Once again, you hit the spot!! In Christchurch for the weekend and have now visited Cuban twice. The cocktails are awesome as is the food....but you must try the ☆☆Banana Chimichunga!☆☆ I'm not a desert person, but this is to die for!!🙂
Well this place surprised me...not 1 for Mexican but came back 3 days in a row 😁the food was AWESOME 👌and the margaritas the bomb....and finishing the visit with the banana chimichunga AAA+
Changing to the flying burrito brothers but was able to order from the Cuban menu. Great staff, great food. Fabulous cocktails.

Really nice vibe. Very accommodating for groups as well. Also great to sit by the fire place on comfy couches. Great cocktails almost never have mint for mojitos though.
Food was wonderful, highly recommend this place! Cool ambiance as well. Reminded me of my visits to Baja California.

I really enjoyed the last night with my friends in The Cuban, the team is friendly and happy. I drunk my PISCOLA in Chilean Style and we ate amazing desserts.

Decor is pointless and clunky - like fire weapons and machine guns alongside symbols of Catholic religion. Whoever decorated the place has probably never been to Cuba or doesn't respect the culture of

Awesome staff, cuban bar has so much potential..I love the venue however I think you should play music outside to pull people off the street into the bar and maybe turn the lights on outside...aside from my thoughts on this, my group enjoyed the cocktails and had a good night.
The staff were really friendly. The food was delicious but one of our dishes was definitely on the small side for a main dish. We had to wait over an hour for our main course to come though.
With the abundance of hospitality outfits in Christchurch surely I am forgiven for not discovering this place sooner....the ambience, the decor, the food, the staff and of course the drinks too cannot be faulted.

Was a quiet Friday night... but must admit Rugby was on. Beautiful food and wonderful service!!! Recommend onion rings, they're to die for. I had the crispy chicken burger which came with wedges, was delicious. Will definitely return for more.
Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, interesting decor. The restaurant is called "The Cuban" but the food is more Mexican/Tex Mex style (tacos etc). They were playing classic salsa music when I arrived - I wanted to dance but there was no one there to dance with!
