Love the idea to rotate flavours every two weeks! Yummy
After seeing the photos on Zomato, I had to visit this place. I got the mix of chocolate and their signature blue thingee which I forgot the name of, but when I asked the staff she said it was like salted caramel. It was so pretty and just like the photos I saw. The chocolate cone tasted good too. Ice cream was velvety smooth and didnt taste like cheap soft serves at fast food places. Only $4.50, much better value than Giapo or other dessert places.

Aqua S serves their signature sea salt soft serve (the beautiful blue) which tastes like salted caramel and have rotating flavours on offer (changing on the 1st + 16th of every month).

This pl is fantastic - reasonable prices and the options are pretty cool. I like the clear pricing. Sea salt twisted combinations are cool. Had red velvet & sea salt with fairy floss and the banana & sea salt with a marshmallow- super cute. Service was great also. Give it a go - it’s a good alternative to Giapo or Milse if your on queen street.
This place has constantly changing flavours that all taste pretty good. The ice cream is creamy and airy and there are many toppings to choose from.
I have been here numerous times and each time I can enjoy a new flavour (you can also ask to try them if you are unsure which flavour to choose).
Would recommend for a try, however, be aware that the ice cream is relatively sweet but perfect for satisfying that sweet craving.
This was my 3rd time visiting this place because their flavors often changes and Omg after seeing their fb post that they had Pandan flavour for the month of May, I just knew I cant pass on that. And oh boy did I love it!! I really hope this flavour comes back!! ❤ #laterReview
This ice cream is really worth the money! I tried the kinder bueno ice cream in February and it tasted exactly like it, I was so surprised. It was around $5 for just an ice cream itself w not toppings so if you looking for something to treat yourself you should buy but if you just feel like ice cream and you on a budget you should just buy an ice cream from McDonald’s. Service was good tooo.
Low key addicted to this place. It’s neat how there are 2 flavours that change once in a while. Very instagramable ice cream but it also tastes amazing.

The balance of the sea salt ice cream was excellent! Felt the taro ice cream was a bit subtle however the egg pudding was just right. Texturally the ice cream was incredibly smooth.
Been here a couple of times. The ice cream here is smooth and extremely delicious. Love the colour and the flavour of the sea salt and taro ice cream. It is also quite fair in price, which is around $5 for a cone.
Their sea salt flavour is absolutely amazing. So far I’ve only had their Green Apple and Sea Salt swirl (twice in one week hehe) and I can’t wait to try more flavours!
Their signature sea salt is the best! I had the sea salt+blueberry and grilled marshmallow. Don’t recommend the fairy floss toppings because it can get messy, but it is quite instagram worthy.
Yummy and cuteness overloaded. Definitely worth it for a picture on instagram. Love the sea salt flavour, refreshing and bazaar. They also have flavour changing every day and on my day was salted caramel which was too sweet for me. Adding all those good looking toppings was mainly for taking pictures, haha. A bit pricey since the size of the ice-cream is small so if you are on a tight budget and want a little extra sweet treat, believe me, simply order that ice cream on a cone or a cup!
Cute place and awesome, unique flavours. But there’s something off about the customer service lately? I usually encounter these two girls - one with dyed brown hair and the other with glasses.
They don’t smile at all. Super awkward. Even when I asked to try some flavours and tried to make conversation, they just quietly handed it over and stated while I ate.
The aesthetically pleasing blue sea salt soft serve adds the balance necessary to whichever flavour is available for the week. Without it, other flavours can be overwhelming.
The additional topping options not only add to the whimsical nature, but the toasted marshmallow is a must have!
I do wish more recyclable spoons were provided, even though the colour of the spoon adds to the brand.

I was a bit sceptical having sea salt ice cream when I first came here but was pleasantly surprised and now it has become one of my favourites.
I'm personally not a fan of the toppings but my friends love them - makes the ice cream a little bit fun!
I got a the brownie and sea salt flavour, and it was surprisingly really good! The sea salt contrasted well with the sweetness of the chocolate and gave it an interesting flavour.
The one staff member there was nice and friendly, and the store was pretty and cute on the inside. It would be better if it had chairs or tables, but it was a small space so it’s understandable why not.
Would go there again to try out another flavour, but it’d probably be a sometime thing.
Tastes all right, you could buy one for fun. It has two flavour. I had the salty one, tastes funny. You got to eat fast, otherwise you will be end with a mess over your face.

Combination of sea salt flavoured ice cream and sweet ice cream is pretty good.
I tried this place when I was in Australia, its good to see it in Auckland.
Got sea salt signature and the milk tea flavour I think. Sea salt was definitely better than the other. It’s something new I guess so quite good.
Lovely little ice cream shop. The salted ice cream had a nice mix of flavor. The watermelon flavor tasted a little artificial. Would go again for the salted ice cream.
Never realized that savory dessert is my thing before trying this ice cream! The sea-salt will forever be my fave.

I’m loving how Auckland is bringing in all these international franchises. Aqua S not only have one of the most insta-worthy soft serves, they also have the most unique soft serve flavours. Their signature sea salt flavour is always on the menu but they change up the other flavours every 2 weeks. There are 4 toppings to choose from (cotton candy, popping candy, caramel popcorn and toasted marshmallow on a pocky stick), all $1 each. If you get all 4 you save 50c, so there’s a lil incentive for ya!
Pretty cool ice cream shop on queen st. Beautiful Tiffany blue style backround wall for taking photo. And special sea salt flavour ice cream with toppings. U can choose what ever u like. Popcorn, marshmallow, candyfloss and some sugar. I really like the candy floss and tosted marshmallow. Tasty do good.
This place is definitely worthy of the hype it got when it first opened. I love soft serve, especially when it’s from Aqua S. They have different flavors on rotation each week and I keep finding myself coming back to try what’s new. In the past I have really enjoyed Hazelnut and Cheesecake, along with their signature Sea Salt flavour. The soft serve tastes really light and the flavors are authentic, never tasting fake or too sweet. The interior is really cute and perfect for taking insta-worthy photos and the staff are always friendly. They even let you try free samples. Prices are really affordable at $4.90 and an extra $1 for each topping.

Just like the pictures the ice cream was very aesthetic. I got Milo sea salt with fairy floss and mash mellow. The ice cream was nice creamy and refreshing, perfect for a hot sunny day. The ice cream melts quite quickly, which can turn into a sticky mess.

There’s unique and interesting icecream flavours that changes during the month but they always have their signture sea salt flavour. I had red velvet and sea salt swirl iceceam. I love the sea salt flavour, a sweety and salty combination. The red velvet was alright and a bit to sweet for me. The candy floss was a bit difficult to eat. The texture of the soft serve is so creamy and smooth.
Place is kinda small and cramped, wish they had more seating inside aswell.
Would recommend this place if you want a quick, tasty dessert for a reasonable price.

Love the soft serve here, my favorite is the sea salt flavour, their signature. As for the seasonal flavour, I prefer the Thai tea, not a big fan of the Taro or Mango cheesecake. The ice cream comes in a cone or cup, additional charge for add-ons. Honestly I don’t recommend the add-ons, since the soft serve melts pretty fast. If you crave ice cream and want a quick fix instead of dropping 17$ for Giapo, Aqua S is a decent choice.
Ice cream store that sells soft serve with unique and interesting flavours. They usually have two different flavours at a time, which change twice a month. The current flavours are written on the window outside. The only constant flavour is the sea salt which is normally mixed with their other flavours as a swirl. Their facebook page tells you which flavours are currently available.
I had the coconut one when I was there with the sea salt swirl in a black cone. You also have the option of adding toppings to the soft serve like popcorn and candy floss. The soft serve is nice and creamy and the flavours are there. Interesting place for dessert depending on what on offer at the time.
After so many long months craving to try this place, I had the opportunity to try their mango cheesecake flavour with a grilled marshmallow topping. I personally liked it very much whereas my partner preferred the durian ice cream tub (old flavour) that he purchased.

The sea salt is very unique, more salty than sweet. Complimented really well with the candy floss as it adds sweetness back into it. My favourite out of the two would be the milk tea one, nice and easy.
Staff are friendly and helpful, I noticed they sold durian ice cream and she kindly offered a sample before purchase.
Great stuff, due to the size of the candy floss it is nice they have an a divider/ cup lift to hold the candy floss up while you hold onto the cup.
My friends recommended this place, I personally don't really like the taste of the ice cream but it looks good. And the topping is pretty nice. Price is affordable.
Love the style of ice cream here its so different and tasty. Its refreshing to try a different flavour here every time I come by (they change up flavors every two weeks). The ice cream flavours can get a little quirky as they change flavours every two weeks or so but keep their signature sea salt flavour. Last time i had blueberry flavoured and it was so good. Would really recommend coming here regularly as they change flavours all the time.

Had the sea salt x salted caramel on a Friday night. Some of my friends had the tubbed ice cream - there are interesting flavours like Thai milk tea, durian, and taro. Soft serve ice cream is very creamy! For $4.90 it's an okay price, the tubbed ice cream are cheaper.

Once of the nicest ice creams I’ve tried. I had the creme brûlée flavour, it was soft, smooth & not too sweet. The popcorn topping added an extra amount of sweetness and texture. 10/10 would recommend
The blueberry cheesecake and sea salt ice cream combination is delicious. My friend had the coffee and sea salt and she said it is not that yummy. It looks nice with candyfloss but too sweet when you're trying to eat everything. 😂 All in all, it was an okay dessert but too cute with the add-ons so you should try it. ☺️

I ordered the Thai milk tea flavour and honestly I’ve got to say that it didn’t have a lot of of milk tea flavour to it. I also added the caramelised popcorn which was amazingly good.
They come out with different flavours once in a while and I can’t wait for the Matcha flavour but until then I don’t think I’ll be going back again.

The location is just perfect and the treats are more delicious than they look. Although they offer fancy toppings to add more frill and make the ice cream look instagram ready, we preferred having ours fuss free and it was delicious. This was our second visit and we had ice cream with fairy floss on the first visit. The second time we tried coffee and sea salt in their black waffle cone. We loved the perfect balance of sweet, salt and crunch. The soft serve is not flimsy and holds itself up well and is nice and creamy. They come with new flavours every week and we will definitely go to try some more!
I had this in Melbourne last year and really enjoyed the flavours so I was excited to see it here in Auckland. Since Giapo moved shop, Aqua S has moved into this space.
I really like the sea salt flavour. It's a nice marriage if the saltiness with the kids sweetness of the sift serve. I also like the texture of their softserve. It holds it shape and is churned to perfection.
I love the concept of this store. The menu is simple and gives you unique choices of ice cream and toppings. They create your dessert and it looks like colourful art. I chose the Blueberry Cheesecake and Sea-Salt ice cream in a cup. The toppings were: sweet popcorn, popping candy and grilled marshmallow. The ice cream taste was nice and the toppings were wonderfully sweet! After a while, it felt the flavours blended to make an undefined taste. So I would recommend just one flavour on your first visit here. It would be interesting to see if they change the topping choices in the future.

The ice cream parlour is small, yet so cute! The star of Aqua S is their sea-salt soft serve! It has a milky-sweet, simple taste which I love! Besides the cone, you can also get your soft serve in a smaller cup or in a tub. We got a sea-salt x tiramisu swirl w/ popping candy and a sea-salt x blueberry cheesecake swirl w/ roasted marshmallow. Sadly we didn’t go the extra mile to get a cloud of fairy floss around our soft serve, but it sure does look yummy and appealing in real life! Aqua S has tables outside for their customers to enjoy their soft serve

After being strongly recommended to try this place by a friend I decided to finally go and give it a try. Safe to say I was not disappointed. I had the Blueberry Cheesecake and Sea Salt duo in their unique black cone. I really liked the taste of the Blueberry Cheesecake and the Sea Salt flavour balanced it out nicely. The texture is of a soft serve but with a flavour that is more exciting than just your typical vanilla.
The inside is quite small and the decor is really nice pastel colours that reflect the colour of the ice creams. They release new flavours twice a month so definitely would go again to try them as they are unique flavours you wouldn’t really see elsewhere.
Aqua S has finally landed on NZ shores and I’ve already been here a couple of times because they always change their flavours. The soft serve is just so good!!!

The ice cream from here has unique flavours, such as Thai tea, sea salt, and peanut butter. The half/half ice cream combination with sea salt works well.
This place has really nice ice cream for sure! Didn’t taste generic but really uniquely different! The candy floss topping looked really cool but actually a real hassle to eat. If you enjoy simple menus and can’t decide on flavours def come here for your next dessert spot!

Delicious!!! Went here with my 4 year old on a Sunday afternoon, fortunately it wasn't busy however it did pick up while we were eating our ice cream. We had the tiramisu with the floss cloud and popping candy. The ice cream itself wasn't very sweet but I loved it. Miss 4 liked the idea of the floss cloud but didn't really care for the ice-cream. I will definitely be returning here over the summer. Be warned the actual shop is very small so it does get crowded. They also sell little pots of ice cream, the Durian flavour has peaked my interest so next time I'll go for that.

Very trendy and the sea salt ice cream combined with the other flavors really gave it more depth and flavor. The cotton candy was very cool and added a visual element to the dish.
The staff are really friendly and allowed taste tests. Taste tested the cinnamon apple and tiramisu, and stole some of my friend's sea salt flavour too haha. The coffee taste in tiramisu is really good and flavoursome! Would recommend for all coffee and tiramisu lovers :) this comes from someone who doesn't even drink coffee but likes coffee-flavoured treats lol. The cinnamon apple flavour was quite nice as well, not as mellow as sea salt but has a good balance of sweetness. Ended up getting the thai milk in the pre-packed containers. Really creamy, and the milky tea taste was super good. Would come again!
Got the Thai Tea x Sea Salt combo with 2 toppings; cotton candy and popping candy. The ice cream was really nice, very creamy and not too sweet, but I thought the Sea Salt flavour really overpowered the Thai Tea so I couldn’t really taste it 😅 the cotton candy wasn’t too sweet which was good and the black waffle cone was really crunchy! Will come back to try other ice cream flavours but wouldn’t get the toppings again. Toppings are worth getting if you want an insta worthy photo first time round 😂 I wish they made the ice-cream taller though since you couldn’t really see it with all that cotton candy.
I went in expecting everything to be crazy expensive (given the insta/social media hype about the company) but it was pretty reasonable! I got the classic sea salt (I think thats what its called at least) swirled with the peanut butter with a marshmellow. Would highly recommend the combo, as the peanut butter was quite strong and mellowed out by the rest of the flavours!
Yay new icecream place! I’m a big fan of icecream so I was super excited when I heard aqua s opening on Queens street.
I ordered peanut butter x sea salt flavour (the icecream on the right in the picture). The flavours sound weird but trust me, they taste exactly like what they are named 😂 my brain was like 🤔 when I ate the icecream because usually we think icecream to be sweet but it’s interesting to try a savoury icecream. But I must say the sea salt flavour overshadowed the peanut butter one coz it was more savoury. I will come back and try the other flavours (heard that they will change flavours later).
The shop is cute with pastel blue decoration and super good for Instagram pictures haha

I personally do quite like it! I only tried the sea salt soft serve which isn’t too sweet or salty so u won’t get sick of the taste.
Also, I personally won’t get the candy floss again just because it makes it difficult to eat the ice-cream as it kinda gets in the way. However for those of u that have a slightly more sweet tooth, the candy floss will be a nice add on topping.
Presentation wise didn’t look so nice compared to the photos I see on Insta, maybe because I wanted to take a nice pic so that’s y I care.

We ordered two Sea Salt & Thai Tea swirls in a chocolate waffle cone, one with cotton candy and the other with caramel popcorn. The ice cream flavours were absolutely beautiful, not too sweet or overpowering and the combination worked together in perfect harmony. They had a good range of fun toppings to choose from, which not only complimented the ice cream well but also made the eating experience very enjoyable.

Super honoured to have been invited to their first opening in NZ on Queen St and was fortunate enough to try their soft serve! It was my first time trying sea salt and peanut butter and I was amazed at how the two flavours complemented each other so well. The soft serve is smooth and tasteful and they have a range of toppings you can choose from to make your soft serve look and taste at its best!
You can choose from cotton candy floss, popping candy, popcorn and grilled marshmallow. Personally, I would say the cotton candy was a bit hard to eat and got a bit sticky but definitely worth a try if it's your first time (do it for the pics!)
The popping candy blows me away every single time as it gives the soft serve a crunchy texture as it continues to pop in your mouth. The popcorn is a nice complement and is a definite must! I know marshmallows aren't for everyone, but for those who love it, you've got to go and try it out!

Candy floss, toasted marshmallow on a pokka stick, nicely arranged on a gourmet flavoured soft served ice cream. What is not to like?? It’s the perfect pick-me-up. The ice cream is seriously delicious and the texture feels quality. Yes in terms of practically it’s like you’re racing against the clock because the candy floss is in the way of the ice cream but it’s melting so you have to finish the candy floss quick in order to get to the ice cream. But look at how it looks though.... think of all the insta likes though..... it’s might be a hype and probably a thing you one try once but seriously go try it, from the turn heads you get walking down the street you’ll definitely feel like you’re the bomb.

Finally Aqua S has come to Auckland! No need to go to Sydney to get a cone anymore. They have interesting flavours such as sea salt (the classic one) and they should be changing their other flavours every two weeks. A few examples of potential flavours (that Sydney has had) are Royal milk tea and Honey Milk.
You can add lots of toppings with the most iconic one being the candy floss.
The prices are really reasonable too at around $6 for the cone in the photo.

Was kindly invited by Aqua S as a VIP on their soft opening night in Auckland! Courtesy to this, I got to try my first ever Aqua S ice cream free of charge! Aqua S is an Australian-owned ice cream parlour known for their Sea Salt soft serve ice cream! They have interesting flavours on rotate every 2 weeks or so such as Pandan and Earl Grey etc. They are also extremely affordable!!!

The sea salt is a very intriguing salty and sweet combination that plays with your taste buds. The peanut butter also is salty and sweet and nutty, yet sophisticated. The soft serve itself is creamy without being greasy.
They also have mini tubs that you can take home that have small spoons hidden under the lid! So cool!
The candy floss is great for photos, albeit a little difficult to eat without getting messy!
This has and will take Auckland in a storm.
Can’t wait to try their other flavours when they’re out!

The current flavours are written on the window outside. The only constant flavour is the sea salt which is normally mixed with their other flavours as a swirl. Their facebook page tells you which flavours are currently available.
I had the coconut one when I was there with the sea salt swirl in a black cone. You also have the option of adding toppings to the soft serve like popcorn and candy floss. The soft serve is nice and creamy and the flavours are there. Interesting place for dessert depending on what on offer at the time.
Sea salt icecream sounds really bloody bizarre but if you look at it one way, icecream is meant to be sweet but they’re changing it up with the salt so I guess taste wise there’s meant to be that balance.
So they have two different sized cups (that aren’t too largely different tbh) or you could get the soft serve in a cone; the soft serve flavours change every now and then so here we have the sea salt and tiramisu (they had apple crumble but the machine was down). It does sound weird but it was quite nice! I’m pretty easy to please but your girl lovesssss icecream and I enjoyed this one.
The toppings are additional and therefore charged (I got 3 out of 4 add ons bc who tf wants popping candy on their icecream); they were pretty but also pretty impractical omg what a mission to eat 😩 But pretty so 😇
Giving this place 5 stars because I love Soft Served Ice Cream. I hope they will have more flavours like their base in Sydney. By the way, don't miss the chance to try their signature sea salt ice cream and whoever is Thai iced tea fan yes finally you can have your Thai iced tea ice cream.
I love that they change their icecreams frequently but stick to the infamous seasalt flavour! Very light and delicate flavoura, though not the friendliest of staff.
Creamy and smooth ice cream with nice salty twist. I had the sea salt flavour but they offer some other ones like blueberry and eldeflower or chocolate and you can also get a mix of 2 flavours. Their shop is located on Queen street. I really enjoyed the black crispy cone as well. Reasonably priced 4.9 NZD for quite large ice cream including the cone.
Unique flavoured soft serve ice cream, tastiest I've ever had. If you like salty European liquorice then try the sea salt icecream. Some strange flavoured combos e.g. Elderflower and vanilla which wasn't too my liking but the Snickers was delicious. They change up the flavours every two weeks so there is always something new to try. Two negatives is that the service can be slow if everyone is ordering the candy floss icecream (Instagram worthy) as there is only 1 staff member and that the place has no AC. Otherwise quick and delicious! Try it!

Try the sea salt soft serve. I know it sounds really weird but seriously, it's good.
Meanwhile, if you have mortal enemies get them one of the ice cream cones here with every single topping on offer, and run off while your enemy stands in the middle of the street looking very awkward holding a humongous ice cream cone + candy floss + marshmallow on stick etc with every pedestrian staring at the bulk. Revenge served harmlessly.
For a shop with only 3 flavour of icecream they have a lot of variaty. Good for a quick icecream if your having a stroll in central Auckland. There is usually a little gathering around the store after dark.
Salted caramel soft serve was delicious. Price was good and the service was quick. Looking forward to trying the milo flavour.

Well made soft serve with just the right sweetness at reasonable price. Tiramisu was delicious.
