-Probably one of the most value for money cafe.
-Their food items are priced very reasonably with good sized portions.

-During weekends it can get very very busy and you won't be able to find seats unless you come early or wait for one.
Great espresso , fried chicken waffles($25.5) are tasty , although on the expensive side for 3 bite size of chicken thighs .
A fantastic place to go for breakfast and a cuppa! Loads of area to dine in, a great cabinet selection and menu.

We found this place when we first got off our flight in to CHC, and are now coming back for lunch again because they were so good 🤤 had the salad and the stack of waffles today, all fantastic as usual! If you’re coming on a weekend I’d definitely try to book, as this place gets quite crowded at peak

Large group without reservation, no issues for these guys. Food was amazing and coffee perfect. All 12 meals came out within minutes of each other and no one person was disappointed.
We ordered the Eggs Benedict fried chicken and the apple spiced waffle. Both were delicious especially the fried chicken. The coffee was good!

Update: came back for waffles and chicken and we were not disappointed. Be sure to reserve a seat as strange bandit is popular and with reason.

Nice venue, great food. The Poke Bowl with the chicken was top class. Chicken wasn’t an option on the menu for this dish but they happily accommodated our request for it. Think it may end up as a choice now as it was sooo tasty.

We visited for brunch during the Christmas / New Year holiday period. Glad that we booked ahead for the 4 of us….we got the last table. The place was buzzing with families.

First time today at this cafe and wow, coffee was so good, I had another one. Breakfast was delicious, I had eggs benny with salmon, my husband had big breeky and my niece had vegetarian dish. Was beautifully presented. Waitress was friendly. Everyone who worked there was smiling.

Excellent coffee - probably some of the best I’ve had in Christchurch, with amazing food to go with.
They also played Sisqo - Thong Song, while I ate - and that made it a really good start to the day.
