First time ordering. Had chicken saag, Rogan Josh, garlic naan and lamb samosa's for $30. This was good food. The person who took out takeaway order was very good and patient. Food was good. Lamb samosa's was huge and garlic naan was soft and garlicky. Will order again.
Awesome food. One of the best indian restaurants that I've been to. Definitely the best naan breads; fluffy, soft, tasty, cooked in a tandoori. Friendly staff.
My new favourite Indian takeout! The customer service is always exceptional. Phone service always so friendly and polite and you are always greeted with a smile in store. The food is absolutely delicious, have never had any bad criticism. My partner and I will continue to be regulars at this store!
Good food for best price. Owner cooks himself and is an accomplished chef. Best Indian curries you can find in town. Staff is happy to customize per your likes. I go there quite often.

This was delicious. A lot of Indian places I have tried in CHCH are all watered down and bland. The food from Royal Tandoor had a fantastic consistency. It could use a little more heat but that's not a major. The food is still delicious and flavorful. I throughly enjoyed the Lamb Saagwala and the onion bhajees are my absolute favorite š
Wow this place is amazing. Lamb was tender - properly braised and juicy. Great spices and good value for money. Naan fresh and flavourful. Support this local gem.
Mini combo- I tried mino combo today, meal was delicious and cost $15. Will try again. (My meal was Kadai paneer as curry, 1 naan, rice and drink can).
Best Indian naan breads in town, good value and bigger in size as well. They made their cheese and garlic or any other naan generously. I was so impressed with their food. I havenāt tried curries yet but will try soon. They are cheap as well. Highly recommended. Thanks Royal Tandoor for that delicious and fresh cheese and garlic naan/ aloo kulcha.
Without a shadow of a doubt the best tandoori chicken in town, at a price that would make you embarassed to ever go to KFC again. Seriously guys keep up the good work and ill never buy from any other curry place in town. I live across town and would still order from Shirley Royal Tandoor every time. Also the mango lassi, unbeatable.
This place is absolutely amazing food is always hot and cooked perfectly. Amazingly seasoned and not overly sweet like other places . Love this place couldnāt recommend it enough!!
I've had a few of the dishes here and all have been pretty good. The lamb Madras stands out as one of the best curries I've ever had. Excellent naan bread and the entrees are good as well. Highly recommended.
One of the most consistent curry takeaways we have found for Friday night curry with friends. We have been though a few indian takeaways in the area, but these guy are always on time for pickup, food is always full of flavour (assume spice to be on the higher side of what you order), ordering over the phone can have a little language barrier but we can live with that for good food.

I ordered butter chicken via Uber eats, arrived super fast. Tastes like authentic India food, itās creamy and buttery, naan is perfection and Raita is delicious , 0 complaints such good value for the price , probably the best place to buy Indian in Chch, and Iāve tried many restaurants

If you're after some good, classic Indian this place is all good. Standard menu, maybe not as high quality as some places around chch, but it's just Indian right, It does't need to be all fancy and come in a golden bowl with jasmine, steamed rice! it's just good, comforting Indian. And the prices are a lot better too.
