Havent been for a few years and still an outstanding cafe, great food, great service and big portions. This is becoming increasingly hard to find these days, will be back soon. Well done team - Chris

Had brunch here on a cold and sunny winter morning, the outside seating ww were at was blocked by a sunshade which was a shame. Food looked great and daughter enjoyed most of her kids meal (especially the chocolate cake :)) Parking can be an issue as there's only a small car park so it's mostly off street parking. Love the exterior setting but do wish there was more inside seating for the cooler days and months.

This was THE BEST mushroom on toast I’ve had. Ever. Whoever was the chef rostered on today absolutely ruined me for anything less than the quality, consideration to making such a fine meal. We waited a little longer than usual for our food, but in all honesty, I would happily wait for that level of quality and mastery. I know I’m sounding over the top, but I hope you get to experience what I had. Thank you so so much 🙏🏽 pro tip, a side of Salmon goes down a treat.

Been here many times, always really good food and service. It is especially good on warmer days when the outdoor area can be used. Very homely food and sweet treats from the cabinet!

I have only heard good things about this place. Granted I didn't try the food here but my sister raves about the Seafood chowder. Caramel latte was absolutely yum. Will come by again. Also a plus that this Cafe is dog friendly, the batista even gave a wee dog treat for free. Lovely service.

Outstanding cafe located near Christchurch City. The raw heritage building offers great character to the cafe. Service are great and foods are very yummy. I always order the coffee in the bowl, so extra kick to it. One of the popular dish is their seafood chowder. Yummy and highly recommended.

Fantastic place. Had been recommended by a friend who used to live near, the brunch was delicious, the staff very friendly, and the courtyard is adorable. The day did turn a bit more cold than I'd planned for, but they had crocheted afghan blankets available that you could drape over your shoulders while you dined outside. Excellent standard of care, would love to go again.

Fantastic place having just arrived from the airport my daughter took me there for lunch. I had a bacon 🥓 and kumara quiche and long black coffee. Tucked in a suburban setting with house's around. Away from other shops but was well patronized and well known. Would recommend this Cafe highly.

"Under The Red Veranda" Cafe is simply ..... "EPIC" We had the "Eggs Benedict" and the "Fish (Gurnard) both were AMAZINGGGGGG. We also took the "Duck Liver Pate" and a loaf of "Foccasia" bread home. Coffees were spot on too! This is Christchurch''s Best!!!!!

I visited the cafe today and it became one of my favorite spots for breakfast&lunch in the city. Food itself is good enough, everything tasted nice. Service was very friendly and fast! The toilet was very clean. I like that they use own stuff that they grow in the garden, such as micro greens. I will definitely go back to try more in the future.

After walking-in twice and not being able to get a table, we pre-booked and we're so glad we did. It is very popular during the weekends, so you should pre-book so you don't miss out (esp. on a nice sunny day). Once we were settled in, we ordered coffee and brunch. The oat pancakes and big breakfast were delicious and still hot. We did overhear that it may be a 45 min wait for food/coffee however our order came out quickly. Moving from Melbourne, we have never seen a "bowl" as an option for coffee sizes, so we gave it a go. It's $6, and it was worth it for us. The wait staff are friendly and the vibe is comfy and fresh. Definitely reminds me of Brunswick. Would definitely be coming back.

Fantastic place for lunch, always book. 😁 Has indoor and outdoor seating., in summer the walls are rolled up and indoor also becomes outdoor. Get a takeaway coffee and muffin for morning tea. Dog friendly!

Honestly a super cute, busy place, was very lucky to have got a seat outside, upon going for a smoke across the road we notified the waitress we would be back and she was happy and even covered our food from the birds! Great menu selection and great coffee. Service was always with a smile
