Great food... Good quality.. The staff are amazing.. Explain very clearly about each dish, and hospitality is awesome.. The ambiance of the restaurant is one of the best in Christchurch. We tried the first table offer and it was a great experience. Will definitely go back again.
Went in to the bistro for lunch. Beautiful place to eat and the service was great.
I ordered the steak and asked for it to be cooked medium rare- unfortunately it came out medium- but ultimately the entire meal was good from a taste pov- Will definitely visit again. The chef was even kind enough to offer us a free dessert
Dined at the Bistro, and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing - the service was good. I think an extra person to help would have been better, but overall- it was awesome - ps: to the lady that promised me the Christmas music would stop after a while > you lied š¤£ I head 'Last Christmas" - like 4 times š
An awsome place to experience fine dining surrounded by a lovely ambiance. Choose how many courses you'd like and you can wine match if the extensive wine and cocktail list doesn't suit.
Top presentation of all the dishes and the flavors complemented each other, nothing was over powering or tasted out of place. Top marks to the chef.
Our waiter was very helpfull, professional and knowledgeable explaining each dish in great detail as they were bought out.

The service was amazing, they offer to take your coat and also pull out your chair for you. Every dish was explained with great detail. Not only did the food taste good, the presentation of the food was beautiful.
I went there to celebrate my birthday and I couldnāt have chosen a better restaurant ! The attention to detail and the service was impeccable. Atmosphere was amazingly peaceful. The service was incredible and so was the food. A lovely meal out overall. Music was lovely although I did go with my great Aunt who is hard of hearing so it was a touch loud for her.
We have celebrated a couple of wedding anniversaries here and have done so with the degestation, this time we did the nine course which was pretty close to taste bud nirvana. Front ambience, to staff interaction, this is a special place for a special occasion.
Celebrating anything at this gorgeous restaurant will be memorable. We chose the 9 course menu and every plate was quality with a delicious surprise. The service was impeccable and the attention to detail flawless. Best in Christchurch!!!
The dining space at the back was fancy and perfect for a romantic night out/ special occasion. We had 9 course degustation menu. Overall good experience, with nicely presented food and friendly service. The portion of each course was rather small but with 9 courses itās more than enough for us to feel satisfied. We enjoyed the salmon, lamb and desserts. We also found that the wine selection was a bit limited.

I had done a little bit of research of nice places to eat around Christchurch for my short visit and for my final night I chose Chillingworth Road, they did not disappoint.
Only a short car, or in my case bus ride out of the CBD (I like to travel on PT in new cities) had me at the door to Chillingworth Road a few minutes before my reservation.
A warm welcome and I was whisked off to the curtained off dining room, given an explanation of the menu (I was having the degustation) and I was left with the drinks menu, I chose not to have wine pairing given I had an early start the next morning, but would likely go for it on future visits.
What followed was a delightful 2 hours of attentive service, delicious food and a couple of lovely wines. There was not anything I would fault and I left completely satisfied.
I took my partner here for her Birthday, yes itās expensive but the food is delicious and worth it. Probably the best āfine diningā experience we have had in New Zealand. We got the 7 course menu and felt pretty satisfied afterwards
Chillingworth Road is THE best restaurant in Christchurch!!! So good that you'll forget you even had the entertainment book voucher. Money well spent!!! I love that they're not located in town! Great place for any special occasion.
Fantastic meal. Had the 9 course degustation menu. Every course was delicious. Guri was our waiter and was also excellent. A very enjoyable experience and weāll be back.
Wifey and I were instantly relaxed, then spoilt rotten as the attentive staff spent the next two hours presenting us with incredible courses that blew us away. Terribly decadent and expensive but very good value given the whole experience. Well done, youāve now made almost every other restaurant weāve been to look dismal and sub par!
