Took a chance and winner, winner (Indian) chicken dinner. If you are passing through and looking for a fantastic Indian feast, highly recommended. Service was super efficient to boot which was helpful as we were mid-roadie.
We were actually looking for an authentic Indian restaurant and just by chance on the way to Highway we came across this wonderful restaurant. Very very authentic and tasty. We had Dal Tadka as well as Kasai Paneer. Both were excellent in taste. Gara van Bijendra Singh were of excellent service.

Always good. I have only had one complaint about naan bread which they fixed without issue.

Foind this place on an impulse, as we were filling up gas nearby. But my my what a delicious accident. Been all over nz and this place is among the best. The butter chicken was nice, I'd recommend Indian spicy. And get some garlic naan to go along with it. AND the mango lassi. You wont be disappoint
The place I usually pick up dinner was closed so I tried Aamod for the first time.
The rice was pretty ordinary but it was the best Chicken Jalfrezi I have ever eaten. Yum!
I am looking forward to trying more of their menu.
Just got the mango chicken (medium heat) and it was lovely. Good value for $ and it was yummy!!! Will visit again
We ordered Korma with Lamb and cheese & garlic Naan. Both are very delicious and filling. The rice is moist and stringy cheese Naan is fantastic.
Would have given a 5 star rating on the service yet it took me 3 attempts to get the spice level right (I'm one of those guys that looooves a really hot curry.) 3rd attempt perfecto 👌 and yummy az. 😋 Definatly going back again now. Thanx Aamod. (Had the chicken vindaloo)
Passing through on our way to Whakatane we booked into a local lodge for the night. Hosts recommended most eateries in town.
Taking account on previous reviews, we were not disappointed. The food was scrumptious! We enjoyed the entire meal including the mango lassi. I would definitely dine here agai
Good food. Attentive & kind staff, even though they close at 9:00pm they let us dine in at 8:45pm without a fuss & served us with the utmost level of kindness & courtesy. Will surely be back next time. Highly recommended for travellers who drive by bulls at night :)
Stopped in here on a big drive after reading reviews. Got a Bombay Aloo which was amazing and probably the best I have had. Lovely service and it was a quick takeaway service after a long drive. Highly recommend to anyone passing by, I will be back if I am ever back in the area!
One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to . And I have been to many , not just NZ but overseas as well . Servings are generous , flavours are top notch , and they get the spice levels absolutely right. I plan my trips to ensure I arrive at meal time :)
Good curry. Tikka Masala medium hot needed more spiciness so I asked if they can make it a bit spicier. Absolutely no hassle they made sure I was happy with it afterwards.

We were traveling though Tuesday 10/Jan 2023, and my husband & myself were treated to a beautiful experience at Aamod's, we had BUTTER CHICKEN 🐔 WITH RICE 🍚 and Naan which was full of flavor 😋 and wasn't disappointed at all. I get my Indiana takeaways from Aamod. Never actually eaten in the restaurant although I'm sure it is nice. The ambiance is ok. Abit stark but the food makes up for this. Staff are really nice and the food is good, everytime I get takeaways. Recommend highly
