We had the butter chicken and chicken kadai tonight. Plenty of lovely moist chicken pieces in very tasty sauces . The onion bhaji was crisp and the garlic naan bread was light and tasty. Portion sizes were good. It's a very stylish venue and would be ideal for group bookings. Staff are lovely and friendly too and prices are reasonable.
My husband came here for dinner on a Friday night. Not busy only us and one more table and several people came in for take aways. I would give a five but the food was slow coming out, which I'm guessing is just because it's fresh. The waiter was very friendly though. We shared the chicken Tikka for an entree it had a great flavour and the chicken was very juicy, I often find it can be quite dry. For main I had paneer shahi. It was very nice, just a bit too sweet. The rotis were great, very fresh and soft. Would love to come back again

A little piece of New Delhi in the heart of Auckland ❤️ Hands down the best Indian in town. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. If you think men can't cook then you'll be blown away by the fully flavoursome dishes the chefs whip up here! Very impressive! Ample parking right infront of the restaurant, warm and welcoming staff, excellent service! Curries to die for! 👌👌👌 Warning⚠ always bring your appetite!
Great! Food is lovely, tastey, and fast service. Always walk out feeling full and as if I have had a good meal. Friendly staff too, been a regular for 7 years.
My friend and I come to New Deli once or twice a month. We enjoy both the food and the service. Parul Bhatia served us last night and contributed to our lovely evening by her prompt and friendly service and general manner. She remembered our drinks and order from last time which made us feel very valued. A great evening
Excellent customer service, the butter chicken is an obvious crowd favourite and I have never been steered wrong from it. 5/5 from me. Been here numerous times, and can consider it our local 🙂
This place has really friendly service and delicious food. I had the paneer tikka masala and it was fantastic, although I ordered it medium and I feel like they may have held back a bit with the spices. But I was pleasantly surprised with some complimentary poppadoms, which don't normally come with food to go. I will definitely be returning to dine in, it had a very charming atmosphere.

We had food delivered from New Delhi. The food was delivered promptly and was hot on arrival. We had garlic naan, panel tikka masala, dhal makhni, and chicken tandoori. The food was delicious. The paneer and the dhal makhni were my favourite. We asked for medium and it was just the right amount of spicy. We will definitely be ordering in or dining at New Delhi next time we have indian!
Had a great night entertaining friends. We went in a large group and orders a variety of non-veg and veg dishes. The food was very tasty and came out promptly and piping hot. Tandoori grilled meat fishes were excellent quality! Servers were attentive as the restaurant was not too busy. Not too many choices for alcoholic drinks though. Would be nice if they offered cocktails. Would definitely visit again.

Ordered in for a delivery. The guy that answered the phone was nice and invited us to eat in next time since they have apparently changed management and chef. He also asked us to give their place a review incase we liked the food. I usually don't review places but this restaurant deserves some credit.
We got Dal Makhani, Paneer Masala (gravy), Chicken Tikka Masala and 3 garlic naan breads. The food took 40 mins to be delivered which wasn't too bad considering it was a Friday night. We asked for spicy but not to the point where it was uneatable - so it was perfect on that note. The food was great! Personally my favorite was the Dal Makhani, I highly recommend this dish for the vegetarians out there. The panner and chicken dishes also had great flavors.
We will be eating in next time to experience the food again hot out of the kitchen!
Ate here last week with my partner. Ordered butter chicken and lamb vindaloo. The service was prompt and the dishes were flavorful. The naan breads were soft just how we like them! No problems with parking either. Just wish these guys had lunch specials, we'd probably end up eating here everyday!
We were there 2 days ago for dinner. It's back under the old management. Had a great evening and the food was great. The service was impeccable and meals were served quickly and flavours were good. No doubt with continued enthusiasm shown by the management, it will be at 5 star levels in no time at all.

Ambience is good and Staff is polite and helpful.Love their Dal Makhani, Kadai chicken and onion bhaji.The servings are reasonably sized and prices competitive.Would definitely recommend this restaurant for dining out.
This place has been a roller coaster ride for me. This restaurant was once rated the best Indian restaurant in New Zealand. Management and ownership was doing a great job and you could tell. It then went on to new management and the quality had dropped. I am now currently writing this review after the previous ownership has taken management again. I ate there 3 days ago and it was quite possibly the best Indian food I have ever had in my life. I personally fell in love with the daal maakani and butter chicken but my wife couldn't get over the vindaloo. Please disregard any old bad reviews as the reputation of this restaurant was ruined by the new management. I assure you, if you try this restaurant you will not be disappointed. The food truest does taste authentic and the spices really are blended well. If you are looking for a restaurant that is underrated with reasonable prices then this is the place for you! 5 STAR FOOD ALL DAY!!!!
Absolutely delicious!! Enjoyed a meal starting with entrées, large main dishes and finished with dessert. Service was fantastic and prompt! Will definitely be coming back here again.

I recently attended a friend's daughter's birthday party at New Delhi. The food was simply amazing! Especially the Daal makhani and the Chicken tikka masala! I had been before before but didn't remember the food being this delicious. Turns out the management has changed hands! The staff is friendly and polite and the owner was present to overlook things. I will definitely book this place for my next event. Best Indian food I've had in a while.

I celebrated my daughters first birthday here...food and service were amazing. The staff was helpful. I checked many other restaurants before finalising this one but none of the other restaurants offered that much food variety in the price I paid. Overall neat and clean. Food is good...must try chicken tikka masala and lamb curry. Interiors are little old but offer best Indian food in town.
Nice service, nice currys. My partner had a delicious vege korma and I had fish masala. Really enjoyed it :-) one peice of feedback is the naan was a bit dry but overall we had a nice experience
We spotted the roadside banner which advertises a $9.95 buffet, and stopped off for a 'spur of the moment' early tea with two children in tow. It was a pretty simple, but tasty and filling selection - naan, rice, dal, chicken makhani, cabbage stir-fry & butter chickpeas.
Restaurant is well-maintained and clean. Toilets clean, but one sink tap needs fixing. Waitress was polite and offered suggestions for children's food etc.
Would return for another early tea, because we thought the price and opening time of 5pm were both pretty decent.
Warm plates! This makes a great difference in providing good service and excellent service. Friendly and attentive staff. Great management; we had arrived a little after their closing time of 2.30pm on a Sunday however they still hosted us and allowed us to take our time. Definitely adding to the list of favourite restaurants.
came here for a work dinner during the week so tends to be quiet. If not for takeaways orders you'd think they were more likely to close and have a day off.
Restaurant is roomy and has parking for 10 cars in front. However at the Royal oak end so parking on the road can be havoc at peak hour.
We were given a free entree that they were trialing. It was aromatic and spicy chicken with rice. Not sure what it was called.
Our ordered entree was very morish. Deep fried veges but not oily. 8/10
Lamb Rogan josh was more than acceptable taste and appearance if anything the serving size is small for $19. 8/10. Chicken Jafreeezi again was tasty food was medium hot but I'd say could have been hotter and more a medium. Garlic Naan was well cooked and garlic was not overpowering.
Id go back and try some other dishes.
It has to be one of 3 best indian restaurants in Auckland.
Today I went there after 2 years and I was extremely impressed with the outstanding service by Ketaki..The food was awesome. I had vegetarian and the chef. Must be outstanding. I will give high recommendation. Planning to go there soon with my family and friends.

We went to this Restaurant on New Years Eve and all had a lovely meal each. The only thing we can suggest is to fix your coffee machine and have some european type desserts so we don't have to go elsewhere. Otherwise highly recommend this Restaurant to one and all - excellent service too.
Ordered the vegetarian and meat options two person platters for four people.
All of it was superb. The curries were just the right hotness for us and jam packed with flavours and ingredients.
The appetizers were awesome as well. The samosas were the best I have ever had, with cashews and raisins!
As we ordered takeaway, we had plenty leftover for lunches the next day!
Will be back to try more of their extensive menu!

Ordered this last night to be delivered. The food not only came very quickly and promptly, it was also delicious. When I buy curries from other restaurants, they're usually ridiculously stingy on the meat, but there was a lot in mine.
Will definitely be coming back again.
My home away from home - and I'm not Indian. Have been patronising New Delhi for at least four years now and the service has always been friendly and fast, and the meals filling and tasty without being heavy or stodgy.
After our recent Masala Titirangi debacle, we went to New Delhi this evening to wash the bad Masala taste out of our mouths, and were were not disappointed.
Worth every dollar. Thanks, New Delhi - we'll see you in the new year!

Butter chicken is to die for even the mild version has enough kick for the soft pallet and with fresh warm garlic you can smell coming off the naan bread- I savoured every last bite. Place was empty but I was there at 5.30 so expected. Staff friendly enough. Best butter chicken I've had in years. Restaurant was comfortable and ambient. Mango lassi was pretty yum too.
The New Delhi is one of my locals, and would say one of the best. I have been here many times with friends and we have always been satisfied with the food, service and ambience. The vegetarian platter is wonderful, and Lamb Rogan Josh is my favourite. Go with an empty stomach, as the portions are very generous.
Initially we wanted a delivery but were informed they were short of staff. We decided to dine in and try the free drinks offer. Malai chicken tikka and lamb chops were superb. Our chicken curry was tasty as well. No problems with parking
New Delhi is now run under new management. There have been significant changes made and it surely reflects in the taste and quality of food. Ordered malai chicken tikka, paneer and fish tikka, all of them exceptional tasting. The staff and the ambience were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Yesterday night went to New delhi to eat dinner there. And the taste we got is tremendous and really made me to think of visiting again.. folks thinks same as well... had really good time and enjoyed perfect indian style spicy meal that I've never ever found it in other places but this restaurant got good quality tidy and very silent place to go out for dinner....

Brilliant. And nice decor. I have had here the Lamb Saagwala, lamb Korma and my son had the butter chicken and gave it the thumbs up.
