The breakfast of Zeus was really flavourful and filling, and really delicious, I'd highly recommend it! The granola and poached pear was disappointing because it seemed like a packet muesli, and in hindsight another of the yummy dishes could have been ordered instead. Creamy mushrooms were plainly presented but well balanced and tasty, not too rich. It took a long time for our food to come, and the service for ordering, clearing plates etc was incredibly efficient, almost too quick as one of us hadn't finished chewing before the plate was gone! (I'll put this down to the waitress being new to the job). Coffee was pretty good. Overall I liked this place, I'd come here again to try some more things on the menu! I'd recommend it for a good weekend brunch, just don't order the granola!
Burgers yummy and warm atmosphere. They are so friendly and inviting the kinda place that makes you feel at home. Hard to find really good customer service like this especially in auckland.
Loved it. Food was simple but delicious. The atmosphere was really nice, I really like the quirky/rustic feel of the place. I had the chicken sandwich with curly fries which tastes amazing and my partner loved her dish too. Milkshakes were also really nice. The staff were very friendly and answered any questions about the menu in detail (can't stand it when you ask a waiter something about the food and they don't even know what's in it) I highly recommend.
We'll admit it. We picked this place for Husk lunch because of an Instagram photo. But who would, on a particular peckish May afternoon, be able to resist that hot plate of loaded fries? Seated in their open courtyard, we admired the grungy tables, black and etched in funky slogans and designs to reveal the blonde wood underneath.
We sipped our drinks imagining summer-night fiestas with pontoon lights. At the counter they have an eclectic assortment of drinks on offer, including Good George Beers, Evil Child Hot Chocolates, and just to tip the scale... a guilt-free “supa smoothie”, featuring raw cacao, fresh dates, banana, almond milk and a shot of expresso. Three of those thanks. The day menu was decidedly lighter than the night, hosting a good selection of vegetarian and gluten-free items. No mention of loaded fries though which turned out to be night menu only. We must've looked particularly attractive (or gutted) though, ‘cos the kitchen kindly whipped some up for us anyway. Win! Crunchy curly fries smothered in a generous, tomato-ey dollop of vegan chilli, topped with spicy jalapeños cheese, glorious nacho cheese. Can we go back already?

I been here a quite a few times service is good even when we walked in late one night they still said we can eat. Was good first few times I went but felt like the last time I was there the quality was not as good. Not bad tho.
Jalapeños poppers are amazing here.
$8 for a serve which has 4 pieces in it. Have to try this if you come to Ralph's.
The vege burger with the vegan patty was good too but the curly fries that came with the burger was divine.
Has about 3-4 dishes in vegetarian. Check the menu before going. Lack of variety might catch you off guard
Staff were friendly and gave good advice on portion sizes. Crispy fries are to die for!!! We both had Baked free range eggs - one with bacon, one with chorizo. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
We came here for a group dinner and the food and service was awesome! I'm not usually one to rate burgers in general but their cheeseburger was melt in your mouth. Also got the fried chicken coupled with that sauce, so good and reasonably priced too!
Been to Ralph's 3 times now, had the cheeseburger with fries every time and fried chicken once. Hands down the best burger in Auckland. Service is awesome too the bro 'Ralph' (unsure if he's actually Ralph or not) is always having a great time!! Love this place Ralph's is the shit!!!
Was recommended by a friend, service was awesome, enjoyed the casual nature of the staff. They were informative and welcoming. Loved the jalapeno poppers, ate too many curly fries. Ordered the cheese burger and chilli dog, loved both. Am coming back.
Went to ralph's this weekend as we were craving for some good 'ol american food for a big feed. And they definitely did not disappoint! I got a cheeseburger which came with a generous amount of curly fries (which tasted really amazing). The veggies were so fresh and the patty was nice and juicy. My friend got a chili dawg and loved it too. The place is so beautiful, loved the very creative interior design, staff were all lovely. Overall it was a very good experience, it was a bit cold outside and it was raining but I would very much love to sit there on a beautiful summer day. Thank you ralph's for an awesome experience! :) will come back soon
Went here to try something new and really enjoyed it. The set up/interior was really cool, a nice mix of American diner and modern places. I got fried chicken and curly fries, it was great. The person I was hesitant about American food but she got the pulled pork burger and really enjoyed it. Really friendly staff too
I didn't know I could eat until I went to Ralph's. I still haven't eaten enough. Their Burgers and Fries alone need an allocated space in my stomach and a pencilled in date in the planner. I came here for breakfast/brunch with my best friend. I had the Pork Belly Eggs Bene and she had the Toms on Toast. Both were incredible. Stunning dishes and bursting with flavour and overflowing presentation. My eggs were cooked to perfection. The pork belly was a downright sin and the hollandaise was everything it should be. I also had an Iced Coffee of which I was warned was basic - I just didn't expect it to be pathetic. I dread to think what they charged me for it (I didn't look). However, I was warned!
The Atmosphere is great. A nice eatery with a rustic industrial vibe. Very indicative of its location. Modern, and spacious. Booths to the side; tables in the middle and a gorgeous outdoor seating area with large tables and open skies. Would be killer in Summer. We sat outside and apart from sunstrike, it was a comfortable experience.
Room For Improvement: Neither my friend nor I had any complaints. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Relaxed and seemed in a good mood. However, I can't leave this review without slating the Iced Coffee (it's my signature drink) as it was truly abysmal and tiny. But the other drinks seemed just fine and apart from a small mishap with our bill nothing else jumps out at me.
Ralphs is way smaller than what I expected but quality trumps quantity and this food is a winner! I'm giving you a 4 because: Pork Belly Eggs Benedict - need I say more? The Curly fries also look a damn treat.
What we loved: the cool chilled out atmosphere, the excellent beer, the friendly service and of course the excellent burgers. The buns are on a bit of a sweet side for me though.
Highlight: the jalapeno poppers - they will knock your socks off.
What we didn't like: the tendency to overeat because everything on the menu sounds so freaking good.
Will we come back here? Definitely.
7 of us had dinner there last night
It was very good
Nice atmosphere
Service was quite good
I had the Fried Chicken Burger which was excellent
Tried a few of the tasty Curly Fries
And had a delicious Slaw
All enjoyed their meals being mainly the various types of burger
The Negra Modela beers were rather good also
Give it a crack!
Very funky place with a good atmosphere and good food, very casual and chill. Had the fried chicken burger and curly fries which was good the chicken was delish, also had one of the slushies which was yum!
came here a few weeks ago with a large group of friends. ordered the curly fries , jalapeno poppers and fried chicken. Curly fires were average, and the fried chicken was ok but small portions and pricey. Not much variation with flavors and for fried chicken you should really have an option of sauces as the chipolte gets overdone with every meal you order. Apart from that great barman and really good taste of music. If I came here again it would be for a couple of drinks and and some bar snacks, but not for dinner.
I love Ralph's. The staff are amazing. I have had hit and miss with the burgers, buns sometimes burnt. However I would go back, I do feel for the price it shouldnt be hit and miss. Breakfast is superb there.
I've been to Ralph's a few times now and I'm hoping next time I go along I'll be able to nab a booth. They have long canteen style benches outside for groups and smaller tables and a few booths inside. The place has a funky vibe with everything being a bit quirky, including the staff who are chatty and friendly and incredibly helpful.
I've tried the cheeseburger, it was delicious. I had the chicken burger which was amazing. The gyro is perfect. Their curly fries are literally the best in Auckland. Their alcoholic slushies made my day. Their lemon slice was great.
The staff are easily able to make suggestions (especially when it comes to pairing slushies and booze) and were happy to check with the kitchen about allergies. We felt comfortable there having a slow dinner, nothing was rushed.
I have already recommended Ralph's to many friends and will continue to do so.
Food 10/10
Service 10/10
Atmosphere 10/10
Comfortable seating 7/10
Chance of returning 99%
Trendy little find ! Went for a casual quick drink. Super friendly service, appealing menu, welcoming outdoor area .. fun Mexican decor. Will definitely go back to try the food.
Great place for dinner, the waitress who served our table was entertaining and so helpful.
Great service and the fried chicken and curly fries are the best.
Highly recommend
Checked out R's for a quick bite and coffee before our walk today and this place is funky, Including their awesome amenities! We got a couple of strong trim flat whites and shared the cutest Mouse Trap. Haven't had one since I was about 8, the staff's cool, music funky and the menu's well rounded. Definitely heading back.
Last night had a quick bite to eat just before they closed the kitchen. I ordered the fried chicken burger with curly fries while the others settled for icecream sandwich and drinks. The place was large and a hidden gem. It had seating towards the back of the shop with a roof that opened up.
The food came out fairly quickly and it was delicious. I also appreciated the various condiments (Sriracha sauce, mustard, hot sauce and ketchup) that were already at the table.
The service overall was the best and will be back again soon to try their hot dogs!
Came here with a group of 6 and we're well impressed! Staff were onto it, the fried pickles were insane, prefect burgers (5 cheese, 1 pork belly) the fried chicken lives up to the hype and the tunes were great! 10/10!
Came here tonight, real nice chilled out place off Dominion Rd. Would definitely recommend the fried chicken, calamari (pictured) and street corn - all really delicious but a little overpriced due to the small portion sizes. The service is awesome, really friendly, chatty and laid back. Nice outdoor garden area for summer beersies and they serve coffee all day and night. Would definitely recommend!
I haven't tried the food yet, but I think it's safe to say my Mt Eden squad have found a new local! Went down on Saturday night for a few drinks, and this place is great, the courtyard is perfect. It could have used a few more patrons to improve the atmosphere, but the sangria was tasty, the staff were friendly, and I'll definitely be trying to delicious looking burgers sooner rather than later...
Came here for a girls catch up. Easy going restaurant style was rustically fresh. I ordered the ceviche and sangria. It was Absolutely divine. Definitely will be back for sure. Great atmosphere and service.
Came here for breakfast now that Vinyl & Ralph's have merged. Service was really friendly. The coffees took a wee while to come out but definitely put that down to it being their first week in the new place & once they arrived they were insanely good. Haven't had a coffee that good in such a long time! We both ordered the breakfast burrito bowl & it was great. Maybe ever so slightly under seasoned but with all the condiments on the table that didn't really matter. This'll definitely be our new local & look forward to trying it out for dinner, too.
Ok we just had dinner here and you need to do the same, immediately. Pork belly burger. Oh. My. God. Jalapeño poppers. Just go. Eat everything.
We arrived here just after opening on a Sunday, anxious it would be too busy. Place was almost empty which was surprising! Very relieved we got a seat. I was hangry as because Zomato has the wrong address and it took us FOREVER to find and I hadn't eaten all day in preparation for this exciting event.
Ordered the fried chicken to share, pork belly burger and a cheeseburger. Very disappointed they didn't have fried chicken burger on the menu!
The fried chicken was AMAZING. I wish I had ordered my own, you will not want to share this!
My cheeseburger was good, tasted like a Burger King cheeseburger, but much heartier. My boyfriend loved his pork belly burger. I think that will be my choice next time.
The food arrived super fast and it was hot and fresh. Very impressed with this place and definitely will be back to try some more of the interesting starters!
Thanks guys! @

Who can say no to a burger, especially when paired with a nice cold beer?! The number of eateries offering hearty scrumptious burgers are on a continual rise and we found out about Ralph’s after reading the great write-up on Viva. Knowing that a burger each was not enough to satisfy our hunger, we ordered an assorted selection of snack to accompany our beers. The deep-fried pickles with homemade chipotle mayonnaise curb my pickle obsession and the jalapeño poppers with a gooey mozzarella cheese filling was a delicious combination of heat and cheese. The fried buttermilk boneless free range chicken were hot and juicy and the waffled fries were borderline addictive.
Funky little place. Cool architecture and a great courtyard for summer.
Hearty burgers, the cheeseburger was perfect. Came on a delicious brioche bun, medium rare pattie and crispy bacon.
The jalapeño poppers were spicy and cheesy balls of goodness. We'll be back.
Awesome little diner with a sweet outdoor area (which has a cover if the weather isn't great.)Some of the best burgers in town, good prices and no bullshit.Music is always on point and staff are always great.
Have always been a big fan of pickles, fried chicken and jalapeño poppers. This place has it all! Was there a week ago and I'm dying to go back for more deep fried pickles and jalapeño poppers. Down it with some Garage Project Beer beer and life is good.
Had heard good things about this new place on Dominion Rd so after catching a movie at the Capitol theatre we grabbed some dinner at Ralph's.
A pretty simple menu but we couldn't go past the pork belly burger and it came with curly fries! Why do fries taste better when they are curly? So we ordered three burgers, one calamari and one deep fried pickle (just to try).
The burgers were fantastic but I have to say deep fried pickle is not my thing, well now I know!
Ralph's is insanely good!! Awesome for small or large group, the Pork Belly burger is next level and the cheeseburger is the best of my life!
Another must order is the macaroni cheese, get one for yourself cause you won't want to share.
The staff are awesome, the vibe is great, the decor is on point and the chef knows exactly what he's doing!
I've been 6 times and it gets better everytime.
Also a great options if you're Vegan. GO AND GET AMONGST, thank me later
I love Ralph's. We went as a group and everyone enjoyed their meal and the service. From the jalapeño poppers to the burgers, including slaw and curly fries, it was delicious! The wine and beer list is great too with reasonable prices. The atmosphere is cosy and the staff are attentive. 5 stars for my first visit!
We walked into Ralph's at 3.30pm (they opened at 3) on opening day. A faint smell of paint lingered in the air & the attentive staff welcomed us, brought over water for the table & took drink orders.
Miss 10 ordered the macaroni & Cheetos starter, master 9 Ralph's cheeseburger with free range streaky bacon & curly fries. I didn't feel like committing to a main, so ordered the flash fried calamari starter & curly fries and my mum the free range chimichurri chicken leg, Asian slaw & chicken fat potatoes.
Miss 10 loved the mac cheese & asked for another! The burger came out looking huge & delicious, the chicken & calamari were both cooked perfectly. All in all the food was pretty delicious.
If I could change anything, it would be more flavour on the chicken (although there are various sauces on the table - I added sriracha) & change the dipping sauce that comes with the calamari, or have the option of choosing another dipping sauce.
Lovely, lovely staff. Really appreciated the attentive yet non intrusive service.
Will be back for sure. My girl still wants that second macaroni :) & I'll be ordering that perfectly cooked calamari again.
Great tasting burgers. Soft steamed brioche buns, smashed burger patties, flavourful sauces, all make for an amazing burger. The lemon chilli wings were really crispy and juicy too, loved the sauce coating. Interesting drinks menu too, the alcoholic ginger beer is a definite must try. Keep it up guys, Love your work!!
ps: This was our last meal before heading to the hospital to have our baby.
Spicy buffalo wings (w/ranch+pickles), curly fries and the deluxe burger, all authentically American, with great portion sizes and everything was delicious. Our drinks were good and the staff were cheerful and friendly. The maillard/browning on the smash burgers was excellent and the presentation was top notch. I gotta say, it is so refreshing to receive food that looks like it does in the pictures. Chef's kiss
Surprised I havent reviewed Ralph's already seeing as it's my favorite restaurant in the entire world.
I've tried every burger spot in Auckland and hands down Ralph's is the best. It beats burgernaut, baby g, fat puku, and kanes. (And all of those are the S TIER burger spots in Auckland by the way so no offence meant to them)
I'm sorry but you just can't beat ralphs.
The staff is friendly and the burgers are perfect. Never change, my friends.
Excellent service, excellent burgers and chips, good range of beers, good value. A little cold in the courtyard but that was our fault for clashing with a game at Eden Park so it was packed. Drinks service was extremely quick and friendly.
Came here for dinner. As soon as I walked in, it was hard not to notice the ambience. I really like the back seating area which has a nice warmth to it. Food was great! Shared a burger and wings so we got to try both. The waffle fries were awesome, and came in a massive serving!
Not a burger person but Ralph's is worth trying out serving mulled wine that's a combo you didn't know you need. Delicious no fuss burger amazing service that makes a fantastic ambiance definitely a star
$25 bucks for a burger, chips and a pint in this cozzie livin crisis? That’s an easy five stars…
(Disclaimer that deal is Tuesdays only)
I will add though the true unsung hero is the chicken wings. Lots of flavours, I think I got orange? Super crispy like the good Korean Fried Chicken places do it. Leave room for these wings you won’t regret it…
Always been one of my favourite spots in Auckland. Great food, great atmosphere, staff, etc
The smash burgers at Ralph’s are the real deal! Very disappointed in myself for only just discovering them now…

The cutest place to enjoy a burger on a stormy winter’s day! We sat inside in the cozy booth seating and enjoyed both vegan burger options (yum) along with a classic option. The curly fries are seriously delicious and reason alone to check Ralph’s out 🥔 The Mac sauce is also a highlight, along with the little baskets the food is served in. Dogs welcome in the courtyard so the perfect weekend spot! Overall one of our fave burger spots in the central suburbs 🍔
