this was the fifth time we were here. foods always yum, especially must try joining quiz night here once. my favorite restaurant in chch!
A couple of Aussies looking to kill some time, where else would we go but the local? Had a great time chatting and drinking with some of the locals. Super friendly place and the alcoholic lemonade is a little bit too good. Thanks for making us feel welcome.
Group of 5 of us out to lunch. We have been before so was good to go again. 2 of our group had the fish and chips which was declared to be very nice, lovely batter on the fish. 1 had schnitzel which had a good tasting gravy served on the side along with salad and fries and that also was delicious. Other 2 had filo one the entree dish and the other vegetarian, both had cream cheese as part of the filling and were very nice.
We had lunch there today which was a very pleasant experience . The meal was roast pork and apple sauce with a lot of vegetables, all perfectly cooked and presented. This was $20 and included a pint of beer or a glass of house wine. Outstanding value! We sat outside in the nice courtyard and had very good service. Thankyou!
Nice atmosphere, good menu, good drink prices. Definitely go on the Tuesday for the discounts.
Edit 1: the menu here is great, the fish and chips was delightful & the steak sandwich was on point. I recommend the Doris plum pudding too.

This restaurant/bar really is a treat to discover from the lovely decor to the very amazing food that was cooked for us ! A very nice and delicious meal was had and I would highly recommend a visit to this establishment and try the ribeye steak with mushroom sauce 😋
Best meal I've had in a long while! I love lambs fry and this was cooked to perfection! Staff were lovely too
Waitress was very lovely. Both waitress and chef were super understanding and accommodating to my allergies and intolerances. The outdoor seating area is beautiful also, perfect for any nice day or night

Was a great experience as was the first time I had been there. I had the venison and my partner had the steak meal both were cooked well and we're both enjoyed. Would recommend you give them a try if you are in the area.

Delightful waitress service a little bit slow but appreciate only one waitress on, I like coffee requiring syrups and not available that was disappointing

Good range of beers on tap, but only 1 dark. Had a very good night that was made even better when I won a meat raffle.
