I had the most delicious cheeseburger today with the yummiest hot chips. The burger was so fresh and had sooo much flavour. The atmosphere was so lovely, the music was good and most importantly the staff were the best ever and super lovely as always! Feeling very grateful with a full tummy. Literally the best fish & chips I've ever had. Perfectly crisp and fluffy potatoes. Toasties and blt had the perfect crisp exterior and that comforting stretchy cheese. Food took quite a while to get to us but it's just to make sure everything is cooked to perfection 😋 👌
I had the most scrumptious veggie burger, partner had bbq burger. Both were delicious and fresh and huge! The chips are fabulous too, proper chips, thick and crunchy! We are making this our every Friday night treat. The people at Alfred's are lovely too. Warm and friendly and very welcoming. All around the best place in town!
I’m trying my best to find words that don’t make me sound overly posh but the food here is absolutely Devine!!! I’ve had a few pies and we have just finished up with our take out! 10/10 would dine again!!!

Great stop after a bush walk. Cozy tables inside the historic store, and bigger tables in the outdoor area. Friendly staff, good food, excellent burgers.
Alfred's Huia Store is a great spot for a delicious meal near the beach. Their Snapper is fresh and cooked perfectly. The Oreo cookie is a perfect dessert, and their coffee is great to pair with it. The Butter Chicken pie is flavourful and satisfying, It can be hard to find a good Butter Chicken pie these days, and I highly recommend it. Overall, a cozy and welcoming spot with plenty of options to choose from, and a lot of local history on their walls (photos). A great way to end the day after a long hike at one of the many nearby walks.

First (and most definitely not last) visit yesterday with a couple of mates, and wish we stayed longer so I could look at all the awesome pictures and items they have around the shop, so special and funky! BEST pie I've had probably ever (steak & mushroom), had a lovely wee yarn with Michelle too and bought some sick earrings. Thank you guys, hope the summer is great for yous, looking forward to coming back :)
The crispiest tastiest fish, with some of the best chips I've ever had. Nestled between two chunky bits of bread, with sauce. Absolute perfection
One of Auckland's real gems. Great cosy interiors, lovely outdoor area. Fantastic food and friendly service. Always make sure to pop in here on any day trips out this way.

My family and I went to the Huia cafe and we were pleasantly surprised with the amazing food and reasonable prices! I absolutely recommend going to this cafe, especially considering the great views. Extra thanks to Chef Levi who made the best burgers my family and I have ever had!
