The food here is amazing!! The lady behind the counter is lovely and helpful, she always greets us with a smile and gives great advice if your being adventurous in trying something new. I highly recommend this place for your Indian cuisine.
IDK what these other bad reviews are on about but I've been to many Indian restaurants and Bombay Blues straight up has the best curry in Auckland. Best biryani too! Don't trust these entitled Zomato reviewers :b
Friday night takeaways - had Butter Chicken (obviously), Lamb Rogan Josh, Garlic Naan and Cheese & Garlic Naan. Great friendly service on the phone and on collection and food was excellent. Has taken the spot as our go to Indian takeaway.

Lovely lunch Special. Ordered the chicken kebab and was pleased by the quality of the kebab, as well as the nice butter chicken, Cheese and garlic bread which accompanied it. A very good experience! Add this to the best dining view in St. John Region, and it adds up to perfection! Especially recommended for kadhai chicken. Very yummy.waaaowww. Good Customer Service.

This is the only Indian restaurant in our neighborhood and surprisingly it's always been a good experience. Have picked up lunch quite a few times and it's always ready on time. The lunch special is great but we usually just get a curry of our choice because vegetarian options are limited on the specials deal. The veg korma was nice, too sweet for our pallette and so we asked for some extra chilly powder. Too creamy but no complaints.
Kadhai paneer, aloo tikki, paneer makhni, samosa, garlic cheese naan and Mango lassi, everything we've tried until now was fresh and delicious. The whole area smells of curry as pass by and its tempting to say the least
Staff is nice and polite, they could be taught to be friendlier and greet customers with a smile.

Delicious butter chicken, I won't drive across the city to get Paradise anymore. Generous serving too, I get two meals from one takeaway.
Meal in the picture cost $38.50. A bit expensive for my partner & I as we normally just get butter chicken or chicken masala from the mall 😂. But taste wise - pretty good. We’ve eaten here a few times & their rice & naan is alway on point. Butter chicken according to my partner has changed a bit & it isn’t as good as it use to be. Chicken masala is really good with the different veges & flavour & food is always served hot (temperature wise). Eating area is nice & spacey!
I purchased butter chicken and garlic naan from here today. The butter chicken tasted mostly like tomato, the chicken was good and so was the rice. It mostly tasted of tomato and the garlic naan was a bit like a fluffy pancake. I feel like it was an off day but usually the only problem I've had in the past is the naan being a bit doughy. I'll try again soon and hopefully get a better batch and naan. $10 special is great!

That i was very hungry so i asked for something quick. The service was actually very fast. The ambience was great and the food was delicious. A bit spicy for mild to med but i had great time there.
Great food with affordable price, my favourite is malai kofta, decent size of potato balls with nuts gravy. Chana masala also fine. Gd customer service aswell, bt very tiny menus, need to add some more dishes
We love the takeaways from Bombay blues and we absolutely adore the chicken sagwaala (i think that's how its spelt). My husband is from India and even he thinks it's nice too!
One thing that i am quite disappointed though, is that they stopped giving naans instead of rice. If the management is reading this, could you allow customers to take naans instead of rice please??
The Paneer Makhni made here is to die for. Absolutely delicious. Naan is also very soft and well made.

This is the best Indian food in all of Auckland possibly NZ! it is all made fresh so there is a waiting time which is great. Great prices, awesome service, clean establishment.
OMG YUM! Food is great and fresh, mild has just a hint of spice, perfect. Even the rice is great. Being fresh it can take a little longer than other fast foods so call ahead if you don't like waiting.

Its always great to find a simple outlet offering good variety and fresh tasty flavour with what you'd know as your classics. Its a nice surprise to find this indian takeaway that is alittle subway meets turkish that meets indian. I had the chicken tikka kebab. As youd expect fresh salads and ample portions of meet. Being tikka a good spiciness to it. Friends had the lamb kebab.
Went here for a meal here two weeks ago with a cousin of mine, the decor was nice and clean with a large open kitchen which was immaculately clean, where you could see the chef's at work applying there trade.
The menu was large with a lot of variety and a good selection of naan's too. The curries started of at $13 and the naan's from $3. My cousin ordered the butter chicken and garlic naan and l the chicken korma.
And this was the good part the chicken korma was stunning the sauce a vibrant yellow and as for flavor it was well amazing the spicing was good the portion size was large and worth all of the $13, I did asked for hot but they made it kiwi hot and not Indian hot which I really prefer. My cousin really enjoyed his meal and I did nick a bit of the garlic naan which is what you would expect a naan to be , don't go bye without calling in and treat your taste buds .
We tried Bombay Blues after Metro magazine ranked it in Auckland’s Top 50 Cheap Eats. I can see why it made the cut. The food is delicious and it’s great quality for the price – for $30 we can have dinner for two and enough left over for lunch the next day. This place has become a bit of a regular spot – best Indian food in town. I highly recommend.
Our favourite too...couldn't believe we had a little goldmine around the corner!!! Kids love the butter chicken - I'm a fan too!!! Naan bread outta this world. Thoroughly recommend it! Founds the customer service excellent and very friendly. Very fast and tasty everytime I go there - cannot understand why people bother to go to Carls Jnr when this is so much tastier!!! I'm a huge curry enthusiast and have been to a lot of Auckland Indian restaurants and was very impressed with Bombay Blues...already have kids begging to go back soon!
Had takeaways from Bombay Blues a couple of nights ago and I was impressed. Had the rogan josh and the tikka masala and while preferred the rogan josh both were great. Will be back and a lot better than the Curry Leaf closer to home.
First went to Bombay Blues with a deal voucher. Highly impressed with the curries. Recommend the Goan Fish curry as the fish is never over done and is fresh. The portions are enough to feed two people. The service is great and the wait is never too long. My girlfriend and I have been back several times and truly believe it's one of the best Indian restaurants in Auckland.
Great food, generous helpings of meat and veges, friendly polite staff. however i have never had joy with paying using the website. aside from a few glitches on the website, i would highly recommend.

Definitely the best of its kind I have been to in Auckland (by which I mean Punjabi Indian restaurant classics served to a largely non-Indian clientele). The kebab is good enough to please my Indian wife, however, so I think desis will find something to enjoy as well.
Every meal I have had there has been excellent, including their buffet lunch specials. Liv is right about the naan. They have a proper tandoor; it makes all the difference in the world.

Ordered chicken korma on rice with cheese and garlic naan bread. Very delicious, was just a little spicy from my liking but not over powering. Very clean and cozy place. Good customer service and also not expensive, looking at roughly $40 dinner for 2.

Hi guys, I would like to share my experience about how one day I wanted to try planner bhurji(mashed cottage cheese paneer) and when I rang the chef was like well we can do that for you but it's not on menu and I asked him how I like my paneer... Bro they nailed it I mean what I was thinking of the taste was exactly what I get unbelievable alright. Also there veg curries are very good since I am vegetarian lol so that's all I have to say. Please do try and ask the chef what would like to taste they are magician alroght😊😋

We have had takeaways from here five times recently and each time the food has been quick, hot, well presented and at a good price. I find phoning to order works best, the online ordering wasn't very user friendly. However the food is great and we will be going back!
