Best Chocolate Cake I’ve ever had in my life. Once you eat anything from here, you will never buy cake from anywhere else.
Bought this with a GrabOne voucher- Belgium chocolate cake for a birthday cake. Service was good and polite. I was told not to put cake in fridge otherwise it will hardened. The cake was delicious and moist. We absolutely loved it and would recommend this place.

Best cake shop in Auckland! Always an exceptional service, so many cake varieties made with only the best high quality ingredients! My recommendation is their delicious chocolate cake! And their designs are all a work of art mixed with the best flavours!
Came in for dessert after lunch. Lemon meringue tart was real nice. The meringue bit was really soft. The tart base was crumbly and the lemon filling wasn't too sweet.
I'm not a very big fan of dense cake but this place does it very nicely.
Flavor combination with their icing/frosting is perfect!cake are also moist for a dense type of cake which is a bonus.
I purchased my 21st Birthday Cake two years ago - You only turn 21 once so I wanted it to be something special. There are sooo sooo many designs to choose from but I decided on the leopard print because it was a bit different and so detailed and beautiful. The lady who served us, offered us a complementary cake tasting and it was so difficult to choose what flavour I wanted because they were all amazing! My favourite is the passionfruit and white chocolate but I ended up going for the chocolate as It was the safe option. The day of the event, the cake arrived and I was blown away at how detailed it was. All of the leopard prints had been hand painted perfectly. Totally worth the money - my experience was awesome.
Located among mt eden cafes, we always wanted to try this place. We got the two eclaires. They were topped with chocolate and filled with chocolate as well, certainly a treat for chocolate lovers. They are slightly larger than the standard eclaires, the only let down was the pasty which wasnt as fluffy/crispy. But they had many other delicious looking treats! Will be back..
Unfortunately the macaroon lacked that slightly moist, chewy texture, once in your mouth and overall it was dry. However, the shell did have that nice subtle crunch, which was great. Although I didn't have their cupcake, I was told it was delicious and moist!
Grabbed two small and lovely stuff for $ 3.50 each. Taste was good, because both two items contains enough moisture to bring me a good texture. Although, a small size dessert means less sugar and less carbon, but compare with other shops, I think the price was a little higher. Cashier staff was very friendly to me.

This is a sinful place, you would want to buy or try everything when you are in there. Everything is so delectable, beautiful and sweet. The cake that we got is for a friend's birthday. Simple yet elegant, Rich dark chocolate. I don't think you can really go wrong with that!
I came to City Cake Company with my friend for birthday treats. Between us, we shared the petit 4's. We chose 2 salted caramel profiteroles, a cappuccino eclair and a lemon meringue tart. The treats were SO cute. They tasted just as good as they looked. I haven't tried their cakes so I can't really rate them on that but... 5 STARS FOR THEIR INCREDIBLE TINY DESSERTS. These yummy petit desserts are perfect for any occasion.
I'm a fiend for a good cake and Tracy at City Cake Company definitely delivers a good and delicious cake! I had the Chocolate raspberry butter cream layer cake and I can't put down the fork till it was all gone. The cupcakes were super delicious too! Will be back for more!
I got a birthday cake here a while ago, loveky service, incredible cakes (and other treats) available for purchase immediately, they even wrote on the cake while I waited. This will be my go to from now for cakes (and general treats) Very reasonable price too !

We have been ordering from City Cake for years now. Despite never having met, Tracy is always so accommodating and amazing even during this busy holiday period. I’m sure I changed our order at least three times but her reply was always the same “no problem. All done!”. When we gift these cakes to clients we get nothing but positive feedback about how moist and yummy the cakes are. Give them a go, you won’t regret it.
When you're in another country and find out no one got your Mum a birthday cake, and the time zones mean you missed the next day delivery cut-off and would have to wait all weekend to cheer her up... but CITY CAKE TO THE RESCUE! We had a need last week to arrange a gift for one of our clients, we are an Irish company and this needed to be done at short notice.
Even though we are on the other side the world the team at City Cake company were amazing to deal with.
We ordered a lot later than the cut off and added a short note asking for help, amazingly the team had our gift delivered before 11.30 the next morning.

Such lovely people to deal with. We have dealt with the City Cake company for many years ordering cakes for our staff with major birthdays or personally for family celebrations. They are genuinely interested in assisting you to get exactly what you want. Super helpful and always pleasant. As for the cakes! Oh my goodness, they stand alone in quality. They are rich, moist and decadent. The top feedback from staff is that they love the Chocolate with the Belgium frosting but the Banana with caramel is also a hard one to beat. If you have a special occasion, you can't go past these cakes. We have never been disappointed.
Stopped in to pick up a chocolate orange tart and chocolate ganache cupcake to try. The cupcake was flawless - moist, chocolatey and not over sweet. The tart was also perfect with the right amount of crunch in the crust, velvety smooth filling and clean flavours. It was almost a little too sweet, but this is not a criticism so much as a warning to eat from here in moderation!

for my daughter's 30th birthday. I had emailed 5 different cake companies in Auckland and City Cake and only one other replied. I am so happy I chose City Cake Company. Tracy was very prompt and clear in her emails. The cake itself was exquisitely decorated and the flavour of the cake was delicious. I ordered 30 cupcakes from Sydney in all flavours for my engagement party. The cupcakes were delicious and Tracy was a pleasure to engage with. She even added cute hearts on top of each cupcake! Thank you for making these cupcakes so special. Highly recommend and the cupcakes are reasonably priced too!
