Lots of yummy food choices. An open dining concept that is not weather dependent. Well thought out design. If I had to find a flaw it would be not enough large communal tables for groups. Another great reason to meet friends and enjoy our fabulous city vibe.
Great new destination for dining in Auckland. Had a delicious lunch at Dante’s, great service and lovely staff too. Dumplings and pork buns at Panda got gobbled up by my 8 year old so didn’t get to try one of those but got the thumbs up from her!
Being a vegetarian I was confused about what to order, but the friendly staff gave us all the options, and explained the menu very well in a very friendly manner. The food was amazing and I highly recommend visiting Dante’s Pizzeria if you are wanting to have Italian.
Finally managed to make it to Dantes after years of hearing about it. This particular one is located in queens rise in the heart of the cbd. Queens rise itself boasts a few decent restaurants and has a open dining area which is good as that pizza oven puts of some heat.
Starter was the arancini and its amazing. i felt it was under seasoned but thats better than over. Salt and pepper are there for that anyway. The ragu and mozzarella were a great base in this dish.
My main was the quattro formaggi pizza. The gorgonzola really complements the smoky wood fire base. A really well done pizza.
Staff were very friendly and clearing plates as i went along.
Reasonably priced for lunch! The papperdelle was fresh made and sauce delicious. The pizza had a thin sourdough crust and flavours were delicious. Highly recommend for good Italian food

Had pasta for the first time in a super long time, not normally a pasta person to be completely honest but my friend really wanted it for lunch. We decided to go to Dante’s in Queens Rise and holy smokes it was delicious!!
I ordered the shrimps and vodka pasta and it has to be the best pasta I’ve had in ages, I loved the creamy sauce, the bite of the pasta and the meatiness of the shrimp/prawn! I really appreciated that they also removed all the shells from it too! For $18 I had a really delicious meal and it was the perfect portion size too. Great spot in Queens rise to grab lunch!
Lovely little Italian eatery that forms part of Queen's Rise. Comfortable setting with elegant red leather sofas inside was a big bonus! The staff were so friendly and warm to us and the service was great. The Chef Federico made amazing pizzas! Our Conprosciutto was so tasty and delicious as you can see from the photos. The Salmon and Avocado Fettuccine was too oily for my liking, while the Simple Baked Lasagne was too cheesy and rich for my work colleague. All in all we had a great time and would recommend this place for Italian food lovers. I'd rate this place 4.5/5 😋😋😋
Good service and good food. Busy but get the service done satisfactory. Can recommend for a casual eat without hesitation. Would be nice if the noise is low
Not bad at all. Pizzas and pastas done right. Very satisfying although not the place to eat if you are a diet. Service can be hit or miss but overall a good choice for carbs loading in the CBD. Good value for lunch, not for dinner.
came in at lunch time with friends, it was busy, but we managed to grab a table just outside the shop, staff came and introduced the menu fairly quickly, service was good. I ordered a Bufalina pizza in medium sized which tasted delicious, although it’s fulfilling, it’s still quite pricey.
Very excited to have Queen’s rose open up with a good place for some Italian!
Dined here for lunch and staff were friendly and attentive.
Ordered for an entree rock melon wrapped in Prosciutto which looked and tasted very interesting! I really enjoying it, the prosciutto is a very unexpected but delightful pairing with rock melon!
Pasta we ordered the tagliatelle shrimp and vodka x2 which was a very good pasta dish, I’m a lover of tomato based sauces and this was well done. The other was spaghetti puttanesca, a little too basic for my likely but still good. Pasta was al dente!
Great atmosphere along with great food, this is one of the better Dante’s I have visited and I will be back for more when I’m in the area. Highly recommended!
Very happy that Dante's came to Queen's Rise. Personally do not enjoy Queen's Rise that much not my favorite ambiance. But Dante's is just the place to go for a fulfilling plate of fresh pasta. And afternoons after lunch hours is a great time to go because people tend to clear out and you get a more pleasant surroundings and more space to yourself.
We ordered 1 pizza and an entree to share. Loved the pizza dough - very light and had a nice texture. As I found the food a bit on the pricey side, I expected to get more meat. Entree was a generous portion. Overall, the food tasted great!
Came during midday just before peak time, so service was very fast.
I ordered the Tagliatelle Shrimps and Vodka and was very pleased with the generous amounts of prawn, the wonderful texture of the pasta and the refreshing flavours of the sauce. Every element of the dish complemented each other perfectly.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
Awesome food with prices so dear the place is good for professional meetings may be most of the people doesn’t know about the queens rise food court need to advertise
I've tried their Lasagna, and Rocket & Prosciutto salad. I was surprised that the lasagna was served in a bowl, but it tasted just as good as any other lasagna. The salad was great, generous portion of prosciutto, greens and mozzarella - I couldn't get my hands off this.
We asked to sit on a table a bit further away from the restaurant, where it was less crowded. Bear in mind that you have to pay in advance if you do this which was totally understandable. Anyway even when we were seated a bit further away the waitress was still attentive and came to refill our water frequently.
From the flour and cheeses sourced from Italy to the wood fired ovens they use, Dante's Pizzeria is as authentic a Neapolitan style pizza as you can get in NZ outside Naples itself. The interior is adorned with various common Italian condiments and the wood fired oven full view. The cooks making the food are in full view and you can clearly see how the food is prepared and even the pizzas cooking away in the oven which I really appreciate. I visited the newly opened branch in the Queen's Rise food alley in Auckland CBD and was keen to try something I've never tried before.
The first time I came I had their classic Margherita Pizza and was really impressed by the quality and taste of the dish. The sauce and cheese combo is simple but so delicious and the dough is soft, light and nicely seasoned. The pizza itself is pretty big but I happily devoured the whole pie to myself as it was that good. Even though the toppings are fairly simple, the ingredients are very high quality and that always shows through simple dishes like this.
The 2nd time I brought my parents along since I was so impressed from my first visit so we shared a Carne pizza and some squid rings. The squid rings were good which had a nice batter accompanied by some Aioli. The Carne pizza topped with some prosciutto and rocket was also really flavourful.
For my 3rd visit I tried a Prosciutto Panouzzi which is a Napoli street sub and that was delicious. If you're a fan of their pizza dough then you'll also probably like this since the dough they use for the bread is the same as their pizza dough.
Not making any comparisons to other Neapolitan style pizzerias in Auckland since this is the first one I've been to but Dante's has definitely piqued my interest in trying out more pizzerias like this. The staff are friendly and attentive and your food arrives not long after your order. Although their food isn't the cheapest for a broke student like me, I'll definitely be back to explore more of their menu.
We dined at Dantes in Queens Rise to sample the best of Neopilitana cuisine and tried the pannouzi vegetariana (vegetarian Napoli street sub) with a glass of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo and I absolutely loved my dish as well as a vegetarian pizza and tiramisu.
Food arrived within 10 minutes and was exquisite. The dessert was very memorable too.
Came here for dinner and was not disappointed. Sourdough base was perfect and thin sauce was on point and all the toppings felt fresh. The staff were helpful but not invasive and the decor and ambience oozed class. P.s. the dunnies(toilets) nearby are also very nice.
Fantastic place hidden in the heart of Auckland. Staff and service was great. The Chef Federico made amazing pizzas!
BEST PIZZA in New Zealand!!! This is how real pizza tastes! Try, you won’t regret! And you will thank me for the free advice 😉
Food was delicious! Portion size little small for the price but overall lovely place and great ambiance 👍
Had the carne pizza for the main and profiteroles for dessert, highly recommend this restaurant to all. The service was quick and the food was very good, would definitely come again.
Excellent service, even when it is really busy, beautiful food and great ambience: 10/10! 😊🙌🏻
This is the BEST Italian restaurant in Auckland. They specialise in wood fired pizzas and the "Carne" is the best! Honestly, all the ingredients are super fresh, even the tomatoes which are all heirloom and everything is handmade. All the pasta dishes are incredible too and this location is in the CBD so excellent for in down dining. The owners and service are impeccable too. Great value for money with nice portions. Check it out you will be impressed and delighted.
Italian food and wine are delicious. But the main point is the service : Salvatore, Guiseppe and the others make you feel at home. They joke with you, propose to test wine or food you don't know, do special attention for you ! It's just awesome.
Delicious dinner 100% Italian made, word of an Italian!
Federico e Salvatore absolutely fantastic, made us feel welcome and prepared marvelous pizza and pasta for me, my girlfriend and her family. They really make the difference!
We ordered 1 pasta, 1 pizza, and the nutella dessert. All were delicious! Staff were friendly and attentive plus the mocktail was refreshing. We'll be back again sometime!
Great fresh napoli style wood fired pizza. Get a seat with a view of the pizza oven and see all the action!
I’ve been here on a Friday lunch and had a classic Regina Margherita and it was delicious best pizza in Auckland
never one to post but the waitresses were so lovely, the ambience was top notch and the food was out the gate. so good
Absolutely the best pizza I have had in Auckland! Will be back. Thank you !
