Learn Mandarin or Cantonese before coming here! Although the menu has pictures and clear pricing, you won't be familiar with 99% of the food unless you're well acquainted with Chinese Cuisine. Would have helped to have an informed waiter explain some of these dishes. Regardless, the food stratified my cravings. I'd come back with a Chinese friend for sure. P.S go around lunch time for the Yum Cha experience, Google what that means π p.s.s they'll drop tea right away for $4.5 per adult, so if you don't want to pay reject it asap.
1/ Not so busy for Yum Cha today, so things were a lilβ slow on coming out on their trolleys, still considered ourselves lucky to have a Yum Cha restaurant so close by.
2/ First visit for 2023, always a good experience with a wide variety of yumcha dishes.
Quick dinner while the kids were away, sweet and sour was beautiful and fried noodles good and great portion, dimsum and prawn toast hot and tasty. Enough for lunch the next day and around $80 for 2 so thought this was very reasonable. Will be back.
We come to this restaurant quite frequently for lunch and dinner. The place was quite normal but pleasant looking. Spacious and good size tables for large families and friends gathering. Service was friendly and plenty of parking.
Hands down best Yumcha in Auckland. It was packed so I would recommend coming a little before 12 or reserving a table. Very clean, polite staff and great food. Will give this a rare 5 star. Recommend the Prawn and Coriander dumplings.
yummy, but maybe the crispy pork belly is not the best, lots of unrendered fat and not too crispy - i recommend the char siu bbq pork instead. meals got be hotter too and this yum cha $$ can get pricey fast π
First time visit today. almost went to the other Chinese restaurant, which is neighbouring, because both big red signs are written in Chinese. You should follow the arrow with saying Yum Cha. Spacious and clean, attentive staff, reasonable prices, scrumptious food. Eggplant dish was most delectable. Probably my favourite yumcha place in the city. Definitely will go back.
Absolutely fantastic place to enjoy healthy food cooked to perfection. My experiences dining here have been memorable. All staff including chefs & managers have been hardworking to provide happy customers a great selection of cuisines better than fast food & better served with green tea of course. Recommended 100% come enjoy the very best of Asian cooking πβ€βΊ
We have been waiting for a good Chinese restaurant out west for a while now and glad this place just opened up. Relatively simple design, but vlean and tidy restaurant. Good variety on the menu with the normal Chinese dishes, with big Cray's and fresh seasonal fish available. Staff weren't really English speaking but was very accommodating. We ordered some yum Cha, salt pepper squid and chilli chicken. Food was really good.
Food delicious. Good portion. Black pepper lambchop expensive and small portion. Over all it is good food.
Deliciously authentic dim sum - the best I've tasted in West Auckland. Reasonably priced and the service was quick and friendly.
OMGOSH! Where has this place been! The most delicious Asian style food I have had in such a long time! Portion sizes are spot on with the ability to be shared with the whole whanau. This was my first visit and wont be my last to this establishment. Child friendly with super helpful staff; perfect for any occasion. Seating is immaculate; toilets are clean (yaaassss) and perfectly cooked food. This is hands down one of my new food joints that has made the cut (and I'm super picky) thank you to the wonderful and helpful staff at Asian Wok. You have won me over! I look forward to trying more of your dishes next time I pop by (might be next week lol). Wish I took a pic true of the entire table of food we had. Perhaps next time (=
Great range of yum cha selection & very friendly waitresses.πππ
Food was tasty, many choices and friendly staff. The teapot had a generous amount of tea leaves in it and had a very good taste (some restaurants are stingy on tea leaves, leading to a very weak taste - so bland, almost like water lol)
Although the price was a little bit high...it was worth it! Will def visit again :)
Very fresh food , price went up a bit. ( guess everywhere happens)
Wasn't too bad.
Ordered online.
Service was great!
Ordered prawn toast which comes in a quantity of 4.
Fried rice definitely not worth $25 considering the portions are around the same as a standard chinese takeaway, and don't taste much different.
Would say is an okay place if you're craving Chinese food, but wouldn't rave.
Yum char dishes are delicious and good price.
Dishes come out hot and there is always plenty of condiments like soy sauce, chilli sauce at no extra charge.
Decor is average but place is popular cause food is great.
