If you find yourself coming to this place, expect a warm Filipino welcome! The staff had big smiles on their faces and they were able to elaborate what was on the menu.

I love the comfortable ambiance and the sitting arrangement makes it easy to navigate the place without crashing onto someone else’s elbow if you go to the loo.

The food choices were amazing and made me miss home. The distinct Filipino flavours were enhance in every dish. My favourite was the batchoy, which is a noodle soup with crispy pork pieces and spinach. It truly reminded me of my hometown.

Sari-sari Filipino Kitchen is a highly recommended dine-in spot in Christchurch.

Visiting Christchurch for the first time and was craving some Filo food tonight, couldn’t be bothered going out in the cold so I decided to order some via Uber Eats. I was so happy to see there’s 1 resto serving filipino food!

I had the Chicken Inasal with Garlic Rice, Atchara and Sinamak, and the Ube Pudding. What can I say? It was absolutely amazing!!! Their food brought me back to my home country, such authentic flavours. Chicken was perfectly cooked! Rice was beautiful and it was also a perfect portion for dinner. I had the Ube Pudding - I must say this is the best ube flavoured dessert I have had in NZ. The flavours were there exactly as they would taste like in the Philippines, but this was served with a twist. Loved it! I would probably recommend maybe adding or using sago/pearls instead of the nata.. it might work better for texture (or maybe that’s just my preference haha) but overall I loved it! No faults at all I must say. Food was served hot and fresh even if it was delivered from 10mins away.

Also I would like to comment on their great service, there was even a personalised little note on my order. Such a thoughtful little act. Thanks and kudos to the Sari-sari Team! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try authentic Filipino food, or is just missing a taste of home (like me) :)

*I didn’t get to take any more photos of my food because I was too hungry and just started eating! Whoops.

Hidden gem. Highly recommended. Husband and I ordered chicken Inasal (charcoal grilled chicken skewer)& side Pandesal (Filipino bun). I ordered Bicol Express (crispy pork in spicy coconut based curry) and a side bowl of soup. We both enjoyed the main meat dishes but not very much the sides of buns and soup. Soup was bland and plain. For $4, I wouldn't order again. Two small Pandesal buns was$3. Not worth that. Waitresses were friendly and attentive. We'll come back to try other food on the menu.

Been craving for real hot food. 😊 Service is amazing! Came in less than an hour before closing and service was fast with a smile. Definitely as real as it gets. The bagoong alamang was amazing. The sago't gulaman is a welcome surprise.

A hidden gem in Christchurch. Treat yourself to a spicy delightful taste of crispy pork with coconut milk. This is just one of their handful delectable Filipino cuisines.

Had lunch and dinner with these great people and wouldn't get tired of catching up with them all over again in Sari-Sari Filipino Kitchen. We first tried the Filipino inspired food over lunch and went back again for dinner. There's no hesitation that we definitely would recommend it to people in Christchurch. Imagine the rich flavour of a Filipino cuisine but with an infusion of New Zealand ingredients and in a great plating presentation. It just feels so good to see the diversity of this restaurant's food. Great work guys! Well done and keep it up 🇵🇭🇳🇿

Delicious food. This is a great place to try Filipino food if you’ve never had it before. The dishes are savory and the Halo Halo “milkshake”-like dessert is a must!

Definitely modernized Filipino cuisine, but is by far the greatest dine-in Filipino food experience for me. As a Filipino, this is usually where your comfort zone is. They absolutely nailed my favourite dish!! So beautifully made and handcrafted to perfection. Their desserts are awesome too, I love how perfect their leche flan is 🥺🥺 Price can be a tad bit expensive but it's super worth it. Definitely coming back!

In the heart of the busy central business district of christchurch, sari sari is offering different variety of Filipino cuisine with a mixture of some dishes that suites the taste of other nationality including kiwis. This restaurant is a good go to place for trying out Filipino foods, for they have several unique Pinoy loved dishes like sisig, karekare, sinigang and many more. Furthermore, this place is so accessible and near to places like the bus station, and supermarkets. Staffs are also uphold a high standard of service and a friendly demeanour. I really love their eat all you can menu tbh. But if I’ll choose my favourite dish it’ll be “karekare”

My family and i went here last week, and the food was very authentic (according to my Auntie who is Filipino). Their dishes were aromatic and flavoursome, and well sized. The lamb curry and hotplate pork dishes were especially delicious. The desert we had was like a panna cotta (a specialty of the Phillipines). We all decided we'd come back again.

I came to Christchurch for a holiday from Brisbane, Australia and was brought to Sari Sari by a friend to dine in. This is my first time ever trying Filipino food, and ill just simply put that this is probably my favourite restaurant to date. The food was wonderful. It is not something I would normally pick to eat but was not disappointed at all. Very tasty, great sized servings and just sooo good! On top of the amazing food, our waiter was awesome. We forgot to get his name but it is a new worker who is currently studying a Law degree. He is the type of waiter that every restaurant needs/deserves. Such a soft spoken, polite, and very nice guy who was very patient in talking to us about the different foods they had to offer. A big Thank you to this waiter and the chefs too!! ❤️ Can’t wait to come back to Christchurch to dine in again 😄❤️

Really good philipino food. We dined with friends and tried beef kare kare, pancit Canton with pork and prawn, bicol express and bengit ( crispy pork belly with sauce and vegetables). Everything tasted amazing. Well priced and the panda shake was phenomenal. So much on the menu we will need to return to try.

Me and my friends visited a filipino restaurant here in New Zealand for the first time and the experience was really awesome. The customer service was really great as well as the food. The waitstaff also gave us a free taste of all their ice cream flavours which we loved so much. We will definitely be coming back if we get to visit Christchurch again in the future. 😊👍
