I purchased the fermented oat roll, which was still warm when I got it this morning and the smoked salmon was the best salmon I’ve ever eaten! I can’t wait to work my way through the menu. Very highly recommend.

I ate the most divine ham and cheese croissant here for lunch, warm, buttery and crisp, never tried a croissant better in Auckland before! Coffee was hot and strong. I definitely will be going back here to try the other mouth watering treats they had in the cabinet.

I follow a paleo eating plan with a base the excludes gluten and dairy. But, special occasions like Easter allow for a little leeway and Daily Bread provides the best ‘cheat’ day goodies. I have got to say your hot cross buns are THE BEST I’ve ever tasted and I had saved two for Easter morning only to discover my son had found them last night and finished them off. Yum, delish and worth every gluten filled mouthful. I want MORE!

Literally a dream come true. It’s surprisingly hard to find a good croissant in Auckland. Well, here they all are. Along with all their sweet and savoury friends. Lovingly made, with a conscientious food philosophy, great coffee (their very own Supreme Blend!), great atmosphere. An original and gorgeous menu. And did I mention how good the pastries are?! Yes I did.

After reading their review on the Denizen I decided to pop in to have a look at their breads. OMG they look ,smell and taste delicious. A good selection for everyone, good honest bread baking like I was used to in Europe - no nasties! I now drive over from the North Shore weekly to pick up my breads for the week. Oh and I always have a take-away coffee which isnt too bad either!

I've been a few times now and am slowly working my way through the menu! I love that you get the bread straight out of the oven, the kumara and fermented oat loaf are both delicious. Very much looking forward to trying the divine looking donuts!

My first ever visit, had the Apricot Danish, it tasted ok, a bit dry. Also they didn't have any decaf coffee. I asked why and the Barista told me because they didn't believe it tasted good to be part of their menu. (odd response imo) . However I will go back to try the lemon curd doughnuts and buy some Museli, I'll bring my own coffee. Fast paced environment, clean and has nice seating area. loads of parking in the back of the building.

Could eat this bread daily! [I absolutely love bread so I may or may not be biased. But this is definitely the place I’d recommend people to go to if they wanna hit up a bakery. I genuinely get so excited every time I’m here. Their pastries are amazing, pies are delicious, donuts (every flavour) is mouth-watering. Danishes and hazelnut croissants are a must. Forget about almond croissants (I’m jking, but just saying cus almond flavoured croissants can be found everywhere now so come try something new :)). The original store in Point Chevalier is such a nice place to relax in. They opened up inside Citta Newmarket this year which has literally been one of the best news I’ve received in 2020. Lol.
I do like it but definitely would prefer the one in Point Chevalier. They sell Supreme coffee too for those who want their morn coffees.
-> BE BACK OR BACK AWAY? Be back for sure. This is the place for your fresh, quality, tasty bread.]

Came here on a public holiday for a quick breakfast (coffee and pastry). Tables were understandably hard to come by but we managed to get a spot.
Coffee was good. Pastries and pies were of a high quality and most importantly were delicious.

Came here a while ago, got there almost at closing time but managed to get one of their croissant - it was honestly one of the best croissant i’ve had in Auckland, it was crispy and fluffy at the same time. The staff was friendly and fair price for the size!

The most amazing Reuben sandwich that I've ever eaten. The bread here is just sublime. Long queues out the door on the weekend, so come early. It's fresh, tasty and good portion size. Very happy, will be back

The bread is always fresh and yummy! A great place for a quick breakfast if you are a bread lover, because there isn’t many choices for breakfast. Otherwise it’s all good.

Pun unintended but Daily Bread has generated a bit of a cult following for their baked goods. In particular their taro sourdough had lines going out the door. That, coupled with still-warm pretzels, crispy pies and borderline-sinful donuts, you can, as Spinoff rightly puts “find the place by the trail of drool”. As a refurbished neoclassical bank building, we loved the contrast of modern, stark-white walls and LED beams with dark steel and glass industrial elements. We pondered over whether the vintage mahogany cabinets were originally from the buildings’ banking days, and collectively lost our minds when we learned that the big vault safe door at the back had been converted into a chiller. They have a petite sheltered courtyard to nom in and we imagine it’d be just as cosy in winter - there’s a wood fire oven so things look promising. We confess there are huskies who usually shy away from carbs and sugar, but today was a worthwhile cheat day. Go grab a hot cross bun right now, we swear you won’t regret it, even in sugar purgatory.

Food: 4.5/5
Service: 4/5
Overall: 4.3/5

Almost forgot to write a review for Daily Bread after the Auckland Art Fair😅 I was in the fair for five days and every day I bought a different pastry to try and I absolutely loved them! Plain croissant and ham and cheese croissants were so crunchy outside and silky inside. Their danish were so amazing!! Had rhubarb danish and raspberry pear danish and I was gutted I finished them so quickly:) I also tried strawberry custard sourdough donut (forgot to take a picture). Although it was a bit chaotic to eat it coz the cream oozed out once you had a bite, it was so yummy.
Definitely will go for round two:)

Love the baguettes from here!!! Good venue to have brunch or just quickly pick some up..there is heaps of parking out back if you drive behind kfc or down drive by wapiti bar. I always seem to get a park out front though on main rd.

Having retired their bread from their Parnell store I popped in to grab something for lunch to go.
The Egg and Chive Baguette was so yum!

I cannot say enough about this place & the people who were clever enough to create the concept. I am a fan of the Orphans Kitchen crew, and these guys followed through with another incredible product. I am lost without your daily offerings, twice called in to find you closed & chatted with other equally disappointed fans. We discussed how amazing your bread is, and also where we could go to get something close & 420 in remuera the only next best thing. Appreciate so much the good vibes each time we pop in, the staff all grooving to quality sounds, and always just relaxed & chilled. Thank you so much for bringing us offerings made with love, care & attention to detail, making things healthy versions of their original selves a massive bonus. Thanks a million, we know the work & effort it takes to create such excellent quality! Bless your hearts! xx

Fabulous bakery where the croissants absolutely melts in your mouths. Initially I first heard of the place through my flat mate on our way to basketball.

He would say that his weekly ritual consisted of Daily Bread's croissants before basketball. Intrigued about this bakery which delivered class croissants, I had high expectations coming to Daily Bread. Those expectations certainly did not disappointed as the bakery goods I feasted on were fantastic. The pretzels had was chewy while crisp with the skin, the doughnut was average I don’t think it had the best filling to dough ration and the blue berry was mixed in.

However, the Danish and Croissant? Will give Amano baking’s a run for their money , amazingly layered Croissant it melts into buttery deliciousness once in the mouth.

Showstopper: Probably my new brunch spot since moving out West. The bakery treats are marvelous.

Overall Grade: A

OH MY GOD the variety is amazing and everything looks so well taken care off. I got two donuts and and iced mocha. I wouldn’t get a iced coffee cause it wasn’t that great and it felt overpriced. But damn everything was really overpriced but like worth it!! Definitely recommend and I can’t wait to go to the Parnell one too!

We had ham croissants, pan an chocolate and toast with salmon and pear kimchi. Everything was really good. Will be going back again. But bear in mind it's really busy on weekends, stand in line and share tables.

Give us today our Daily Bread! I’m honestly still thinking about the Tamarillo Danish I snatched up! The flaky delicious pastry, balanced with the slighty sour but very juicy Tamarillo was such a delight, that I happily savoured it before my jazz perfomance in the nearby RSA. What also came as lovely surprise was how good their interesting combo of Matcha and Lime in their Croissant was! Though, as a big matcha fan, I would have preferred an even stronger matcha taste. Also, I picked up the Cheese Bun or something like that but could’ve done without it, in my opinion. However, THE COFFEE!! Probably the best Iced White Coffee I’ve ever had! Didn’t need to add sugar, it was perfect for me and super yummy. Really happy it was $5 as I think anything more is a bit too much. Longing to have another Iced Coffee even as I write this. Had always wanted to pop in here ever since their opening (since I’m a sucker for the aesthetics), and as someone who previously only enjoyed bread from the french bakery in browns bay, I am glad to say I can now add Daily Bread to my picky bread palatte.

If I could choose what food to have in a cafe, the vibe and look of the place, this would be it. What a STUNNING bakery/deli/cafe. Food all looks amazing, beautifully presented. Menu is flawless with variety and flavour and uniqueness. I want to try everything. They have a range of foods from gourmet sandwiches, to pies (very popular) hot cross buns, doughnuts, muesli, olive oil.. you must come here. Very popular, awesome spot. Delicious food. Slightly pricey, but so worth.

Big points for bringing some serious style to the KFC/bakery wasteland of The Point Chev strip!

Great setup in the old bank and excellent outdoor area that probably needs expansion pretty quickly.

Brave move that’s paying off.

The kahawai sandwich is recommended amongst a great array of fresh bakery (and amazing doughnuts!).

What a surprise the crowds were! And to the staff too obviously. They seemed completely stunned and were by turns struggling or running to keep up. We were impressed with the steadfast people taking orders and preparing the food, despite enormous pressure. The food we had was very good, though fillings were a little sparse, the New Yorker wasn’t impressed. We might go back another day during the week to check out the cabinet and bakery, neither of which we couldn’t get a look at, having been almost stripped bare by 12pm and blocked by the sheer number of bodies. The out door seating space and shade sails will definitely need to be extended if this level of popularity continues.

What a great little place this is if you like your bread fresh and tasty. We order a couple of the baguettes and everyone who tried it confirmed that it was almost as good as the ones you can get in France.

They also do 100% rye and a number of other traditional breads.

Great service.

We will definitely be back which is not going to be good for the waist line!

Tried the rye bread and Croissants yesterday - both fantastic

Beautiful pastries!
Its cool how it is an open kitchen-makes the place smell wonderful and you get to view the heavenly rows of carb goodness
We got the hazelnut crossiant which i recommend 100%
The curries kumara pie was also beautiful
But the stand out for me was definitely the avocado chocolate mousse donut! A must try
Will def come back
There is plenty of parking behind the building but not too many seating-all of it which is outdoors too so winter days may be freezing

The shop has a variety of bakeries and jams to go with. The dining area is relaxing with high roof and good sunshine.Highly recommend toasted corn beef sandwiches, at least eight layers of beef inside. A very sincere food! Can park at a parking place at the back and enter from the back door from a stairway. Will be back ~

As loyal locals, my husband and I have had the pleasure of watching our neighbourhood evolve over the years. Amidst all the changes, one thing has remained constant - our cherished bakery. Beyond the pastries, what makes this bakery truly special is its role in our community. The staff knows us by name and always takes a moment to chat. It's not just about serving customers; it's about fostering a sense of belonging. The bakery has become a meeting place for friends and neighbour.

Like bread? Real bread? Then search no more, here you will find REAL bread and pastry, i have tried their bread before but this was the first time going to the place. We had a Mutton and Mince pie that was GREAT, a Custard tart that was amazing and a Ham & Cheese Croissant that didn't dissapoint at all. I hope we had a Daily Bread in the North Shore...

Only dropped in on my way to my dentist on the corner. WOW !! MEAN LOOKING AND TASTING TREATS. Not your average bakery by any means. This does include the prices I'm afraid. Couldn't get a 3 or even 4 dollar donut here but delicious food. Little too pricey for Pt Chev.

The power of crafting your own recipe , it taste real, taste good , great place for a nice hearty breakfast , little detail is that food should have more description, like the “eggs and bacon”, it doesn’t say spicy sauce so it was funny watching my wife eyes popping out as she don’t and can’t eat spicy . 😵🤣

We had an online order which we picked up after being delivered since we weren't in the delivery area. It was the hot cross buns. I'm not a big fan of hot cross buns and these ones were ok. I did like the cross bits but not a big fan of the fruits. I would probably like some other bread but this was what we had. Edit: The cheese tiwst was interesting but the hazelnut croissant was nice. Their frozen croissants require leaving it in an oven overnight to prove before baking. It came out flaky and quite crispy but required more time then instructed.

Nice little cafe around a very impressive bakery operation. The baked goods are devine, but the menu leaves somewhat to be desired. I paid $15 for a samwhich that was pretty tasty but they had nothing green available as toppings...only preserves and sauces.

Amazing pastries, bread, doughnuts, and pies. Be prepared to line up as there is often a crowd on the weekend. Fortunately the line moves quickly and the staff are very efficient. The atmosphere is great with a huge open kitchen and the amazing smells of baking. There is seating in a covered courtyard accessible from the side of the bakery.
