Got the pork bone ramen, great flavor, not salty, nice oil layer on too, seasoned perfectly. Noodles had a nice texture. Egg was near perfect Also tried the pork on rice, very delicious, great portion, juicy sweet pork. The shop it's very interesting, like a flying saucer. Very Interesting

Great texture, big portion. The tonkotsu was a little too salty. Both a bit oily as well. But they are both flavourful and worth trying!

My wife and I have eaten here thrice and the experience has never been disappointing. The pork bone ramen tastes almost like the ramen I had when I was still in Asia. We'd definitely come back here especially when the nights dip below zero.

Amazing food, great value for the price. Kind and polite staff especially the guy has curly hair. I can't believe that the other review says something bad about him. We'll definetly come back! Thank you very much!

Quick service. Sat down, ordered and served within about 15mins. Probably had been there less than 30mins total. Was about half full at 530, so make a reservation or come at opening time. Less than 20 seats available until its fully booked. You can't sit at reserved seats, so even though the place looks half empty, it's got people coming eventually. I had the pork bone ramen, the pork would basically fall away in my mouth. Cooked well. The ramen noodles are thinner than regular 2 minutes, sadly. Takoyaki balls were nice, typical. Very quiet atmosphere, relaxed. Would go bac

Very friendly service. Authentic Japanese menu. Sapporo beer on tap along with a host of family style Japanese dishes. Food was well portioned and tasty.

The staff were lovely and the food was tasty. Recommend the pork bone ramen and the hamburger steak on rice! Good portions for the hamburger steak medium rice.

Ramens here are outstanding. Rich in flavour and generous amount of toppings and everything for its price. Breading of the pork cutlets' are nice and crisp. Miso as a side dish were excellent too. Will come back for more.

Simply the best ramen I have ever had. Both the Shoyu and Tonkatsu ramens are amazing. I would come here every week for a bowl if I could. Only small complaint was that the vegetarian miso ramen didn’t match the quality of the meat ramens.

Recommended by a local Japanese and have to say it is a love at first sight. From the orange outlook of the restaurant to the delicious ramen to the tasty side dishes, perfect!

My favorite restaurant in Christchurch by a long way. It's like the archetypical restaurant in a quiet residential neighborhood in Japan. Please never change.

An absolute ChCh Gem. 💎💎💎 The service warm, the ambience nostalgic (90’s ex burger joint), the food OOSHI!! 🥰☺️🥰☺️. Pork ramen was brothy with loaded UMAMI. Bar is nicely stacked with Japanese lagers including Sapporo on tap. Came for Christchurch’s Best Ramen….Stayed for the Washjet IYKYK 💦

Dined in during lunch. Pork bone soup ramen, vegetable croquettes and karaage chicken were delicious. We didn't like the beef curry udon though. The lunch menu dish is served with 2 pieces of inari sushi (except the karaage chicken don). Staff was really friendly. Spent about $67 for all the dishes. Will definitely be back if we feel like eating Japanese. 😊 (My daughter who doesn't like eating meat with fat liked the pork in the ramen so much that she didn't mind the fat at all!)

Amazing meal. Absolutely loved it. We ordered the pork bone soup ramen. So delicious. Also ordered the chicken cutlet curry, amazing also. The food here was delicious and generously sized for the price. Takeaway order was absolutely brilliant. Went back 2 days later for the same meal over again, just added extras to the ramen order!!!

The steak was served on top of the chips and made them soggy, but otherwise was a great meal, especially the karaage chicken.
