The Bog Irish Bar & Restaurant - Christchurch - Photo album

Vibrant Irish pub well located in the city. Happy hour 5-6. Saw a fun Irish band. No cover. We did not eat here, but locals told us the roast is very good. The portions looked hearty. Staff was awesome and provided suggestions. They pour a nice pint of Guinness and the Kilkenny was delicious a
No trip away is complete without an Irish bar, The Bog is exactly what you would expect, warm, friendly and Irish, if you're after a large meal then this place ticks that box. Live music which gave a great atmosphere and was never too busy.
Always great Guinness :-) The food and service weren't as good as they have been historically though, unfortunately. The staff used to bend over backwards to give great service, but not so much any more, they seemed quite nonchalant. We'll always stop by for a beer, maybe not so much food.
Going to the bog was a fairly spontaneous decision made because we wanted to try something new and it was a great decision! We were made welcome and shown to our table promptly. They had a great atmosphere, it had a very fun, vibrant pub feel. The music was good and upbeat but a little on the loud
Great decision, came here as walking past, great live music, the food was really good, and bar staff were awesome, great cocktails! Not bad for a pub! Pretty impressed really..
Good place for beers! It's a typical Irish pub, they have the Guiness and the Kilkenny on tap. Lots of ex-pats stop in so you can find some interesting people here. Being Canadian I always see other Canadians which makes me feel at home.
Top spot for a beer. Turned up on Monday night fresh off the plane and received excellent bar service in a warm and friendly environment. Irish duo were playing, which added to the great atmosphere.
Went to watch the Women's FIFA CUP FINAL. Was a great game and Spain certainly had a great game and deserved the win 🙋🙋🙏🙏
We dined at lunchtime and had a great time! Good service, lovely meals, nice atmosphere and superb beers. The Butchers Block (sirloin steak) was brilliant!
That was the very first experience of ours at "The Bog". And we do believe, that not the last one as well. Mostly its menu is about the fast food there. The food was not "over the moon", but not bad at the same time. (Didn't mean to hurt their Chef at all, but we've got plenty of splendid cuisine ex
We only stopped by for a drink as the menu was quite restrictive. Also they had a live singer on at the time and it wasn't conducive to dining out, as it was quite loud.
Great fun night. Food was excellent and huge meals, great atmosphere and we were lucky it was a Tuesday night, so had live music. The best guiness 🍻
Watched the tail end of Ireland Vs S. Africa, awesome game. atmosphere was really good. Staff were amazing. Pints at 9am, why not!
Great food. Awesome main with beer for 30 bucks. Irish band playing on stage were soo good and there were about 10 of them. Most importantly, the music wasn’t too loud like most pubs I’ve been to. Will be back. Prob tomorrow
Had a few ciders here. Nice warm atmosphere. Very relaxing. I'd definitely come again. Nice staff
A go-to spot since they opened. It's a regular hangout, especially on weekends with friends for some beer vibes. If you're on the hunt for an Irish pub, this place is definitely worth checking out!
Great service and everyone was really friendly, the food is amazing definitely recommend!!! We went on a busy night with the rugby on, it didn't effect the speed of the food service and the staff took great care of us. I highly recommend this place!
