Best char kuey tiaw in NZ! A truly hidden gem. Must try!
Have been to this place many times dining in. But in this particular occasion no dinning in because of the Covit situation. So just takeaway. The taste of the food was consistently good but the portion was small but the prices were still very cheap. If you are a big eater maybe two portion can only
People! If you are not the person who really cares about dinning area. If you are not the person who asks for great hospitality and customer service. If you focus on great foods only, here is the place for you definitely! These old couples they really know how to work the wok! Amazing cooking skil
This place is a hidden gem. Was skeptical at first but never judge a book by its cover. Went in for a little noisy. Place does not have eftpos so remember to bring cash. Food is crisp on point. The pork rinds they fry amongst there noodles is Magic. Quick fast service. Loves coming here hungry and h
The food is awesome..the taste bring me back home! But the portion size is miserably small..ridiculously small!!! Cant fill up my little tummy. So not value for money in my own opinion. Hopefully the owner can take the feedback and improve on the portion size.
One of the best char kway teow in Auckland. Space is limited.
Senior couple team. Wok flavour as he fry each single order @ a time, hence each order gets its appropriate ingredients/sauces & cooking attention. Chef is undaunted by orders & passionately cooks every order. Allow serving time unless call in order earlier. 4 table sitting 4 guest & 2 table for 2.
I tried their Char Koy Teow today and it was one of the best in Auckland. The dish so nice I still grant 5 stars though they only accept cash.
TL; DR Come here for: Amazing char kway teow The fish ball soup with rice vermicelli noodles Remember to: Bring cash - no eftpos here Simple set up - you get your own cutlery, chilli, soy sauce, the works, from a cabinet. It is as much self service although they do have table service in the sense
Laksa was great. But the Char Kuey Teow IS FIRE. Cash only, but I sent my partner to the ATM down the road so we could get this amazing food. You can tell it's real when your partner makes you walk 1.5km to get the business.
As I Malaysian I highly recommend this place. Cheap, delicious and almost tastes like home!
Ordered the char kway teow, taste is closest to what I get at home (Singapore). Wok hey ++++. Only place that I’ve tried in Auckland that fries their CKT with pork lard. Have tried other Malaysian restaurants before and none of them comes as close to this! Prepare some cash as they don’t take eftpos
I had beef fried noodle, it was very nice, one of the better ones around. I thought the price was good, enough for one. The only down side is cash only but I will be back.
Best Char Keow Teow. Cash Only. everything else is superficial.
Great price, great taste and fair portion. Small restaurant so you might need to wait but it’s worth it 😃
