I came to the beach here to bask in the sun on the weekend. It's past lunch time. I came here to order some food casually. The taste was good and there were many choices. Overall, the experience was good!
Great atmosphere with a live band for Octoberfest. Food was good too. Not sure what it's like on a regular night but I imagine still a damn good place for a few drinks with mates. Seems they do events quite often
Very nicely decorated place. Kind and professional service. Great salads. Nice menu selection. Pizza is delicious, however mine got burned corners and ingredients were all in middle. Definitely good place to eat if you travel around. I will visit again.
Place is good the only annoying thing are those flies flying and diving around your food while you eat.
Pork belly still has lingering smell and bit dry. The tostadas has that fresh and clean taste from the mango salsa and jalapeño&lime. My boys like both burgers the chicken and beef 🍔 so I guess its good. Their fries 🍟 the way I liked it👍
Visiting family in Auckland and The Franklin was on our list. Well worth the country drive out in the sunshine today. We had a warm friendly welcome from staff and great service. The food was generous, beautifully presented and well portioned. Everything looked beautiful but the flavours were incredibly good. If your experience of mussel fritters is of the piklet kind be prepared to be amazed. These were juicy flavour bombs. The chef’s seafood chowder is lifted by a little burst of Pernod which lifts this dish to the sublime and it was packed with morsels and fish on the half shell.
Don’t leave without sharing one of the chefs signature desserts. We had the famous cookie dough dumplings with vanilla icecream. You have to try them!

Had the eye fillet for dinner. Absolutely fantastic meal, steak and rosti cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!
The staff were very friendly and checked with us several times to make sure we didn't need anything. The food was of very good quality and were good serving sizes. I had the Chili Dog to save money and was blown away with its size and quality. The Eton Mess was the highlight of the meal, it was fantastic! We attended the quiz which was a bit of a let down, I felt it was too informal to be enjoyable but it was clear that was the vibe they were going for. Will definitely go again for the food but will give the quiz a miss.

Had an awesome dinner on the Valentine’s Day! Loved every minute of it; food was very delicious, fast service and nice cocktail options. Loved the gin cocktails special! Live music just topped it of with beautiful artists. Thank you and we will certainly visit again 🤩
Foood was amazing- they lost our docket and offered us a free dessert (although we weren’t expecting it and food was brought out so quickly! Docket was only lost for 5 mins or so, so staff definitely went above and beyond. Amazing Burger, fish and chips!!
Really enjoyed dinner with family on the 5th April, food is good and kids loved build your own ice cream dessert, Thanks Chantelle for such a lovely service, will surely come back,
The place is within the shopping complex, plenty of parking both up the road and the front. Service was ok, seemed a bit under staffed as there was a large wait for the drinks order. Starters were small if not a bit small, mains was the lamb and it was good. Good seating available inside and outside with umbrellas to keep the sun away
Great meal. The place was busy being Friday night, but the meal arrived reasonably quickly.

We were in today for a family lunch, 4 adults with children (so a large amount was spent).
I ordered the BBQ Ribs, and they were really unpleasant!
The ribs were the toughest meal that i have ever had from anywhere before.
I informed a staff member that they were awful and dry.
I couldn't eat them & decided to take them home to slow cook for 2hrs, and they were no better.
Please remind the kitchen staff to taste what they are providing.

My fiance & I had our engagement party at The Franklin on 11/3/23. We along with our families & friends were absolutely blown away with the beautiful venue as well as the quality of service & delicious food. From the prompt email replies & answering all questions leading up to the event, to the incredible above-&-beyond service during the event - we could not be happier & more grateful. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and the food was so much better than expected! From the small plates can highly recommend the spiced lamb meatballs and karaage chicken. I was also told that franky's hot wings are pretty HOT! From the mains my husband and I shared the ribs which were delish and I was told everyone else's mains were pretty good too. Only bummer was the steep drink prices but otherwise had a lovely time with great service 🤙
