is the chef a option? I wasnt satisfied with the food. I want a different type of medium rare.
The service was wonderful though! Next time offer the chef as a dish :)
We had lunch here .. got there at 12pm before a tour bus of people arrived so luckily we were finished our meal before that ... Plenty of choice ... Staff were lovely ... Great choice for a big party of people.
Family friendly buffet style restaurant. Excellent selection of food available. Well stocked and pleasantly presented. Food was not overcooked or left standing too long, dishes replaced when getting low. Highly recommended. Good prices.
Great classic buffet options, we went a little late I think, but most food was still available and being topped up. Lovely service, they just take your money and leave you to it! The atmosphere was a bit run down, but not in a gross way, just in the way where it looked a bit dated, but honestly, that's not a bad thing! The food was tasty, and loads of options! Didn't leave enough room for dessert either, but I still tried as much as I could!
I read through many reviews before going here and found a mix of 5 star and 1 stars. Decided to see for myself, took my family out, 2 adults and 2 children, Saturday night, worked out $119 all up. Kids are 4 and 7 and don't eat much but my hubby and I were hungry.
We enjoyed many dishes, they were all what you would expect from a buffet, youre going to enjoy some dishes and not others, we arrived at 6pm and everything was either full or being restocked.
The lasagne was piping hot and nice, as was the Mac n cheese and potato bake.
The roast meats were juicy, the boneless ribs or whatever those straps of beef,? were my favourite.
The mussels and prawns tasted and looked fresh, chilled on ice, and the cold salmon was nice. I loved the braised eggplant and pork belly.
Desserts were okay, the cabinets make it a bit messier to try to get things like the cheesecake, the apple pie and date pudding were good and the soft serve was a hit with the kids.
The wait staff clearing plates constantly working so hard and still managing a lovely smile.
Suggestions.. the desserts being at the front of the buffet make it hard to focus kids on eating their mains first and it felt backwards.
For the price you pay, soft drink would be reasonable to include.
We were there on a Thursday night, reasonably busy. The staff were friendly and efficent, quickly taken to our table and he told us how the buffet worked. Lovely lady behind the bar for drinks and complimentery water. Great selection of food, and they were continually bringing out more. Nice deserts as well as soft serve ice cream, also selection of cheese and crackers, tea and coffee. Staff quickly took away dirty plates and glasses from our table. Highly recommended.
Great service, great food. They did so well keeping the food topped up as we went during a very busy dinner night. The dessert, being my favorite part, was amazing with many choices. The only negatives I can think of is the atmosphere just being overall loud and packed but there is nothing you can do about that. The fact that it was so packed also only says good things about the establishment. The other negative would be the prices going up but you could probably write that off due to the current horrendous state of our economy.
Have always enjoyed the quality, variety of food and always found the staff eager to please, highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent service by staff. Very impressed by the bar tender and hus attention to detail. The restaurant was very busy but all staff were extremely efficient replenishing buffet, clearing plates from tables. No waiting in que for clean plates.
Would definitely recommend.

Decent selection of buffet food. Alot of fried food though. Desserts were good and there was a good selection including pavlova and ice cream machine. Quite expensive for what it is. Was over $40.
Really clean and beautiful seat up, really friendly staff all way smiles and clean a way dishes quick and replace food quality food soo yummy I go here at least 7 times a year
A variety of food choices from around the globe. The amount is plentiful and it keeps coming. You get the bang for your buck.
Food and service is amazing.. it's our go to place for dinner.. 😀 Wide selection of yummy food and deserts.. it's a must go place if you haven't been there yet. You will not be disappointed..
We had a dinner reservation for Sunday 11 June at 5.30pm. Our table was available until 7pm, which is more than enough time to make your dinner, dessert, coffee, tea, cheese & cracker selections etc.
I would highly recommend making a reservation online, as this seems to speed up the process of getting into the restaurant.
There's plenty of parking there. I would recommend turning up 15 minutes early as this is a really popular place, so there can be long queues to wait in (at times). You pay at the counter before you go into the restaurant.
There's so much food selection there. They cater to lots of people's tastes (see my photos to get a basic idea).
The restaurant staff are always friendly & they frequently clear plates from your table. If you want second or more helpings then just get a clean plate & utensils etc. & help yourself.
Free bottles of water can be collected from the bar. You can order & pay for soft drinks, alcohol etc. from the bar or at your table.
My family think that this is the best buffet in Christchurch. I've had some good/average visits here in the past. However, on this occasion all of the food that we selected was delicious & the service was great!
The pork crackle was really popular & everyone seemed to have swarmed in at the whole salmon within 10 minutes of opening. The steam pudding was in what appeared to be a caramel sauce. With a scoop of custard & ice cream it was the dish of the night for me - absolutely delicious!
I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant.
