Sadly I didn’t take a picture of when I visited here so took a photo as I walked past this morning.
That was an epic hokey pokey ice cream, holy moly!
Highly recommend this on a hot day.

No visit to Christchurch is complete without an ice cream at "Ice Cream Charlies". As a long established business in Christchurch, the service and quality are professional and consistent.
An iconic part of Christchurch city. This is the first time I have visited since has had new owners. Great to see the new has maintained the character of the old. And the main event, Charlie's Ice Cream is still the same.
This place is great!! The staff are super friendly and nothing is too much of a problem for them to do. They really keep the memory of 'Charlie' alive. The vanilla ice's with raspberry and cream are a delight. Stopping here on an ocassional trip to the city brings back so many memeories from the ear
Love love love ice cream Charlie's. Icecream just like my nana made with raspberry syrup. Eat it while watching the world go by. Cone or tub free choc chips yum
Such yummy ice cream and delicious classic raspberry sauce! Wonderful customer service too. Highly recommend and definitely will be buying it again :)
$1 a scoop..I love these as a treat however they've just had another price increase.. p.s. Not if, but when you eat one of these and you get brain freeze.. push your tongue up to the roof of your mouth and hold it there. It should go away straight away.

A Christchurch institution! An absolute must when wandering through town. Make sure you get the raspberry sauce with cream and chocolate chips - you will not regret it!!

Open everyday over summer weather permitting. Had two containers of vanilla ice cream with Raspberry was so yummy.
Same traditional yummy icecream. Not sure about the additional sauce flavours, but the original thin raspberry sauce has the classic Charlie flavour.
Christchurch classic and well worth the visit on a hot summers day. Would like to see their tralier fixed up a bit but that does affect the vanilla ices taste 😉
Great icecreams. Prefer the chocolate sauce to the raspberry. Also good coffee with very friendly service.🤗👍
