Fantastic food! The best pork I have ever eaten! My partner loved his pie of the day which was beef brisket.
Lots of beers on tap and the service was really friendly.
The food did take a while to arrive but it was a Friday night and very worth the wait.
This is a great place to relax unwind and enjoy an amazing atmosphere. Great range of Craft Beers on tap, great staff and one outstanding Owner where nothing is to much trouble. Visit and enjoy a relaxing beer and great food.
Dietmar and staff were excellent hosts for my wife's short notice Birthday party. The food was excellent, the drinks flowed and the on tap beer variety was superb. 20 odd beers available on tap but the first one I tried was so good I didn't get past it.
Highly recommended for both individuals and groups with a very obliging host.
Great place to eat and drink, I had the "Henry's Steak" a 500gm Rump and it was sensational, I am a Butcher from Sydney and it was A1. My wife had the Pork Schnitzel and ask if she could change the sides (which wasn't a problem) Aa great selection of beer and wine as well. ����

Absolutely gorgeous atmosphere, lovely kind staff, great selection at the bar and the highest praise I can give is that if you order a medium-rare steak, you actually get a medium-rare steak.
And the food was delicious, love the German/Bavarian options!

Great atmosphere with very friendly and knowledgeable staff to help choose from the wide selection of craft beers. Also lucky enough to have a few beers with the head brewer from the Renaissance Brewery next door, an education and entertainment in itself.
Had a lovely meal last night, all 13 off us. Staff were awesome, meals delicious and out quickly..we will be back!

This venue has it all! It has a great outdoor eating space (as well as indoor) that includes a fun oversized games area to have a bit of fun or set up some rivalries to while away a few hours 😀
Incredible place! Many beers to choose from, all on tab, and changing ever so often, so each time you visit, there will be new drinks to explore. Amazing food as well, especially the burgers. Make sure to try the Dodson fries, too! Attentive, friendly, international staff, and the owner, Dietmar, has lots of stories to tell about the building and the area.
Wish I was back here grabbing a brew and fries. Fun place that fills up quickly. Great brew selection, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff and interesting decor. Must drop in here for a cold one.
Amazing serving sizes, the chips were so good, nice and crunchy.
Steak was a little over cooked but still delicious and the chicken burger was fantastic too. Definitely recommend this place.
What a neat experience! The staff were lovely, the drink choices plentiful and tasty, the setting incredible and the ambience spot on for lunch and a few drinks.

Food was yummy and reasonably priced... only thing missing from menu for me was a breakfast/brunch type something, but what we had tickled the tastebuds and more than filled the tummy.

Excellent food accompanied by excellent, friendly and efficient service. I had the pork knuckle and my partner had the venison burger with sides of garlic bread, sauerkraut and red cabbage. The food was outstanding and plenty of food.
The service is superb being friendly, fast and efficient topped with a beautiful setting both indoors and outdoor seating.
The selection of tap beers has local and international beers for every palette.
Highly recommended and will be back frequently. The value has to be the best in NZ!
Recommended by a friend, so we caught up with her there for a couple of drinks and dinner. A good range of beers on tap and the food was great. Staff service was good and the price very reasonable for what we had. Pizza, a couple of burgers and fries and none of us left hungry!

This place is a must visit in Blenheim it's something different. Two areas to dine inside and an outdoor beer garden giving lots of space for seating but it's super popular so be sure to book as if it's winter you may only have outside options available. The staff are super helpful and lovely and the food is delish can recommend the goulash it's just what we were wanting. The decor is what you would expect and makes you think you are in a smaller scale beer hall in Germany can totally recommend.
I'm in love, awesome building, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices and too many taps to choose from! As someone who prefers boomer beers, it was an eye-opening experience.

Best fries in NZ! I've had a lot of fries in my time and by golly these were incredible! Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, seasoned perfectly and served with tasty BBQ sauce and spicy aioli. We also grabbed pizzas and craft beer tasting trays. Cosy pub, kind service and kid friendly too.
Great spot for a beer and food…the young girl behind the bar was excellent and even remembered the orders, are we are not regulars…the bowl of chips was huge and tasty and the Russian Roulette pizza was just that….the one slice was certainly nose running hot but very tasty ☺️…it would have been nice to have been able to reserve a table but when they were called, we were told it wasn’t possible however upon arriving a lot of tables had reserved on them…we would return

The food, the beer and the dessert are amazing. Specially the Schweinshaxe, it is just perfect. My husband and I highly recommend this place. During the spring and summer time you have to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and the nice garden.
One of the best restaurants I've ever been to after 30 something countries and years of travels, everything about this place is exemplary. It truly shows how much the owner cares about this place. Great beer garden and excellent/authentic German cuisine.
