Taco Loco was one of our food trucks at our wedding and boy, did they do a good job! Their tacos are delicious, cater to all allergies and are produced at a fast rate so guests don't have to wait in line. Plus Roger and his team are lovely to work with. I would happily recommend!
Hired Taco Loco for a 21st, they were so accommodating and lovely! The service and level of care was exceptional and really made the night special. The selection and quality of the food was brilliant and kept all of the guest very happy, even the vegetarians. They not only brought there iconic caravan but they set up decorations and had snacks for those who were in line. I cannot recommend them enough, your party or event will have an exceptional edge that the guests love. A little bit of Mexico is what every party needs. :)

Friendly staff and nice atmoshpere. Plenty of seating and amazing selection for food. Most authentic Mexican ive had in NZ. The Nachos were stacked with amazing pulled beef and the tacos were juicy and tasty. Defs come here again.
Absolutely love this place!! I used to live in México and find that this is the only restaurant in Auckland that provides mexican authenticity. Prices are really reasonable for what you get and don’t even get me started on the Michelada 😍
I love this place. The food was delicious but my fave for the night was my Frida Colada which is their twist on a pina colada! highly reccommend, especially on a hot day. The vibes were so good! We had a great time
I really love the variety of Mexican dishes here. They’re all pretty authentic too, not like other mass Mexican chains. I ordered the tostadas and thought it was really nice, portion sizes were generous.

My second time here. Great atmosphere. Had a mariachi band this time. Last time was Mexican bin go night. Food is excellent. Over 2 visits I have samples a lot. I can recommend carnitas burrito and prawn qaesadilla. I have to say service last time was very slow. They were slammed in a Saturday night. But all the staff are really lovely and create a nice fun atmosphere. I'll be back.
Best Mexican food I’ve ever had
Awesome place with tasty food and good service. We had the fish tacos, Vege enchiladas, and the potato flautas with a deep fried banana for dessert. All of which were SO good, there are loads of vegetarian options too which is another plus. The food took a while to come out but the servers were so lovely it made up for it. We will definitely be back.
Awesome place for big groups and the atmosphere is very chill vibes. Great cocktail and food selection that you would be stuck with what to order next! Staff are really friendly and service made the night even better!

This visit was not my first visit, but was my husband’s first time here. We decided to have Mexican instead of our usual cafe for brunch. I ordered the barbacoa tacos $20, the slow cooked lamb is real yummy. My husband ordered the beef nachos $21, husband was really happy that the beef is not minced beef and it tasted great too. The only negative comment is that we find their coffee bit on the weaker side.

For NZ standards this Mexican was fantastic! As an American there were some elements missing to really call it authentic. Service was fantastic. My husband got the asada tacos which were lovely. I got the chimichanga which was way too big for one meal, but the cheese was plentiful. The fresh tortilla chips were so nice. Get the horchata (cinnamon rice milk), I would have been happy with two more!!
Everything was so good..portions were good for sharing as well as if you want it to yourself.
Staff were knowledgeable about their dishes and very friendly, quite a small place but a great cozy environment, food was lovely. so many vege choices which means i’ll have to go back a few more times!

A Mexican place out in the suburbs with delicious tacos, enchiladas and salads. You can't go wrong here and they have a great bar selection with Mexican beers too. Definitely check it out!

Hats off to taco loco with their ambiance and the mariachis giving us some entertainment while enjoying dinner. I loved it ! That was a bonus. We ordered the tacos, burrito and mushroom spinach and cheese dip with corn chips which was amazing!! We got our food within 20 minutes which was great, since the place was packed out thought we would’ve had to wait longer but that wasn’t the case. The food selection was great! This would be the perfect place to bring a group of friends or family. Price and quantity wise it was perfect! Parking wasn’t an issue for us we managed to find one right outside the restaurant. The only thing I would suggest is to book in advance because the seats inside get booked up super fast, and during the evening if you end up having a seat outside it can be quite chilly.
This is the most authentic Mexican food you can get around this was my second visit and I had to order every special they had which was pozole, pablano pepper stuffed with beef and salsa and crispy pork skin tacos. Wonderful fresh, high ingredients and vibrant flavors combined with the most wonderful hosts ever makes this place a must do for anyone and if you want a recommendation for the standard menu try the carnitas tacos. A new addition my third visit and still incredible I really cant recommend this place enough

Ordered Chicken Burritos, Mayas Fries with GG IPA. I must say portions are good. I ate full and brought home too. 1 portion of burrito is good enough for a light meal. Mayas fries are tasty and good quantity. I will definitely visit more to try other items on menu.

We stopped by for coffee today and wish we’d come with an appetite to try out their menu. Such a quirky little space, plenty of seating and character. They have a little bar with beer on tap and a tidy menu, looks like a good spot to enjoy some sun, snacks and a cold drink with a group of friends, we’ll definitely be back. Coffee was nice and strong, and came with friendly service.
EDIT: We just went back for dinner and I think this is one of our new favourites! The Decor is so cool with the artwork outside and the overall atmosphere it all creates. Our waiter Luis was so lovely and attentive, and was happy to make recommendations. We tried all 3 cocktails and loved them all, we especially liked the chilli and lime salt on the rim of the margaritas. The food was delicious and authentic, and we loved the options of sauces to add your own level of spice to your meal. To be honest we’re more used to pub nachos and tacos, and it was so refreshing to experience the real taste of Mexican food. We’ll be back! Can’t wait to try the rest of their menu.
You would’ve thought that since we work 5-minutes drive away from Symonds Street that we’d eat there more often. But you’d probably have more luck finding true love on K-Road than finding a park there (no shade thrown at K-Road, just saying). Today seems to be one of our lucky days though, the Huskies all crammed into our Husk mobile and landed ourselves at this Mexican eatery, which serves house-made tacos and taco bowls where you can customise toppings to your liking. You HAVE to try their corn chips n’ dip, there’s some epic cheesy jalapeno paprika sorcery in there and we could each have taken shots of it if we were all not civilised people. Go. Go. Go.

Easy parking, the place has a nice relaxed atmosphere and nice deccor, coffee was very good and food was nice too. We'll reccommend it and will definitely be back!!!
I visited Taco Loco with a group of friends and had a great experience. The cantina is setup beautifully (cool mexican decor), staff were friendly and we sat at a table outside enjoying the sunshine while having our meals. I had the chicken quesadilla and it was delicious!! The portion was very generous too! Tip for mothers: the place is also kid friendly with an area layed out on one side of the shop with a few toys to keep the little ones entertained while you eat. And they do drive through, takeaway coffees if you are in a hurry. Will definitely come again!

A tip would be to go on a weekday morning (6.30am I think they open) as it’s so busy on weekends at the moment with the market running Saturdays... I suspect once word gets out how good this place is it will be busy all the time though.
High recommended. Kid friendly with child area. Staff are polite & accommodating of special dietary requirements.

Food was delicious, coffee was great, staff were friendly and attentive and loved the decor. Parking was easy and right outside which is a bonus on that busy road.
One of our favourite spots when we want a more casual setting. The margarita are always good (warning, they’re strong!) as well as their mulled wine.
Beef birria tacos are probable the favourite here. But what stands out for Taco Locos tacos, is the use of two corn tortillas per taco which is great.
We usually have 3 sets of tacos between two which is plenty and could probably go with 2 sets and a side.
The atmosphere and staff are always lovely, just make sure to book if there’s more than two of you and you’re coming on a busy night.
We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Taco Loco, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular.
The chimichanga, a delightful dish of chicken and meat, was cooked to crispy perfection, with each bite oozing with flavor.
The tacos dorados were a crunchy revelation, and the dessert, Tres Leches, was a dreamy, creamy end to a fantastic meal.
The warmth and hospitality of Roger, the Brazilian owner, added a personal touch that made the lunch even more special.
And Victor’s culinary skills were evident in every dish that came to our table. A heartfelt thanks to the entire Taco Loco team for such an unforgettable dining experience.

We tried tonight’s special taco and it was easily the best taco we ever had! Quesadilla was also a delight and felt authentic. Lastly, we finished our meal with 3 Leches and I would say it was superb.
Also, the waitress made our overall experience outstanding. Not only was she friendly but her energy brightens up the atmosphere.
Definitely gonna go back to this place!

Taco Loco was quite a pleasant experience for me. First, the atmosphere: beautifully decorated and I loved all the signage in Spanish. I had my food at the rear patio, which can be quite hot if it's sunny. The beef nachos were delicious and abundant, I almost couldn't finish them but they were too good to leave the plate with leftovers. They felt authentic and that must be because the chef is Latino. They have a good selection of hot sauces and they even had my favourites: green habanero and Valentina. I was surprised with a salsa I hadn't tried before named 'borracha' (I think), you need to try it. And the service was exceptional: The food arrive fast to the table. I was served by Ana and Sol who were very kind to me and we even chatted for a while, but th;ey were always alert to perform their duties. I think they are very valuable people and it's good when you leave a place with a smile. And that's the reason I am doing this review. Taco Loco is not just a cantina in Auckland, it's an exprience. It's the people, the service, the athmosphere, the food. I recommend and would definitely come back :)
