Seriously the best Indian food ever!!! Always packed with flavour, the presentation is so good!! They are so passionate about their cooking! I’ve been to India and could never get flavour like that here in Nz until I tried their food!!! Must try
One of the best Indian food I ever had in Auckland! I ordered the fish curry, it came with so many different components and flavors. The fish was freshly cook, curry was nice and rich, with the pickles and rice it was amazing~~I also ordered a mango drink, it balance out the curry after taste, it was just wonderful! Highly recommend, I will try the chicken next time👍👍
super friendly staff with excellent customer service. Great food, im very pleased with the cost and the amount of food given for bucks. i also love their design.
Exceptional food!! Super tasty and great value. They update their menu items regularly with awesome new street food options. Service is impeccable
This is one of the new restaurants in the Eatery at Eastridge located near the back. Not a lot of table space but they do have a counter that overlooks the kitchen. They had a menu stuck on the wall by the counter as well as a pin board. They had the G tiffin of the day so I tried that.
The tiffin was quite colourful, three layers with three different items. The top layer had a cucumber salad. The Madras fish curry was in the second and rice in the third. The portion was decent and the flavour really good. It was spicy though so it may not suit everyone. The mango lassi was refreshing alongside it.
As I was overlooking the kitchen I could watch all the dishes go out. The kati rolls looked tasty but also quite small. Service was friendly. You order at the counter and they bring out the food once it's ready.
Took my mum over to Royal-G to have a taste of something different. She agrees that it’s not my mum’s Indian... it’s better. Loved Mr Singh’s Dry Spiced Fish Kati Roll and the Pakistani Lamb K’bob. The highlight for me, though, was the Blood Plum and Fennel Lassi. I’m not a fan of sweet lassis so the citrus-y, sour and savoury notes hit the spot just right. I loved the meal and the creativity put into it. Would definitely recommend.
Love this place. It was like an oasis since the lack of “different” indian food in Auckland. Only tried it once so can’t say it’s the best, but potential best - could compete with Satya in my opinion.(I understand the difference in their settings and size if the menu, but for the flavours and creativity) Will definitely back to try more. Keep up the good work! Thanks for the great food.
I have been generous with the star rating, as to be honest, they are putting a lot of effort into the place.
We had a lamb kathi roll - the flavours were great. And they are right this is not your moms Indian - so its not a real Kathi roll.. Not what I expected but not dissapppointed.
What dissappointed us is the Iced Date chai.
Terrible drink - Needs to get out of the menu - with or without the milk.
Our friends had the lassi - which was ordinary, food took way longer than anticipated.
Overall an ok experience. But very good effort. .4 stars for that.
Loving this cool spot for their contemporary Indian food. They are different from the general Indian restaurant I’ve experienced in Auckland. I’ve tried their yesterday’s lamb and curry of the day. Loved the layer of flavour in their dishes.
Had the yesterdays curry lamb Kati roll. My husband had the pork one. Both were delicious. Loads of spice. So great to have a place like this in the neighborhood.
Royal G has a interesting spin on Indian food, it's is not your typical curry on rice. One item was presented in a bag of string crisps which we had to stir and mix up. The staff are friendly and provide good service.
I would not say the food flavours did not quite hit my expectations and was a bit spicy for myself and my partner however the presentation was nice and it is a lovely place to eat.
I'd definitely rate this place. Our servers did a great job helping out with the menu which is nice and concise. Sometimes the spice is nice and this was one of these times 🔥👍

We have visited this eatery quite a bit but our first time to sit down here.
The staff were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Decadent portions sizes, food was delicious. I reccomend the yesterday lamb curry.
Highly recommend coming here, we'll definitely be back again to try other things off there menu.
This is so cool ,the food is outstanding. The chaat from the pocket is yummy and just remains me of my childhood how I used to mix up things and eat, but i promise this is a better version....
Great place to eat! We sat and watched them cook and prepare our meal at the bar. The food was delicious, we had the ceviche, salad and yesterdays lamb kati roll. Great staff and a passionate chef who told us about the dishes. We will be back for sure, it's awesome to have such a great new local eatery!
My favourite local eatery ang hidden gem! The food is delicious and so beautifully presented it's almost as much joy to look at as eat. I'd highly recommend the lamb or spicy fish curry. Everytime I eat there I can't wait to go back.
Great service, friendly staff and the food very good. Different from the indian food you are probably used to! The Kati rolls are great, and the chit chaat in the bag was just delicious and perfectly spicy.
Really liked the fusion food at Royal G. The chit a chaat in a bag was delicious and the lamb, and eggplant kati rolls were excellent. I would highly recommend.
This place is so good, the flavours are amazing and some I’ve never tried before. If you like Indian food but want to try new variation you’ve gotta try this place.
Food here is amazing! Great quality and flavours, can't wait to try everything on the menu.
If you want to enjoy a different menu of excellent quality this is the right place, excellent service. It is worth letting yourself be surprised by this new proposal.
This place is a taste sensation - Indian street food at its best. Try the cheeky fries.
