I don’t usually do reviews but this place was so great I just had to! Friendly and prompt service, fantastic coffee, amazing food! It’s become my favourite place to go in Auckland. The meals were so large both of us had to take some home for later!

Various photos from multiple visits: If it’s on the menu... it’s good! This is our local so you can imagine how many times we have been and not once have they failed us! Portions are big, prices are fair, food always comes out hot and service is 5 star! Only once have I ever had to wait longer than usual, even then, it’s worth the wait!

Decent cafe with good food and service, we ordered eggs benedict with salmon and avocado, ormiston club sandwich, Thai beef salad and some drinks. The beef in the Thai beef salad was a bit too salty though.
Food was good! We ordered the pancakes, chicken burger, Nutella hot chocolate and soda. The Nutella hot chocolate is definitely interesting and you’ll like it if you like the nutty taste. Service was quite lovely even though it was busy and there was some confusion about our seating.
Only downside was that we weren’t allowed to use our Zomato gold voucher here because it was father’s day.
Would definitely come back to try other food on the menu.
I'm happy to give a 4.5 for this. Very good cafe with great customer service. Eggs bene with salmon was delicious and so was the thai beef salad. Only downside was our bowl of wedges was a bit expensive for $15 and serving size a tad smaller than other cafes around. Overall a decent cafe so will come back again.

I was on way to go Miranda hot spring, and stop by here to have brunch. Looks quite new interior and kind staffs, especially I was satisfied that they asked me the feedback. That made me feel they care about customer’s opinion even after paid. All the food(scone, brunch) was nice as well, but coffee was just a average. I want to go there again when I have a chance to pass by. :)
One of the cafes that has the best atmosphere. beautiful Decoration, quiet and calm vibe. The food is excellent. I tried egg Benedict and chicken waffle, my bf have vege burger. This is the place that offers the best carrot cake! Proper carrot cake icing and loads of goodies on top! I love the walnut bits that go with the cake. Staff are friendly and helpful. It was the second time I patron. Nice presentation of food. It worths the more than 15 minutes drive to pay a visit to fill my hungry tummy.

We have came here a few times and tried different items on their menu. Food came reasonably fast and tasted good too. Definitely good value when they offered 1+1 on food with Zomato Gold. Such a shame that they have changed to offer 2+2 on drinks now. I might consider coming back if they offer 1+1 on food again.

Came here for a Saturday lunch with my family. Straight away greeted by the door and was seated, followed by menus and offering of water. Have to say J and I were super impressed with the service as this makes such a difference to your meal experience. The staff were so lovely and friendly, the boss even came over to say Happy Birthday to J because he heard it was his birthday. With surprise, a staff member came out with a piece of cake for J.
Our family ordered a range of drinks including flat whites, chai lattes and a strawberry milkshake. All were delicious.
Food was great as well, ordering a Thai Beef Salad, lamb burger and a Open steak sandwich! Absolutely love the Thai beef salad here! So tasty and steak is cooked well. J ordered the Lamb burger because he was curious on the Homemade lamb patty. Great taste however needed a bit more sauce to it.
Overall we had a very enjoyable meal and would definitely come back due to the amazing service and atmosphere! Thank you so much Ormiston Cafe for a lovely experience, while making J feel special on his birthday!

At first the chicken was overcooked and hard to cut or chew. It is understandable as they were quite busy at that moment. The owner or shop manager saw me having trouble with the overcooked fried chicken and quickly came checking and offered another 2 pieces of chicken. The replacement came pretty fast and was perfectly fried. Loved the chicken and sauce, waffle a bit plain. Salmon was great!
This cafe is one of my favourites! Food is absolutely amazing, and all of the staff are so kind and hard working! I would recommend this cafe :)

Great local cafe a real gem for the Ormiston area the staff are extremely friendly and helpful nice bright modern interior. We both decided on a breakfast option even though it was later in the morning the Ormiston Brekky Board and Eggs Bene/Bacon both servings were generous in size and nicely presented food was hot and delicious. Coffee was excellent perfectly extracted and just at the temperature I like. Well done Team Ormiston Cafe top marks see you all next time.

I didn't give 5-star because of the quality of the food. The food was very nice, but more like a homemade big breakfast. The hashbrown and sausages seem like from the supermarket. In a nice cafe, you kinda expect something nicer than this. But as I said, the portion was huge, very filling big breakfast. It's still a nice cafe to visit.
We would be back to try some other items from the menu. Overall recommended.

Lots of great things to say about this cafe:
- lovely atmosphere, it’s nice and bright inside and chairs are comfy.
- they have delicious looking cabinet food! I have not tried it yet but would definitely have some next time.

We ordered the avo smash with a side of hash brows, the club sandwich and a matcha latte.
Avo smash portion is medium sized - if you have a big appetite or usually eat big portions, definitely add on some sides.
Club sandwich comes with a side of fries. The chicken is tender which I was super happy about and the ingredients look fresh. It’s not too greasy or dry.
Matcha latte was so so. Froth was nice and creamy. Some of the sugar was not stirred in properly so you could still see granules and the matcha was not stirred in properly so you’d get clumps of it while you drink.
Overall I had a great experience! 5/5 would come back!

Went here for brunch on a sunday. It was quite busy on a sunday, and we was just looked at, at first, but then we we were seated in 2 mins. I was impressed with the presentations of the food, and how the drinks were presented. The food was good aswell. We ordered fries, the house breaky and the 3 egg omelete with your choice of selection for toppings, and was very filling. Although service was quite slow, it was understandable since it was busy when we came. The atmosphere was nice too and staffs would occasionally come to you and check how your meals were going. Would come here again👏🏻

We ordered the House Breaky, ALT, Iced Mocha (no cream and ice cream) and Soy Flat White. I had the ALT, which was beautiful - simple and delicious (5/5). Ciabatta was soft and tasted very fresh. The fillings very also very tasty and had the right ratio of cos lettuce, tomato, caesar dressing and avocado. Fries on the side were well seasoned. Great coffees too (5/5).
The customer service there was deffs on point. The staff greeted us, asked how our food was and whether we needed anything else. Every single staff were ALL so friendly and welcoming.
We will deffs be back and would recommend this Cafe to everyone. They also have Zomato Gold too ;)

So I’ve been thinking about this place for a while then today I decided to try to give it a go.
Must say the soup of the day is pretty delicious and looks great from the beginning.
Also, the coffee I tried here is Mocha , pretty good more than I expected with a cool letter and I really like the design of this. To be honest, not many coffee shop can give you a cool coffee cup like this cause it takes time for every single customers. So I really like the way the treat their customers .
Staff are friendly and care about how you feel after you try the food and coffee, which is I hardly see from another regular coffee shop .

Big Breakfast is good, just wished that they will serve butter a different way as theirs is served in wax paper and because of the heat from the bread, the butter melted and got everywhere as I was trying to unwrap it.

Our first time there was great we had a go at the freak SHAKE...that was really awsome pancakes was amazing with the fruits and syrup eggs Benedict was yumm we think with a hint of chocolate sauce. All thses dishes were extra yum

The Eggs Bene is a classic style with hollandaise sauce and a nice soft bacon on top of a muffin. Only complaint about this was the egg was a bit too cooked, the yolk wasn’t runny but still very soft.
Omelette could have had a bit more seasoning in it, i did have to add quite a bit of salt to add some taste to it, not my favourite.
The chips and salt and pepper squid was great!! chips were crispy and fresh.

Because of Zomato Gold, we tried this cafe. Nice ambiance upon entering the cafe. Very courteous staff members. We love their food and frappe drinks. One thing noted was that I ordered for Open Steak Sandwich but the one who served my food forgot to give me a steak knife. Another staff noticed that and without me asking, he provided a steak knife and apologised as well. Very much appreciated. I think he is the manager or owner. Overall, we would be back to Ormiston Cafe to try more from their menu. It is just beside Pak N Save Ormiston.
Really nice atmosphere, staff were friendly and accommodating, unfortunately they ran out of fresh tuna but were happy to change the menu a bit to fit our needs. Food was great, some really tasty stuff and the soba noodles was by far my favourite!
I don't leave reviews often but this local gem definitely deserves a 5 star review. We've been coming here for awhile and every single time the service from the staff have been amazing. We've been served by different members of their team and every one of them have always been super accommodating and attentive. It's just a delight to dine here. The food is delicious with generous portions and we've never had to wait long for our meals. The food and the amazing service is definitely what keeps bringing us back!
A stylish, modern and cute cafe with great coffee. My partner and I got the creamy mushroom and big breakfast which were more than filling for the both of us. We struggled to finish the food even though they were tasty. The creamy mushroom was certainly creamy and rich but paired well with the ciabatta. Mocha was also good. Will be back, especially with Zomato gold.

Came out with my colleagues for lunch today, the yummiest matcha latte I’ve ever had, the milk foam is so smooth and creamy! The egg bene I had is wonderful, the egg was cooked perfectly, the bread is a bit crispy, combine with the soft egg is just amazing! My colleague’s burger she said is yum as well. I will be back to try the rest of their menus! The staff are friendly as well! Food was served pretty quick, great experience for our workday lunch.

Nice local cafe tucked behind Pak n Save Ormiston. I had always wanted to visit but always ended up going to other ‘famous’ brunch locations. Becoming a Zomato Gold member gave me the perfect excuse to finally try the place out. Cute, clean ambience was the first impression. A lot of choices available on the drinks menu such as Beetroot latte (will try next time) but I stuck with my go-to Americano.
I ordered a Big Breakfast and my partner ordered the open steak sandwich. Big breakfast was what you’d usually expect. Nothing special about the flavour but the portion size was massive! My partner’s steak sandwich however was delicious! The steak was actually cooked to perfection- it wasn’t tough and they didn’t use the cheap steak. The chips that came with the open steak sandwich was also a little extra. They not only seasoned their chips with the standard salt, but it tasted almost like the peri chips with that extra flavour and seasoning. I can’t wait to try their creamy mushroom in my next visit.

All the dishes I've had are excellent and I've tried their iced chocolate too which is divine. It's rare that for $6 you get a scoop of ice cream and whipped cream too!

Definitely need to try their coffee. I was surprised with their larger size white coffee, as coffee flavour will have mellowed out/diluted extra milk. But this makes a good cuppa with the good punch of coffee taste.

Seatings are quite appropriately spaced out, so I didn’t feel it’s crowded even with a lot of people enjoying the food and a cuppa.
Ordered a hot chocolate with almond milk and smashed avo and feta on sourdough with added bacon. The hot chocolate was tasty and almond milk had a great nutty flavour which I love. Meal was delicious and all produce used was very fresh. Thanks for the great experience, we will definitely be back.

Came in today for a vegetarian lunch with mom. We ordered a banana milkshake, baby kale salad and 3 egg omelette. The banana milkshake tasted like it was just banana mixed with vanilla ice cream. I liked it but my mom didn't. The staff saw our name on the Zomato gold screen and wrote our name in chocolate sauce on top of the plate where the banana milkshake was served on. It was super surprising and sweet of them. The baby kale salad was packed with vegetables. The sauce was really good. It was quite different to most salad sauces I've tasted at different cafes. It was kind of sour and I liked it. The three egg omelette was delicious. One of the best omelettes I've tried. It had mushroom, capsicum and spinach inside. The sourdough toast that it was served with was nice and crunchy.
Cosy cafe tucked away next to Pak-n-Safe. The food was flavoursome and the service quick and accurate. I will recommend this cafe to anyone but unfortunately there is nothing that differentiates it from the other 100 000 cafe's around auckland. I live in Flat Bush and now that I know about this cafe I will probably become a regular (because of convenience more than anything else).
Came here on a Sunday morning with my mum and it was nice! We got a peanut butter freakshake, an iced coffee and eggs on toast. The iced coffee was okay but the freakshake was good and really filling. The sourdough bread was warm and had the right amount of crunch so it felt fresh. Staff were friendly as well. Overall a nice place, will come back to try some other dishes.

Popped in for lunch and was impressed with the service. Staff were very welcoming and greeted us as soon as we arrived. Within seconds were at our table with menus and water. Food came out at a reasonable time and both eggs Benedict’s were enjoyed. Highlight for me would have to be the hot chocolate was perfect 👌🏼 ☕️

The menu is varied with all the usual options. I ordered the Avo on toast - it was nice, but not the best I’ve had as it was really more like guacamole with tomato & onion in it. Avo should be on its own. The added bacon was a generous serve & cooked perfectly. Coffee again generous & well made.
Ormiston Cafe is a new eatery which opens early & closes at 4 pm & located at the rear end of Pak'n'Save. Both beef burger on a brioche bun & crumbled squid were good. Wait staff was friendly & cheerful. Coffees could have been hotter; especial the "bullet-proof" - a blend of coffee with coconut oil, which cools down a bit after the blend.

Knowing Sanjay from when he used to own The Coffee Club Meadowlands, I had high expectations set for Ormiston Cafè.
Their coffee is incredible as per usual, and the food is well worth the price for the amount that you get. I can’t quite recall the name of their big breakfast, but it was HUGE!
Last but not least, the staff are always friendly and a delight to chat with. Ormiston cafè has become a Saturday morning ritual for myself and the bf!
It's great to have a new cafe open in the neighborhood! The cafe decor is great, well set out, modern and inviting. We were greeted promptly upon arriving and given menus so we could take a seat and order.
I had the an omelette and a hot chocolate and my partner had eggs bene and a juice. I really liked my omelette, light and fluffy and there was a lot of filling. My only negative for this was the dressing that was on the salad gotten into my eggs and was not edible after that. My hot chocolate was super hot just the way I like it.
I will definitely be back!
Came here in the first month of opening. It's nice to have another decent cafe in South (East) Auckland to add to the rotation! Coffee was good and the staff were attentive, although clearly still inexperienced/a bit nervous - probably didn't need to offer me tomato sauce to go with my eggs bene. The menu has a lot of classics and is reasonably priced, and the cabinet food looked tasty. I'm looking forward to coming back with my partner one weekend.
Second time visiting, both times the service was great and attentive, water was offered and food came swiftly, beverages arrived hot ( as I like it), my husband ordered the chicken and waffles as well as a club sandwich, the chicken was tender and cooked perfectly, I enjoyed the smash avo open sandwich with salmon. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Absolutely loved this, went there for a birthday brunch and the minute they found out it was her birthday they brought out this. Not only is their food a 10/10 their portion sizes are immaculate AND customer service is awesome! However that freak shake is a challenge if you don’t have the sweet tooth for it, still delicious nonetheless. Zero complaints here !!!

We got here 20 minutes before closing time, and the staff advised us on entry that the kitchen will be closing, should we want to order food to do so before 2:30.
We placed our orders and recieved a great presented platter and the atmosphere was good, though they were eager to finish they continued to serve great food with a plesent attitude.
When ever we come here the staff are great.

Had brunch here with my Dad, the staff were so lovely and the food was wonderful; I enjoyed a lovely homemade veggie burger. Very calm atmosphere, would definitely recommend!!
I highly recommend this Cafe. Customer service was remarkable. Very polite and helpful. I unfortunately did not get the name of the person at front counter but is etiquettes was commendable. I had my elderly parents with me and he made sure they were comfortable. I will highly recommend the warm dumpling soup. It was full of flavour and the portion was generous. We did not have to wait long for our meals. Please do visit if you are in the area.
Friendly staff, clean and tidy place. I had pancake gurnished beautifully and tatse delicious. But the icecream on top was straberry which did not taste good ( it is not my fav as i believe it taste like medicine),probably vanila icecream could be a better choice. Hope they could keep the place always clean and tidy.
I was on way to go Miranda hot spring, and stop by here to have brunch. Looks quite new interior and kind staffs, especially I was satisfied that they asked me the feedback. That made me feel they care about customer’s opinion even after paid. All the food(scone, brunch) was nice as well, but coffee was just a average. I want to go there again when I have a chance to pass by. :)
I came across this place on grabone as there are $40 vouchers for only $25, what a bargain! Such a lovely café which is bright, fresh and spacious. The staff were absolutely brilliant and provided fantastic customer service. They were very friendly and attentive, making sure that we were happy and had everything we needed. The food was delicious and flavourful and very generous servings. The coffee was hot and creamy and made perfectly, even asking if I wanted the coffee extra strong or regular (which I've never been asked!) I do love a strong coffee, so made the most of that opportunity. Definitely recommend this fantastic Cafe to anyone who loves great food and appreciates bubbly and polite staff!
Pretty cool cafe, hidden behind PaknSave. Food were delicious and flavorful. Freakshake was delightful. The aioli sauce was incredible! Very garlic-y. I loved it!
I wanna go back again to try their beetroot latte cos that beetroot in the beef burger was nice.
Loved the service. Very friendly staff. Ambience was great inside, even though I thought from the outside it looked gloomy. I was mistaken.

We have stopped here a few times when cycling in the area. Have only had coffee and scones but they have always been really good. Staff are friendly and they are very accommodating if you are with a bunch of cyclists. There is outdoor seating if the weather is good.
I don't leave reviews often but this local gem definitely deserves a 5 star review. We've been coming here for awhile and every single time the service from the staff have been amazing. We've been served by different members of their team and every one of them have always been super accommodating and attentive. It's just a delight to dine here. The food is delicious with generous portions and we've never had to wait long for our meals. The food and the amazing service is definitely what keeps bringing us back!
