Our first time there and it was a very pleasant experience.
Clean and spacious restaurant with a takeaway waiting section.
Food was on point, very yummy, but portion could be slightly bigger for the price charged per dish.
The service was excellent! Food was served in than 10mins after ordering.

First time dining here, authentic Chinese food. Amazing taste, clean environment and good service. Reasonable price to feed the family, will definitely go back again. The web site is up to date, the menu is available on the website.
My first visit but it will not be long until I return. The food was exceptional and great value for money. We were a table of 6 that had banquet A. We left with full bellies and memories of delicious flavours. See you again soon!

Have been back to China Kitchen, Papanui a few times since June, for lunch with family or to collect a takeaway.
Latest was beef fillet and vegetables with rice.
So yummy. Go try them for delicious, fresh Chinese food.

An excellent Chinese restaurant with a comprehensive menu and a pleasing wine list.
I had the Yang Zhou Fried rice - (barbecue Pork with Prawns) which was absolutely delicious,
and a glass of Astrolabe Charonnay.
Suoerb, fast and friendly service.
We knew it was a great choice when we walked in the

We go to The China Kitchen for lunch with my team from work and the food is always great and the staff super friendly.
Simply impeccable, the food here is quite good, the staff is as always, very busy, highly recommended to you, the price is also very reasonable, it is worth a visit!
Our Club had a luncheon here. Could not fault food,service,staff or atmosphere. My mouth waters just thinking about the food we were served. Thoroughly recommend The China Kitchen. You won't be disappointed.
I come here regularly and has never been disappointed. Good food and rather fast service if you come ealy enough so the kitchen is not too busy with the take aways. You get real chinese and asian food for good price.
The food is absolutely delicious!!! Very authentic and fresh. Full of flavour.
Staff are all very friendly and welcoming.
The only downside we found was that the dine in experience wasn't fantastic as the restaurant is so small. Its always busy because of how good the food is so its very very noise

When we feel like good Chinese food in Christchurch, our family always come here. The food is fresh and good quality. Great customer service from staff and owner Stella. She's a very hard working and friendly owner.
