The food are good, I ate the beef hamburguer ,was really good, the meat was juicy. I ate pasta too and it was good. They have Guinness, so the beer is excellent. The place is big and comfortable.
I had the fish and chips and the batter melted in your mouth it was perfect, gf had the steak and was very happy nice and medium rare and chips were perfect
Great atmosphere as we entered pleasant friendly staff & the meals were delicious.highly recommend.We will be back☺👍
Great place for a pub meal and a pint! Found on the northeast corner of the central business district, it’s popular with the locals and very convenient to the string of hotels on Bealey Avenue. We arrived mid afternoon and had our choice of tables but it was getting much more crowded by the time we left.
We had the $22 steak daily special, and it was delicious. It came stacked on fries with a sunny side up egg on top.
A local sitting at the bar had his dog sleeping peacefully under his stool.

I was here for dinner last night with a party of 7. I've been here a few times for events and it's always a challenge parking but the meals are generous and pretty good all round in terms of a menu to please a group.
It was quite busy however the food was really good, except the ribs starter (which had been recommended to us by a former employee actually). They were very cold, pretty tasteless and not good at all. However I give 4 stars based on the rest of the experience.
The staff, in particular Holly was really good at looking after us and making us feel that the 1 poor dish was not a reflection of the whole experience.
We'll definitely be going again.

Our brunch was just superb with my hubby. Lady staff was welcoming and helpful to have our table near the fireplace by cleaning the table for us as we liked the area. Not pricey, big portion, had our 10% discount as guest of The Bealey Lodge. And clean. Will be back again definitely. Keep up the good service guys 👍
Awesome meal on Saturday night. It was very busy but the staff did an awesome job and went out of their way to help and were lovely and friendly. I was impressed that they were happy for me to take a birthday cake, light the candles and bring it out at the right time with a knife, plates and cutlery! Thanks so much.
Great weekend away. Awesome spot for any group heading away. Great service, accommodation and food. Thank you Bealey Quarter, best all around accommodation and pub we've been too.
A great atmosphere with an excellent range of food and alcahol options
Our wedding function went off without hitch. Simon and his team were so accommodating to our wants and needs. An amazing grazing table then platters after with the bar - many compliments and no complaints
My favorite place to eat in CHCH. The pork belly is beautiful and makes you just want more, it was just so tender and juicy. It just went great with the potato. The drinks menu is good too.
I really enjoy eating here and will keep returning because it's just a good place to eat.
Cracker of a restaurant. Hump day cider, cracker day for it. Can't wait for meat raffle on Friday. 10/10 this place. Happy hamalitis day.
Brought a group of 22 for work xmas lunch - Simon was great to deal with, the front of house team ran like a well oiled machine, simple but well presented, hearty feed, great value for money for a $35 set menu. We had a few dif dietary requirements in the group too and they were all happy.
WE went for breakfast, on a Friday, the place was very quiet only one other couple in the restaurant part where we were.
I had the Salmon bagel and my husband had bacon eggs benne.
I've really got to say that I was very impressed with my breakfast.
Nicely toasted bagel and lots of smoked salmon, everything worked well on the plate the salmon and the spinach, cream cheese, capers and pesto, was the nicest breakfast I've had in a long time, so well done.
My husband said the bacon was very tasty but wasn't fussed on the sauce on his eggs.
Overall was very nice, we will be back.
Recommend booking if you're wanting dinner. Waiting time was a bit long but the customer service was great and had informed us on the wait. Great environment and yummy food.
Breakfast here this morning was amazing. And special thanks to gentleman behind the bar for making very good coffee (flat white with almond milk) 🙏
Sorry guys accidentally gave yous a 3 star rating staff were exceptionally awesome didn't have to wait to be served either very fast service nice relaxing setting, also some random guy came on the premises bothering us for a lighter and staff were very quick to Intervene and asked him to leave drinks were on point thanks again guys till next time
