Piknic Cafe - Castor Bay - Photo album

Delicious food & great service. I was blown away on their prices too, so competitive compared with the current market. Their kids' menu is just $8, for example. Very good value for the money. I truly enjoyed the Italian Lady & French toast dishes, and the cappuccino was made to perfection.
Cute little Café with takeaway-options. Very close to the beach and pretty much one of the only localities in Castor Bay. Dog-friendly: Hooks for dog leashes and water-bowls. Seating options outside and inside. A little bit too expensive though.
The first confusing thing about this place is that there are two entrances. One entrance (across from the parking area) leads to the sit down cafe while the other (The bit that looks like the bottom of an L) looks to be a takeaway area for coffee, salads and other baked goods. Fairly busy for lunch
Good cafe in prime position - being the only one in the vicinity of the lovely Castor Bay. Up to the mark cafe fare though expensive and indoor area cold in the cooler months. Think the exterior lets the place down somewhat too - a fallen down sign, weeds, cheap looking wall planters and peeling p
French toast was beautifully presented, delicious and generous. Great value especially compared with others I’ve had lately which have been expensive and boring with very few ingredients on the plate
I really like the petite option they offer for solo eating. Quite spacious eating area and quite tasty.
Eaten brunch here a couple of times. Eggs bene and avo on toast. Good both times. Has become a regular stop for a coffee and cake after a dog walk. There are 2 doors, so ordering and counter food is done in the back corner. You can then walk outside to the diner and take a seat. Makes for a nice qui
Wow, this place is tops... even having my long black ready and waiting even in advance of my reaching the counter👍
Easy parking. Great food, friendly staff. There is plenty of seating inside or out.
Been here several times with groups amd individually cabinet good always good with good easy options at an affordable price. Coffee and milkshakes are worth the stop to enjoy will gobavk again several times on my way to Milford orarpund the bays
What a lovely little cafe located so close to the beach, you don’t find many standalone cafes not located near other shops open on a Sunday!! Yummy selection or order off the menu, this is our new favourite Sunday spot.
Absolutely love this cafe. They are very kind and caring, remember you when you go in, just lovely people with amazing drinks!
Modern, refreshing and has its own unique flare. Small but great for a stop on a morning walk for a bite and coffee. Coffee is good but some of the cabinet food can be priced high
Great to have such a good little cafe back at Castor Bay again. Lovely owners and delicious home cooked food. Tucked back from the main road with a few car parks or park near the beach.
Great coffee and delicious treats! It is a wonderful, dog-friendly café with both indoor and outdoor seating close to the beach along Beach Road. Just far enough from Takapuna to escape the crowds and well worth the quick drive or even quicker bike ride. This place may be a new favourite place!
Great service - even better coffee! the barista was outstanding! Will be back
Always important to support local business in these times, and that is made significantly easier with the great service and kind nature of the workers. ALWAYS greeted with a smile. The food is also amazing!! Would highly recommend the blueberry smoothie.
