My favourite restaurant, we are there every week without fail. I have never had a bad meal yet, and we have been going since day 1. I know the takeaways take awhile, but the phone is consently ringing off the hook for takeaways, so you need to order at least half an hour before meal is required.
Brilliant food - always great to 'eat in' or 'take away' - so good to have somewhere local that doesn't just have a 'standard' Indian menu - highly recommend
Awesome food 5 star, one of the best in Auckland
Totally recommend this local Blockhouse Bay restaurant and takeaway. We are regulars and love the food here :)
Just damn yummy food at a great price.
Ordered food for my daughter 1st birthday party and it was yummy.
Highly recommended.
Delicious!!! Had Kadhai beef, vegetable momos, biryani and naan last night - whole family loved it!
Will definitely be back! Lovely friendly service too, and all at a good price
dumping,Manchurian, noodles they guys are best
Great little restaurant with friendly helpful staff and a great menu. Loved the curry.
i hv been here first time it's amazing food .soon see u guys.
Awesome food. Great service. The momos were simply divine.
Delicious as!!! A wee bit pricey but the atmosphere and service is immaculate.
We have dined in and ordered take-aways (online and by phone) on multiple occasions. Never have we been disappointed, always delighted!
Just awesome food and awesome service love this place
We go here once a week! The kadhai chicken and seekh kebab are the closest to Delhi style in NZ.
The quality of food is pretty good
Four of us come here once a month for lunch. We all have different meals, and are never disappointed. The meals have been the same high standard each time we come.
My partner & I visited on Monday & it was worth travelling 30km all the way from Takanini. Decent environment & friendly staff. Excellent food quality & beautiful mango shake.
Not only food is delicious, Friendly and lovely restaurant to have meals with family. Service is great, best place to sit down and have meal in Blockhouse Bay.
Love for Indo Nepalese food is endless !! My personal favourite spot for the best Nepalese food in Auckland is Mt. Everest Kitchen , authentic and super delicious.
📸👉 Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Manchow Soup, Chicken Lollipop, Chowmein
MANCHOW Soup is a must try !!
Amazing food always!
Our favourites are the goat curry, chicken jalfrezi, malai kofta and tandoori mushrooms.
Very consistent quality of food and we often order for parties!
Celebrated my best mate birthday with lunch at Mt Everest this afternoon. Entrees were Fish Tikka, Seekh Kabab Malai Chicken Tikka...each and every dish was simply brilliant. Ordered Tandoori Rotis n Veg Methi Mutter Paneer for Mains and loved it. As always Anil Owner/ Chef plus Restaurant Manager Guruv were hospitable and welcoming. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food and great service
Food was delicious and service always good . I loved the momos one of my favourite things of the menu. I would love to go back there again
Had some good food here it was cool as! Air conditioning was good short waiting times and since you can call to make an appointment there was already a table for us the presentation was also fabulous
One of the few options of Nepalese cuisine in Auckland. Been there once with my friend from Nepal and he said they offer a good version of their original dishes.
Well, I can't agree or disagree about that, but what I know is that it tastes good. Dumplings have a nice dough, and the sauces that come with the meat are great. Really worth trying.
Amazing food and good value. Ordered a naan and got 3 !!! Momos are great, biryani was lovely. Will be trying curries in future. Highly recommended
Eaten here many times (both takeaway and dine-in) always consistently good tasty curries! Love their nann breads. Gets busy on weekends for dine-in and takeaway orders - sometimes there is a delay on food being ready to pick up.
Mt everest is one of the best indian resto we have ever been! Their serving is huge and their chicken tikka masala is to die for! We eat here atleast once a week and i still crave for it everyday! Good customer service as well. Recommended to all.
Small place with good Nepalese and Indian food options comes with great taste.Much awaited this one was. Managed to get a table for 4 of us after half an hour on a Sat night. Ordered Paneer tikka, chicken tikka, Veg chowmein noodles, veg fried rice, Goat Curry (Bone Inn) with 2 bottles of coronas. Appetisers were great. Goat Curry with bones inn could not be more authentic. Best goat curry I have had in a while now. One should order Veg chowmein n veg fried rice medium coz my frnds ordered hot n they regretted it :D
Great food. One must try. Price wise its good but Goat Curry portion could be slightly more. Would not hesitate if getting a second chance to visit this place.
We went to Mt Everest Kitchen for lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I guess this place is really quiet for weekend lunches and probably is packed by dinner time. Between my husband and I, we ordered the chicken momos, chicken fried rice, goat curry and chicken chow mein noodles. The food didn't take very long to start rolling out. We had asked for everything to be "medium" spicy and it was perfect. The momos were definitely a standout and were served with a wonderful sauce. For both the fried rice and chow mein, the serving sizes were pretty generous. There was still half of the chow mein left by the time we were full, so the gentleman who served us kindly packed it for us to take home. I particularly loved their goat curry, which is served bone-in.. the sauce was light and tasty and the meat was tender and succulent. I'd recommend everyone to try the dishes from the Nepalese section of the menu because these are all excellent
Always consistent, love the veg momo's but it was nice to try something new this time and have the lamb jalfrise - it was fabulous. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
Best chicken momos i ever had got the exact indian flavour hmmm my mouth is full of water..... highley recommended to all my indian momo lover friends.......
Awesome momos/dumplings & Nepali dry appetizers(perfect cider food for me); great portion sizes; very good Nepali food/its their specialty & a bit different than Indian food but along those lines/flavors.
This place was packed! On a Tuesday night, which is always a good sign. I got just takeaways, and was pleasantly surprised!
Very good curries, lovely flavours and the naan is the best I've ever tried! It's not too thick and not all dry and bulky like others I've tried, it's amazing and buttery and slightly crispy.
Extremely good curries, would definitely come again, lots of seating so could possibly try a sit in meal next time.
Indo-Chinese food is great full of flavours. Chicken friend rice with Manchurian is the best pick. I have also enjoyed their goat curry in the past. Service is great although not an ideal place to dine-in, takeaway is the best option here. Please try their chicken dumplings also.
Menu spread is great and exciting. The momos(dumplings) were the best tasting and reminded me of the Tibetan village food. The spices in the dishes was a great blend and the cook appears to be very skillful. Authentic Indian/Nepalese food. Be aware food can be a bit on the hotter side. Very popular with everyone
Highly recommended
Very nice meals, been there a few times and the food has always been very tasty. Really enjoy their Lamb Saagwala ❤
Usually go there for dinner, but had a takeaway lunch today and they give you a free papadum which I think is really nice 👍🏼
Love this place! Go there all the and some of the best Indian food I have ever had! Service is always pretty quick and so is delivery. Would recommend this place to everyone!
This place is seriously delightful :) It has some unusual dishes compared to normal Indian places - under the Nepalese section in the menu, although there's not that many different items than a general Indian restaurant. Everything lamb and goat was fantastic - especially the Nepalese Goat Curry ! Other curries - saag paneer, lamb curries were both delcious. Their curries are a bit sweet, but not overly so. Naan was also delicious and generous, although the Nepalese Momo weren't that exciting to me- seemed a little bland but I have never had authentic style so not sure what they're usually like. It is a step up from many other Indian places around Auckland. It gets pretty full especially on Mondays when all curries $11.99 (a great day to test out one of the more expensive options) so I suggest you book or get takeaway and eat at a nearby park. Yum - one of my favourite Indian(ish) places in Auckland.
Excellent food with superb service , Ajita Rocks 👍👍👍👏👏👏, very friendly & Momos too good , Malia kofta unbelievable, open till late in weekend
Got takeaways from here last night. Best curry we have had in ages. We ordered the Manchurian chicken, the Kadai lamb, and the chicken Momo. All were delish! You could really taste the whole spices and fresh coriander. The Curry also wasn't full of cream like most places. The wholemeal roti and free popadoms were also yummy. We will be back!
Ended up discovering this place randomly while exploring blockhouse bay. Tried chicken noodles and navratan korma. The korma was not too spicy even though we'd requested it to be but the noodles stole the show. They were simply awesome and very delicious.
They have a great place to sit and the staff is pretty friendly.
Suggestion to the management: hire more staff if possible for speedy services had to wait longer for the order
Order delivered takeaways from hear quite regularly. Beef mushroom masala is delicious. Delivery is fast. Not a fan of the momos but have liked all the curries I've tried so far.
Been here twice. Their chicken fried rice. Holy cow. Best around. The chicken dumplings also good comes with a dip bt too mch masala in dumpling for my taste bt still sorta tasty. Cheap eats. 👍🏻
Love this place! A very tiny restaurant where the staff members really care about their customers and that's what makes the entire experience more memorable.
As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with water and poppadams!
The food here tastes great. We ordered one Chicken tikka, Palak Paneer, Butter Chicken and normal combination of naan's. Everything was cooked to perfection. Food was brought to the table on time and the service was nice.
I'll return back to try the famous Nepalese momos next time.
Hidden surprise in blockhouse bay. It is more like a takeaway then a fine dining restaurant. Saying that the ambiance is pretty good. But it's a small place and might make you feel a bit cramped. Food is great. Momos are something you don't want to miss. We dined in on Friday and they were very busy with takeaway but still were served well.
The food here is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! The best lamb sagawala and beef korma I have ever had in my life. I really love the pokoras and recommend ordering raita and tamarind sauce to accompany the curries! The texture and flavours are just amazing. Will upload photos when I visit next.
They also do home delivery. This place is a hidden gem. Must try if you live locally.
Had never realised this wee restaurant was tucked away amongst the shops until I heard recommendations and decided to try it out. Had takeaways from here last week and enjoyed it. I loved the fact that you can order online and choose your pickup time, and also have the option of paying online or when you pickup. They also had 10% off first order as well as other little deals. They also do delivery for $3 so that is fantastic! Their popadoms were delicious. I had butter chicken, medium - that could've been slightly spicier but the chicken was cooked beautifully. My husband enjoyed his butter prawns. Although very small, the restaurant was clean and inviting with friendly staff; I'd definitely go back to eat in or takeaway. Great to have found this yummy place and looking forward to trying more dishes from here.
A hidden jewell in the by.
Ordered the platter to share for two. Delicious food and very generous potions. Also ordered the dried chilli chicken 10 out of 10 for this dish.
Their goat curry is absolutely scrumptious and amazingly tender.
The lamb jalfrezi is equally as good.
For food this good the price is ridiculously low.
The only criticism is perhaps the decor, but hey we came to eat the food.
Will definitely be back.
We traveled from California to spend time with friends who live walking distance from this gem. When we asked them to pick one of their local favorite spots to eat at, this was at the top of their list.
This Nepalese/Himalayan restaurant has authentic flavor with honest service. They are busy...a good thing. Offering free delivery on orders over $30 and with substantial takeaway traffic, the lone front of house hostess/server is still on point and the beautifully seasoned, perfectly spiced dishes arrive in a timely manner. Service is attentive in all the right places and the food, well, it is a treat.
This is the type of local, hole in the wall spot that everyone should have in their neighborhood. It is on our list to return to when we travel to this part of the world again.
Recommendations: Dry Chili Chicken and Himalayan Goat Curry - two of the best dishes you may ever eat.
My partner and I decided to stop by after work last Thu. Menu was interesting with lots of dishes to choose from. I suggest trying something from the Nepalese selection. For entre we ordered the spicy lamb dumpling and the stuffed tandoori mushroom. Both were rich in exotic flavours and delectable. The only criticism of the dumplings was that the pastry was too thick. We had a spicy chicken and the specialty lamb dish. Great flavours. I really loved the lamb. And being BYO makes it more enticing.I look forward to returning and trying some of the other sumptuous sounding dishes.
Great food! Very pleasant and most helpful service as we surveyed their Nepalese specialities. Atmosphere clean and tidy, what more could you wish for. In quiet Blockhouse Bay. Our first visit tonight, but it should become our regular, as it has a very good balance of indian and ethnic Nepal cuisine, wonderful! Even a glass of Nepalese rum to enjoy. Recommended!
Out-of-the-world keema nan.

Best curry and biryani restaurant
Must try biryani.
We order 25 naan and a veg stuff last night. Tht was really tasty and naan still the same soft till morning and taste is is same as fresh. Good job
I was so excited to see a curry house open in Blockhouse Bay. And Mt Everest doesn't disappoint. It describes itself as Indian-Nepalese. The Nepalese dishes are restricted to goat curry, fried rice, chow mein and dumplings (momo). I've only tried the veg dumplings which are very good! Other than that, I've ordered Indian takeaway a number of times and it's always been very tasty indeed. Recommended!
Excellent currys, we had butter chicken, lamb choyla and lamb madras. All very enjoyable, unique flavours especially the choyla as we had never tried Nepalese. Will definitely go back. Or not! Delivery locally is free, must remember that for next time.
This is one of the secret restaurants of Auckland. Every dish is perfect and the food is awesome. I believe its the only Indo- Nepal restaurant in Auckland . Excellent variety and good enough quantity. The best thing is their spice variation. Even if you order something spicy it is indeed spicy and not filled with Chilli powder.
The dumplings are great and really soft wish we could get more for that price.
Cozy little place on Blockhouse Bay road. When it comes to the food, its largely the normal Indian menu. But there are a few Nepali items on the menu. What caught my attention was the Momo. This is a rare form of meat/vegetable dumpling popular in Nepal, Tibet and parts of North East India (the main difference between these is the types of soup/sauce served in the different regions). The Momo they served was actually good and I will go back for the same. The service was prompt and friendly and the price and portions were okay too. Space could be an issue as it is a small place with about 6 tables. So it will help if you call before going. Definitely worth a try. RecommendedFood 4/5, Service 4/5, Price 3.5/5, Location 3.5/5
Good consistent tasty dishes here. Have dined in and also had takeaways. With the takeaway there is real attention to detail so you get all the sides just as if you dined in. Good service. Loved the chicken mono !
After reading the flyer and hearing the good reviews, there is no fault to this place. It was a great place to eat that was very yummy, cheap and friendly. The staff were very warm and efficient. Great asset to have in BHB!
Fantastic food and the curry isn't super oily like you get at some places - love that you can order online for home delivery.
It's a shame they stopped doing $10 mains on selected nights.
Ordered quite a few dishes to try Nepalese, no fuss home delivery, can't go wrong. Although it shows no home delivery on this site for some reason.
Great little place in Blockhouse Bay. I have eaten at a friends house when food was purchased from here but this is my first time ordering it myself. We ordered Chicken Momo’s, Butter Chicken mild, Madras chicken mild, chicken Schezuan noodles, butter naan’s. The only problem I had is the butter chicken. It was extremely sweet, like a dessert sweetness. The Madras chicken was very flavourful and so were the Momo’s. The schezuan noodles were amazing. Overall great food. We got rice and fried papadums included in our meal. Will definitely be back. Please less spice and not extra sugar in the BC. Thanks
My favourite place for momos 🥟 and lovely Nepalese Restaurant with delicious Northern Indian curries. Their fish tikka starter is the best 🤤
Friendly staffs, everyone of them. It’s hard to come across a good restaurant that is wholly worth the penny. This one is a gem in Auckland.
Authentic, tasty Indian and Nepalese cuisine. A must visit experience. Super fast service. High quality of meats served.
Oh I love it!
I didn't expect to this reaction before I stepped in the restaurant.
It is just a small family style eatery, no fancy decor, so simple.
My friend invited me to try and I thought it is an Indian restaurant. Turned out it is a Nepalese / Northern Indian one.
So we didn't order any ordinary foods you can easily see in any Indian restaurant.
The dumplings were just so beautiful!
Chicken chilli was absolutely fine.
This was beyond my imagination, so happy I came tonight!
Love this place. Food is excellent we tried their desert menu tonight. So different and delicious. Favorite dish Chilli Chicken gravy style. Very welcoming, They know you by name. Eat in or takeaway. Great local restaurant.
If you really want to have good Nepali food this place is a must visit. The taste, presentation and everything is beyond expectations. I tried all the varieties of their momos and they were scrumptious😋 . Also the lamb thing with flattened rice ( I forgot the dish name) was superb. I even took takeaway to have it later at home. 100% recommended 👌
My wife and I had lunch here and it was delicious. I had the Lamb Chilli Momo which were superb. The dumplings themselves were filled with a delicious lamb and herb filling, but the best part of the dish was the amazing sauce the dumplings where tossed in. It was an excellent balance of spicy and aromatic. Great food, friendly staff, warm environment, all in all a wonderful spot.
We went there for dinner and tried quite a few dishes. All dishes were really good. Thani who served us also provided a very good service. Easy to get to, excellent food and awesome service.
The tandoori momos offered by this restaurant is spectacular, by far the best Nepalese Indian cuisine I’ve had in New Zealand.

The food and mocktails were delicious! We particularly enjoyed the Chicken Schezwan Momos and Chicken Lollipops! Dhanichand was very hospitable and ensured that everything was to our liking. Thank you for making our outing special 😊
