We just love Kir. It’s our go to favourite Indian restaurant. We adore the lamb biryanis and each curry we have had has been authentic and delicious. So happy they are serving in our community �

Great tasting curries. I was put off ordering from here for ages because when you go through menulog it won't let you order only one banquet for two. I assumed this was a new store policy.
So this time I thought I would phone my order through to see if I can only order one, and, yay, I could. So maybe this needs fixing on menulog so other potential customers don't get put off.
So full This is the only Indian restaurant you need to visit delish!!!
We always get takeout however the place is lovely with great ambience. The butter chicken is the best we have ever had you want be disappointed with its tandoor chicken and their moorish ‘home made’ tomato gravy! The medium spiced has just enough kick to enjoy while the mild suits kids and older people in our household. The garlic nan is a must cooked in the clay oven so make sure you buy enough or there’ll be a scramble over it. 🤣
The staff are very friendly and always have a smile.

Informal and casual, friendly and very professional staff and Amazing service we book a table for 12 people for Birthday we got the best service we could not expect anything more we were amazed by service, had Tandoori chicken , goat curry , food is full of flavours and amazing potion, we will defiantly go again. once again thanks for all your support and hard work

Went there first time to experience and see what they offer went in with no expectations and oh my god the flavours and spice were just so good. The food was delicious and what I loved the best was you can order the sizes you want normal, large or family pack. The Naan were also good

I first ordered here on ubereats and really really liked it since then I have ordered from here 4 times and food is really delicious they are very accommodating and listen to everything that we ask them to cater for. I like the naan nice and fluffy and always get the yummy paneer makhani. YUM. A+ on service, really nice would definitely keep coming back.
A lovely Indian restaurant that consistently provides extremely tasteful meals. We usually get takeaways (because they do delivery!) and have tried several of the curries on the menu, and the Chicken Mughlai is a must! We have never had a meal from here that is less than delicious, and I have always received wonderful customer service. Most definitely will be back again, and again. Thank you!!
THE. BEST. HANDS. DOWN. Kurukshetra can do no wrong! Their food is ALWAYS consistent. We've tried nearly every curry on their menu, and each is so unique and packed with fresh flavour. You can tell they really put their hearts and souls into each dish. The flavours are out of this world - nothing you can expect from any other Indian restaurant in Auckland! (and we've tried a lot!). No matter which place we choose to stray to, we always end up coming back to this humble little warm haven. Thank you Kurukshetra!
This restaurant is just around the corner from me, I have been coming here on/off for over 10yrs... I can’t fault the food and I always make sure I order too much so I can have the leftovers for lunch the next day... great service... a very enjoyable meal
This place is unassuming and plain on the outside but warm and lovely on the inside. Such a beautiful ambience with the exposed brick and warm colours, tasteful decorations. The service here is amazing - friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The food is even better! Quality ingredients crafted together to produce a beautiful balance of flavours, spices harmonising together. The portions are perfect, especially for the reasonable pricing. I'm excited to visit again!
Ate here with the Vegetarian crew and it was awesome. There flavors are really flowing. Order the mild versions if you are visiting for the first time so you can dwell upon the intricacies of taste.
Happy people equals lovely food. I had the Lamb Kadhai Gosht btw and I really enjoyed every bit of it. My young guns with their Paneer Tikka Masala seemed to go through their dish with vigour whilst the Boss chose the Malai Kofta. Off course i tasted the sauces of each dish and would encourage the Chef to maintain his efforts here. BTW..lovely setting and they serve alcohol...
The food here is divine! We ordered home delivery so I can't rate the restaurant itself but food wise it is delicious. We ordered butter chicken, beef vindaloo, chicken mughalai, garlic naan, cheese naan and plain naan. Food arrived hot and everything was cooked to perfection. The only scepticism I have is that the cheese naan wasn't as cheesy as I would've hoped (but we all have different tastes so hardly a bad point), order took around an hour to arrive - but we did order through menulog and an hour is quite standard for this site. Would definitely order from here again, this will likely be my new regular!
I have always had consistently good curries and naan bread here, and have tried several items off the menu. Have always had takeaway, so can't comment on the dine-in service. Generally about 20 minutes for my order to be ready.
Nice food but small portions, but my biggest gripe is the lady on reception looks shocked when you arrive, and leaves you standing for too long, when she knows you are waiting for a table. Service is very slow, as the reception lady also is the waiter, so your food is delayed when she has to answer the phone for a takeaway, etc. They have also mixed up my orders before, with entrees arriving late (after the main course curry).
I took my granddaughter here for dinner a couple of months ago and it was really lovely. Excellent food and service and love that it's BYO. Thinking of coming back for my 60th.
They got some Amazing breads (naans) and good choice of mains . Very handy and approachable place . Must try .. Good job .. My favourite cheese n garlic naan
Hands down the BEST Indian food we've had. We used to be massive fans of Handi and they are still good, but Kurukshetra beats it by far. Great prices, amazing food, and the nicest man delivered to our door, he was so friendly and lovely. The food was so delicious! We will definitely be back and recommending to others. Thanks!
We first tried Kurukshetra at the beginning of November (family of four, dining in). Since then, we've dined in on another occasion, and also ordered takeaways from them. We're planning to go back there next week, taking friends with us this time. In other words, Kurukshetra is our new favourite Indian restaurant. Fabulous food, relaxed environment, and the staff there are lovely people - very friendly and helpful. So far we seem to be working our way through the chicken section of the menu; well, my husband always orders chicken tikka masala, and my kids always order butter chicken...I've tried the Chicken Hadrabadi, the Chicken Korma, and the Mango Chicken. The entrée platter, Mumbai Aloo, and Aloo Gobhi have also met with approval. Next time, I might check out the lamb.Highly recommended.
Ohhhh my GOD guys!!! Best mango lassie ever! Others I have tried are too milky or smell etc.. but theirs is just soooooo good! It taste exactly like mango should, the texture is right and sometimes I've had mine with dried fruit on top free garnish. So delicious!!!
Anyway! It only ever had butter chicken and chicken briyani from here. Super delicious! Naan bread needs to be softer though
Close to home - this has become a regular takeout for us & I'm not that much of a fan of Indian cuisine. Great service & delicious fresh dishes no matter what you order. Highly recommended :-)
Food and was nice. Not too pricey, and when delivered the food was still hot. I would order from here again - the korma was delicious!! Yummy
Took Kerri (fav. cousin) on a Friday night and both of us "knocked out" with the in-house dining. Staff efficient and polite, not the least in your face, décor nice and with a genuine feel. The 3 greatest concerns: food was flavoured with a real feel to it, clean, a refreshing aspect when dining out and value was excellent. Verdict: one of the best dining places, Kerri and I will return to often. :-)
Yummy food so much value for ur money and if u can't finish the food u can always take it home=D,well balanced dishes,only regret is I was too full to grab dessert but the food is plenty and I suggest that if u eat there that ur very hungryXD

Awesome restaurant! Eaten a fair share of Indian food and this place stood out indeed. The flavones in the butter chicken were very on point. Very much recommend.
Although I don't love Indian food, I enjoyed the food here. I would recommend the chicken korma and garlic naan bread for a tasty meal. However, I do believe it is quite pricy for what you get.
Really impressed with the transition from Curry Leaf to Poppadoms. Really nice meal with the family, including great Jalfrezzi(sp?). Service was good, particularly the guy behind the counter- he was full of personality and keen to get feedback from customers. Clean interior. It's a good local Indian restaurant.

We were regulars to this place when it was "The Curry Leaf", enjoyed $13 dine in curries on Monday or Tuesday nights, glad to see that this offer has continued. We Have had takeaway from poppadoms the past few weeks, all delicious and have been on the right side of spicy ( we like our food to have a bit of a kick). Good sized portions, I always come home with leftovers.

Ranjeeta and her team hosted approx. 40 of our staff members for a farewell lunch. She was amazing with communication and arranging the logistics. The food was top notch! We couldn't fault one bit. Highly recommended! We will be back again soon.
Been going to Raag for couple of years now whenever we get the urge for a taste of Indian and it never disappoints. Favourite dish currently is the Tikka chicken which arrives on piping hot, sizzling cast iron platter…Delicious !! And the vegetarian Aloo gobhi is also very tasty. Highly recommend and will always return when we get the urge👍🏻

Food is so delicious. We've tried a few different dishes off the menu and they've all been fantastic. Mumbai aloo was my favourite.
I've eaten in and had takeaway from there. And food quality is so good and then I dined in an atmosphere & service was brilliant.

Beautiful Dhal, Korma, Jalfreezi, Tikka Masala, Lamb Saag…and the breads and entrees are a delicious addition as well. And the service is lovely too. Great for takeaway or dining in. Thanks team!

Was our first time but definitely won’t be our last! We ate in restaurant. 30 mins wait for meal. A bit long considering we were the only in-house customers, but by the rate of ppl coming+going with takeaways…kitchen was super-busy. And how understandably so. Food was really delicious, tho a tiny bit salty. Drinks were generous size+reasonably priced. Young man at front counter gave us wonderful table service. He was very polite and a pleasure.
