Had a piece of their New York cheesecake today. It was so delicious and decadent. I'd highly recommend and definitely go back for more. Although it was $12.90 for a slice, it was a very generously sized piece that needed to be shared. I look forward to trying more treats soon. Yum!
Fresh and no so sugary donut. Wouldn’t go back to krispy kreme
Excellent customer experience. We had a chocolate cake... and boy!! It was delicious!! A perfect place to fulfill your sweet cravings!!!
Ordered online and process was easy. Friendly service. Nice takeaway box. Deep dish Banofee pie and bonus that it came with a glass dish which I can reuse. Mixed reviews on the pie from our household, some loved it and some not so much.
Just order donuts through Uber eats. My work mate and I are amazed. Best donut I’ve had hands down. So fresh and light. So so good. Can’t wait to try more food from here.
I wedge banoffee pie for $12? I rather buy 2 from night market.
Wow the xmas decorations were beautiful! The range of pies and desserts were very broad. Would definitely revisit to satisfy the sweet tooth
Got a slice of their strawberry cheesecake! Really thick and creamy, beautifully tasting and delicate. The strawberry jam on the top was tart and balanced out the cheesy flavors and the base was so soft and caramel tasting. A little expensive ($12.50) for a slice though!
Came here late afternoon a few weeks ago, as I was having a donut craving. It’s a lovely donut and pie shop and I love the old diner vibes from the store.
We were served by a new staff member (she told us she was new), and she was very helpful in helping us choose flavours.
Our favourite flavours were: Bacon glazed, Matcha cake donut (quite a strong matcha flavour) and pic’s peanut butter.
The Kia Ora lime pie is excellent! The sweetness of the airy cheesecake base is balanced by the sourness of lime flavor. The pastry is a little bit soft but it doesn’t affect the whole tasting experience. Totally love it.
Came for the donuts and was not disappointed. There's a lot of flavors to choose from so bring a mate and enjoy.
Tried the cherry pie, cherry New York cheese cake & coconut cream meringue - all were lovely. Cherry pie was right combo of tart & sweet, cheesecake cake was yum & coconut cream is the 1 I recommend as a must try. Grabbed a small lime pie & some cookies for takeaway. Pie slices are a bit expensive but if you want a 1 off treat then get a slice.
Thank you so much Danielle for the effort you went through remedying the issue we encountered! We are very very happy with the box of donuts personally delivered to our house. The vegan range tastes amazing and even better than the non vegan donuts. We appreciate your business and your care and respect for your customers. We are now hooked and will definitely be our go to for any donut cravings.
I have been wanting to come here for some time and have now been here twice! The first time was to pick up a Kia Ora lime pie which was amazing! The filling was awesome it was not too sweet and not too tangy and it was quite custardy, mousse like smooth texture with piped meringue and freeze dried strawberries on top, so goood.
The second time was to pick up a carrot cake which looked and tasted awesome. It is a big 3 layer carrot cake with cream cheese frosting definitely a big cake for its price if you compare to some other cake places.
I came with two other people and I tried the strawberry cheesecake which they give a generous slice (not complaining!) which was delish, and the mini pecan pie was also very nice with the coffee there and the lady that served us was very friendly and welcoming. We took home a slice of coconut cream pie, which was nice but a little too sweet for me, and 2 salted honey doornuts and a maple frosted long donut which tasted good.
All in all I would definitely be coming here a few times when I can, especially for Kia Ora Lime pie and to try out other goods 🤤👍
Absolutely amazing! I have tried the kia ora lime pie, coconut cream pie, cherry pie, lemon meringue pie and one of the s’mores doughnuts as well. All of them are amazing! Sweet and sour balanced perfectly. Pie crust is buttery and crispy. The fillings are simply divine. Doughnut is fresh, fluffy and not too airy. Definitely will be trying the whole menu in the future.
Wonderful American style pies and donuts. Bottomless filter coffee is a bonus. Outdoor seating, not much inside. Maple Bacon donuts and cinnamon rolls are standouts, but everything in the case is just as good. Pies are amazing, with coconut cream and the Kiwi Lime being my favorites.
Finally got a chance to try their donuts today. Their donuts were so yummy! Perfect sweetness, Fluffy texture. Will defo come back and try their cake!
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CHEESECAKE IN AKL.
it’s creamy, smooth, cheesy and oh so yummy ❤️ and did I mention the staffs are so amazing and friendly too?
• Strawberry Cheesecake slice was so generously sliced as well!

Was given a key lime pie as a present. Delicious lime and custardy tart. Well balance sweet, sour and tartness. Worth the value for $55. Can definitely be cut to about $8 slices generously.
Tried the Kia ora lime pie and omg so good. The pastry was perfect and flaky and i love meringue on anything. My kids loved the donuts too. The kind of place that takes forever to decide what you want lol.
Not usually a fan of sweet pies or cakes but we had to check this place out. Got the kia ora lime pie which is absolutely stunning too look at and is packed with lime flavour. Also got the apple pie which was pretty good and a cinnamon/pecan roll was ok. Key lime for life.
Came by to pick up an online order. I also ended up getting a slice of the coconut cream pie since I was there. Almost got all the donuts as well since they were looking really nice but (un)fortunately I had to walk back to the car which was far away so didn't want to carry too many things in case they spilled.
I was expecting more coconut flavour in the coconut cream pie but there was a lot of desiccated coconut instead. It made up the base and there was also flakes over the pie. the pie was still quite tasty but not what I was expecting. They do have some tables for sit-ins but it is fairly small. One of those places where you want to try everything.

While waiting for a friend and in desperate need for my coffee fix I found this quaint bakery shop. The staff are very friendly and warm. I ordered their blueberry cheesecake and one bite took me back to my home country (tears filling up now) it is so good and a perfect pairing with a cup of coffee. If you are looking for a dessert fix or a place to chill with a pleasant ambience, this is the place. Heaps of baked goods just like home😊
Looking for a cheeky sweet treat on Tuesday arvo, I stumbled upon Doornuts and fell in love with their range of donuts and cakes. Presented beautifully but in a down-to-earth kinda way, there were so many interesting flavours to choose from.
Basic donuts are $4.50 but the majority go up from there, and I ended up choosing a S’more donut. The marshmallow was huge and super chewy, and I’m glad that the chocolate glaze wasn’t overly sweet. The texture of the broken biscuits was a nice touch too. The actual donut base was okay – a bit drier than I would’ve liked, but definitely not bad.
Keen for another visit to try more flavours!
Really good donuts! They have a wide selection of different flavours. Friendly staff as well :)they should expand their place so they can have more seating though
If your after some sweet treats to impress / for a special occasion, be sure to give Doornuts a call. The size of them is bigger than your standard doughnut – not to mention the amount of toppings piled on top. In saying that the actual doughnuts aren’t as sweet as most places and I wouldn’t recommend going for their plain glazed flavour purely for this reason. The toppings make the doughnuts shine for sure and my favourites are the strawberry cheesecake, peanut butter chocolate and cookies & cream. I’m yet to try there pies but they are next on the list 😉
So yum got the lemon meringue pie and one of the best pies I have eaten. Also got the cinnamon scroll and that was so delicious! So hard to choose between all the pies. Can’t wait to return
I was just walking around, waiting for Holm to open when I saw an array of sweet pies and doughnuts!
The doughnut is the bready type and it's wasn't too sweet. I quite like the doughtnut.
The staff was friendly and nice even to a random person who came in to ask for water and didn't purchase anything. He let him drink with a smile.
When a lady left, the staff talked among themselves about how nice it was for her to visit again. Sorry, I didn't mean to eavesdrop but I heard it.
There is also a bowl of water for pets in front of the shop. What a nice touch!
Beautiful donuts, a great US style menu and friendly service. Love the Cup O Joe with cream. Definitely need to go back to try the breakfasts. Friendly polite service too.
Everything you could want to satiate your sweet tooth, in a lovely old-school North American diner setting. The pies are wonderful to look at and even more wonderful to eat, beautifully and lovingly crafted and full of flavour. They're backed up by a delightful range of things to drink and smaller sugary goodies.
The only slight fault was a bit of a lack of seating - there's minimal table space inside and the outside table space looked a little unloved during our visit - but luckily there was just enough space to enjoy our meal. Plus, of course, any delicious item on the menu you find yourself wanting, can just as easily be taken away with you.
If you're on K Rd and you enjoy the sweeter things in life, it's definitely worth popping in.
Best cinnamon roll I have ever tasted in my life! Strawberry cheesecake doughnut was amazing - Ferrero doughnut was a little intense and not the softest but the creme brûlée was AMAZING
Been there a couple times and both were great. The filtered coffee was nice (good option for those that prefer something softer than an espresso-based coffee) and you can get as many refills as you'd like. Also had a buttermilk scone (they say it's not a scone, but this is the best way to describe it) and bacon sandwich. Both the scone and bacon were fresh, crunchy, and tasted great.
Now as for sweets, they were all amazing! Both pies (pecan, and coconut and lychee) were great and the cinnamon roll was the best I've ever had. Still have to come back to try their doughnuts as they all look so good.
After hearing lots of good things, I finally went on a Friday evening to pick up a few goodies. Ended up getting a cinnamon spice donut, a strawberry sprinkle donut, a pumpkin pie and a coconut lychee pie to take home. Pies were delicious, reminded me of my time in America. Great with a cup of coffee.
The donut....a real donut! Yeasty and soft. Not overtly sweet and with cinnamon sugar, just the way I like it. The quality really showed. The mass produced ones have nothing on these delicious treats.
Will definitely be coming back for the donuts!!
Doughnuts!!!! Pieesss!!! I also heard they do fried chicken but have yet to try it!
Definitely a place to satisfy my guilty pleasure. The doughnuts are denser and more like a bread but the flavours are so interesting i keep wanting more. I love the strawberry cheesecake flavour.
The shop is too cute to miss! Next time you are on k road keep an eye out :)
They make proper doughnuts here, if you're looking for cheap, commercially produced ones then you can go to Dunkin Doughnuts. The ones we got had a soft texture, the flavours were great, not too sweet.
Omg tried the strawberry cheesecake doughnut (or should i say "doornut") at the auckland food show and it was so heavenly 😍😍😍😍 and the promoters were so helpful and friendly. Defs going to get more
Had doornuts delivered to my work, the delivery was a bit late but boy was it worth the wait!! Can definitely say I was the favourite employee that day, the cinnamon and strawberry were my favourite but everyone else loved the chocolate with pearls. Will definitely order again, and again and again! The packaging is also beautiful.
I'd seen this place on kroad a couple of times before and marked on my Auckland list but knew it would need to wait until cheat day!
Went to the pie piper & doornuts this evening and I planning on having a doughnut as I'd heard good things about doornut doughnuts on insta! But the cakes just looked too good so after much debate we decided on the blueberry crumble cinnamon swirl and a slice of the chocolate cake.
Both amazing. The cinnamon roll was huge! Very soft not dry at all which I find can be the issue sometimes The chocolate cake also wow all chocolate right down to the butter icing.
Great value for money actually too the massive cinnamon roll was only $5! And $6 for the choc cake.
Great Friday take away treat with the rainy weather!
I initially tried The Pie Piper products around various Auckland markets. I am so happy that they now have a store. The pies and donuts are simply amazing! My personal favourite pie is the rocky road. Definitely a place to stop for a delicious treat!
Went for breakfast, had their plain biscuit (kinda like a scone) with their special apple butter, was absolutely delicious!!!!!!! Very friendly staff too 🙂
10/10 donuts cravings satisfied ! Tried out a mixture of different donuts and decided that my favourite was the strawberry cheesecake. I'm sure I'll be back to try more interesting flavours in the near future
I love how they displayed theirs doughnuts and cakes, they all looked so attractive. Wanna buy them all!
The place is quite small, but I love the cozy homey feeling.
Me and my friend had a difficult time to choose. They all looked so good, seriously.
We ended up having: bacon and maple, peanut butter and jelly, and blueberry crumbs doughnuts.
All are so delish.
And sweet (of course).
I can feel the home-made feeling.
Definitely will come back to try other variances :)

Really cute place. Really friendly lovely staff. They do full size pies, pies by the slice, mini pies and a selection of donuts. I always appreciate little shops like this that make their goods from scratch and with love. Everything in this place looks amazing. So far I've tried the pumpkin pie, kia ora pie (key lime pie), banoffee pie, cherry pie, pear/apple crumble pie, strawberry cheesecake donut and the cinnamon donut. The strawberry cheesecake donut is my favorite. Best donut texture ever. I've ever been much for sweet pies but theirs aren't too shabby. The banoffee pie was the only thing I didn't like. The banana in it wasn't ripe yet and there wasn't much caramel flavour in it.
I'm glad to see a place finally doing American desserts. If you're into that, then pay this place a visit.
Cute little donut and pie store on k road. They have a unique selection of donuts such as the blueberry crumble, lemon meringue and strawberry cheesecake.
My favourites are definitely the strawberry cheesecake and their chocolate donut (those chocolate ball sprinkles thing are amazing).
My friend in Christchurch ordered a Rocky Road pie and had it delivered to my work as a surprise birthday present. Pie arrived beautifully packaged and in picture perfect condition. rocky road pie is amazing!
I had a brilliant experience coming here, to the shop on Karangahape Road. The service is friendly and vibrant like they're happy to be doing what they do. The pies and cakes look delicious, but I ate donuts. Maple & Bacon, and glazed, frosted with sprinkles. Will definitely be back.
It has always been a mandatory tradition to seek dessert after dinner which led us to the pie piper. First of all, this place was incredibly hard to find!
Once we finally found this place, we were greeted kindly by the lovely girl at the counter. My friend ordered the Black Forest cake/pie and the mini smore pie. I ordered the peanut butter mini pie. The Black Forest cake was definitely unique and had generous pieces of cherry inside. There was also alcohol in the pie! The peanut butter mini pie was average but the smore pie was AMAZING! I could have eaten 10. Definitely try it out.
These pies are what I dream about. Crisp pastry, velvety creamy fillings, zingy fruit conserves, it's happiness on a plate.
You need to stop what you're doing and go try some right now.
I can't say which one is the best but if I must the salted caramel apple pie...swoon
I have never been here before but a friend of mine strongly suggested that I look into this place. The place was really bubbly amazing service and I really loved the environment. The pastry is really tasty n soft. chocolate pie n lemon meringue was jus wowww.It was the best I've ever had.I absolutely adore this place :-)
Love these girls, and the pies are SO tasty. It's hard to find good Southern style pie in Auckland and being from the states, they absolutely nail it.
I've tried the apple and rose water pie, triple layer pumpkin pie, chocolate pie, and lemon meringue pie and all of them are just mouthwatering.
The pastry is always flaky and soft, perfectly cooked. The fillings are sweet but not TOO sweet which is great. I find that the pies actually contain what you are ordering... there are a few places I have recently tried a cherry pie which was actually mostly filled with apple and a massive let down.
Keep up the PIE AND HAPPINESS LADIES
Stunning pies! The lime pie is to die for! Would recommend this as the special treat for any gathering! Beautiful presentation! Best thing is the delivery service they offer!
I'd been told about the Pie Piper...I'd seen them on Instagram...my expectations were high. Very high!
Hands down the best lemon meringue pie I've ever had. Light crust. Tangy curd. Perfectly peaked and soft meringue.
This place is a recipe for me getting fat :)
Absolutely amazing service which was super friendly, even though it was busy. I ordered a chocolate pie, a smores cake thing (terminology is on point) and a cinnamon marshmallow bun. Everything was delicious but I loved the chocolate pie the best.
They have the awesome and delish pies Ever! Love the chocolate smore my best so far then the lime pie mm mm mm... Thank you ladies, yous rock!
Fantastic!!! What an awesome idea, because everybody loves pie right? These ladies are truly cool and hip and the pies are delish. What more can I say? Between the 3 of us, we tried the Pumpkin pie, Rocky Road pie and Nutella pie and decided they were all pretty amazing, it was a real task though, trying to decide on which slices to buy. Really looking forward to returning.

For everyone with a sweet tooth! Lovely pies and cakes and doughnuts of all descriptions. Served by friendly staff and with tons of options to choose. Some say these are the best (sweet) pies in the city. The cheesecake is brilliant too.
Beware the sugar induced comma! ;)

I'm thinking this is the American Dream where they talk about all the pies. It would take me a month to try everything but from just looking, these look fantastic. I tried the mini pie, Rocky road it was great, nice rich flavour, loved it. Looks like they do catering options so it'd be great for birthdays etc
Best place to quench your sweet tooth!!!
Unbelievably delicious pies, perfect doughnuts, and particularly tasty cinnamon rolls.
Staff is polite and welcoming. You feel as if you were in your granny’s. Love it!
You can get pies for events and you won’t be disappointed. They will be the success of the party.
The place is small, but there is a great feel to it.
The coffee if free refill, just like in America.
the modern day K Toad vibe mixed with American pies and cuisine. The pies look incredible and the donuts and baking looks divine.
We ordered a mixture of pastries and coffees as it was too early for sweet decadence.
The coffee making was not speedy.
The service was friendly.
There were a couple of Uber eats orders going out.
I can report the food was fine, fresh and delicious.
The reason I made it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the restaurant seating was not ideal, it was noisy as they are baking there. The music also didn’t suit the theme of the place.
Living overseas, I had donuts delivered as a gift for a loved one. Feedback was that all the flavours sent were "SOO good and intricate"! My 5 star review also comes from the fact that a staff member directly emailed me to thank me for my purchase. Customer service is above amazing despite times being really weird right now. Delightful donuts + service! Can't wait to try these myself once borders open up!

TL:DR - Pie Piper is absolutely amazing, even when things don't always go to plan.
Story time, fam.
I have been a long-time fanatic of ALL of the Pie Piper's offerings: their chicken and waffles (and American-style biscuits) speak to my Southern Soul food spirit. I was gifted a rainbow birthday cake this year, and their pies completed my Thanksgiving feast last year ( If I love you, I'm probably gonna gift you a pie or doughnut).
Consistently amazing food and service, so I sought to recreate last year's memories and make the best out of lockdown during Thanksgiving.
Ordered their pies and other specials, so was expecting 2 pies and a (surprise secret) mini pie for partner.
Driving from West Auckland to Eastridge, awaiting me was a beautifully wrapped trio of boxes, tied with signature red ribbon.
Upon return, I was reminded I had ordered extra pastries (because, of course!) and so...1 pie, 1 mini pie, 1 box of pastries. Missing a pie. My own dumb fault for not checking/ and forgetting I ordered other stuff. Panic ensues because my partner is unable to drive out again from home. I would be stuck at home all day the following day solo-ing the entire Thanksgiving feast...everyone also working from home.
I rung, and A ngel (I think?) helped me sort everything, from talking with her managers (after hours, too!), and then confirming with me that they would correct the error and get my pie out to me the very next day.
They saved my Thanksgiving. For their superlative products and customer service, they have a life-long promoter in me and my family.
Great doughnuts, just the right hint of yeast in the dough. They were so kind when we asked if they had cinnamon scrolls which I saw earlier that week, they said they didn't. Later we had one of the staff come out with one on the house! Fresh out of the oven. Great place for a treat
Wasn’t super impressed by the donuts, but they certainly were not bad. Flavors are interesting, but the donut itself was a little dry and the banana cream was very artificial tasting. Staff was very friendly and they offer bottomless filter coffee, a hard treat to come by in New Zealand. The cheesecakes looked really nice, although we did not try them. Pricing is pretty expensive ($5/donut). Prolly won’t visit this place regularly, but not upset that I went.
Wonderful pies, cakes and donuts.
The staff is very friendly and helpful too. No matter how many questions you will ask in order to make a choice between the selection of delicious looking pastries, they do not get annoyed and will answer any questions with a smile.
Love the free dog treats too :)
Usually generous portions, partner really likes the banoffee pie. Has had it multiple times. Cheesecakes are super nice too!
Wonderful staff and all the pies and cakes up front makes you drool. However, the chocolate cake I’ve ordered was ... disappointing. It was on a dry side (maybe because it was sitting there for too long), the icing just tasted like fondant. It wasn’t a dense cake or a light fluffy cake, just average tasting. I’ll probably come back for the other dessert, but a slice for $12.5 was honestly not worth it.
They don't just sell food, they sell art. Only tried the lemon meringue donut but by goodness did it taste good. The pies also looked amazing! I can't wait to try each one!
Took to slice of cake. Very light and yummy. And 1 big square donut honey sea salt. Good price. Friendly staff
AMAZING DONUTS!! The peanut butter Oreo is definitely my favourite! They have so many different flavours to choose from and they all look and taste amazing! They have everything from your classic chocolate sprinkle donut to more obscure and funky ones like s’mores. AMAZING PIES!! Their cherry is my favourite but I also love their pecan and Nutella pies, so good! A little pricy but definitely worth it for the quality.
We had been meaning to try this place for a while, we came for the vegan doughnuts and we're not disappointed. A great selection easy to choose. We also enjoyed bottomless Atomic coffee. Well definitely be back and have ordered a box for delivery for a party next week.
Walked pass the shop after visiting another store up the street and was drawn into the shop by how busy it was.
Turns out they were doing a Halloween promo whereby kids can get a face paint and decorate their own donut for $10.
Staff were all really friendly and helpful and my child had an awesome experience and they were also very generous with the toppings for the donut.
Had a bite of the donut when home and it was very good. The Pie Piper also offers a variety of pies (obviously based on the name) and they looked very nice. We were just abit too full to try more as have already dessert for the day....
The place also offer Atomic coffee which means the quality of coffee should be good.
Will come back 1 day to try their other food options and a coffee.
