Edit: We came by to their newish Dominion Road restaurant for a celebratory dinner. The menu is quite interesting and since we had quite a few people we were able to get most of the items on the menu. Most of their dishes were very nice to look at and very tasty to eat. Both the potatoes and kumara dishes were really nice. It had interesting flavours and textures. The cucumber was also quite interesting and tasty. The asparagus with mushrooms were also nice. I wasn't a big fan of the artichoke dip though. All the desserts that we had were really nice. The burnt vanilla ice cream with mandarin and riesling curd was the best of the lot, closely followed by the coffee sponge with strawberries. Definitely a great place to come for vegetarians. You don't really notice the lack of meat with the tasty dishes they prepare. It is a really intimate restaurant that is very casual and relaxing. The service and food are both impeccable so it is worth a try. The fact that they only do vegetarian food might be scary, but this is one of the places that makes really good vegetarian food without having to pretend it's not.

Really unique vibe. Reasonably small menu but certainly interesting, and everything we tried was simply delicious. Intimate space. Great service too. Looking forward to a special occasion to eat here again soon!

Wow! The ice cream looks like an elephants knee. It's delicious too. The rose jelly tastes like a bath bomb, and I love Lush!!

Best vegan restaurant in Auckland. Have been there many times and has never disappointed. New venue on Dominon Rd is exquisite and glad they can take more patrons now. Take the journey, you won't be disappointed. 😀

Phenomenal! The restaurant itself is very small which serves to create an intimate dining experience where you feel like you’re eating in a cozy apothecary. The set menu allowed us to try flavour combinations we would never have chosen otherwise, a lot of sweet, tangy and vinegary flavours with it all still feeling light and bright. The cocktails were also delicious and incredibly refreshing. As a vegan of 8 years this is one of few times in recent memory I’ve felt genuinely excited for each course and it’s reminded me of the versatility and beauty of plant based food. We will definitely be eating here again and look forward to seeing the frequent menu changes!

Overall, awesome experience. Love that as a vegetarian I could eat everything on the menu. We were genuinely surprised by all the different flavour combinations like marmite/capers/kumara, that worked so well together. Awesome concept of a set 3 course menu that changes frequent to suit ingredients that are in season.

Overall it was a good dining experience. The restaurant is very cozy, very good concept and friendly staff. I am not a vegetarian just to try , I know it is very challenging to make vegetarian food tasty and beautiful. Good to try and experience, once is enough

The food and presentation was beautiful. The dining was intimate and well served by the waitress. Only feedback would be the portion sizes were small for the price. We ordered everything on the menu and enjoyed it. It just wasn’t enough.

The most insane meal, really nice atmosphere and lovely staff :)) We got our dishes made vegan and it was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time (especially the kumara!!) Would highly recommend!

Absolutely superb! Amazing food, presentation, service, and atmosphere. It is a set menu which will take some adjustment for some people, but it allows them to focus on making the most amazing, fresh, seasonal food possible. Always artful combinations of flavor. Highly recommended!

Such interesting combinations of flavours and textures and good sized portions. Delicious. Really good drinks too. It was a bit noisey but they're moving into better premises soon

We loved dining at Forest. I’m a strict vegetarian but not fussy at all, so it was so nice to be able to let go of control and enjoy a set menu. Usually before dining out I will have checked what vege options are available and usually chosen what I want. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. Looking forward to going again

Wow! What an amazing boutique-style restaurant (6 tables). Loved the vegetarian and vegan dishes, so much flavour and so many different textures. Ingredient combinations that I'd never seen before - that's what I like to eat out for. And I'd highly recommend the chili/smoked salt/lime/vodka cocktail! Glad to support businesses like this who also have a low waste focus. I'll be back for sure.
