Friendly staff and amazing fried chicken and juicy smoky beef burger! Will definitely visit again! Thank you! Love their gourmet chocolate chip cookies😋
I chose to come here because I saw ube French toast was on menu, but sadly discovered it no longer is.
The flat white was okay but the chicken and waffle was good at least. It was a bit small for the price though and either should’ve been two waffles or maybe a larger waffle for what you pay.
A bit too well hidden, but a lovely quiet little brunch/brekky spot in Newmarket. Had great luck with a clever Barista who made the cutest unicorn flat white. Food was done well, with slight twists on a classic fare. It's a shame I was too full to try any of the cabinet food. Will have to come back again!
We come here on a Saturday for lunch. It was our first time here, lots of space to sit down in the lobby. The food cabinet looks really good.
The food we had was delicious and so were the drinks. We liked the service and not too bad price either.
Definitely recommend coming here.
It's a very nice spot for good coffee and breakfast, friends also like it, keep up the good momentum.
A hidden gem on Broadway just by the roundabout. The cafe is situated in a modern, elegant building and you can look out the window at the busy hustle bustle on the street. I had the Open Faced Omlet which was very tasty. The coffee was super good. I want to come back again to sample more things on the exciting menu!
During a work time lunch, I ventured to the new cafe, Newbie, in the brand new Mercury building. The cafe is very stylish and the food cabinets are simply extraordinary, laden with so many tempting sweet and savory treats to choose from and there’s a kitchen menu.
I simply adore their chocolate laminating and pumpkin plum cheesecakes and the espresso is lovely. My favorite of the menu dish is the Godmother spring onion scrambled eggs on kumara sour dough and savory sauce, it’s exquisite! The eggs Benedict is lovely too. Highly recommended!
Breakfast was delicious and staff were lovely. They could pay a little closer attention to allergies as one of our table said she can't eat onion and garlic but was served it as part of a sauce smeared on the plate.
The cafe is located on the ground floor of the new Mercury building in Newmarket. The cafe itself is very small but they do have tables in the atrium of the building. It was fairly busy but we managed to get a table and got ourselves some menus. After heading up to order, the waitress did come to see if we were ready to order.
The iced chocolate was ok as it was very milky and not very chocolatey. Both the corny fried chick and the lamb pappardelle were delicious. I also quite liked the French Kissed Toast even though it was a bit gluggy. They also had really interesting food in the cabinet like the popcorn salted caramel donut but it was sold out after we had lunch so didn't get to try it.
Overall it has really nice food. The service was ok and it would have been good if there was a sign where people could wait. The only other problem was that the portions were a bit small.
omg me and my friend really enjoyed this plate! healthy but also tasty! service was good that grilled tomato so incredible but matcha latte was bitter so we didn’t drink at all 😭 i just wonder why.. maybe hot drink..? if we ordered cold matcha drink might be fine
Food is of a high standard. Service and quality is great. Have been here many times and will continue to return.
This place is full of good vibes. Starting from the food, the coffee, the friendly staffs, the window seating area, the docor, the deserts..everything
Ordered turmeric latte, prawn noodles and a chocolate cake. They use organic coffee and hence the coffee was rich, yummy and delicious. The sauce in the noodles had mustard and was absolutely delicious. The chocolate cake is a must try.
I would love to go back to this place snd try the other items in the menu. :)
Amazing cafe! 🙌🏽 Moved to Auckland a week ago & been going each morning. Oat milk coffee is not only delicious but a great barista that obviously has a passion for making great latte art like this mornings 😍
Huge selection of cabinet food & sweet treats that are very reasonably priced!
Place looks good. Food is nice as well. Good variety. Tried some of the cabinet food. Wish they warm it up a bit more but otherwise place is pretty comfortable.
Our favourite Sunday brunch spot. Doesn't seem to matter what you order from the menu or cabinet, it's always incredible. High class, but hearty fare, and all made in house. It perfectly caters to typical kiwi preferences/food culture, but with that "extra" factor.
When they change the menu (which they do periodically to keep things novel and exciting) there's always the slight worry you're gonna miss the previous menu - but the new stuff never dissappoints.
Very nice spacious space and great food, i ordered the ramen and their egg is on point! Not an easy thing to please for me! Love the brew of flavour in their soup too, not like some ramen places which just taste like salt water. I'm keen to come back and try their other food
Really love a Saturday morning brunch at Newbie! The cabinet food is amazing, plenty of gluten free cakes and slices for my partner to enjoy 😋
