I've been to the restaurant mostly during the lunch time hours. The staff members are lovely and once you are settled eating the staff members always ask how the food is. I think it is good of them to ask clients how they are enjoying what they are eating as it lets them know how their food is. I really love the restaurants lunch time specials!
Our local Indian takeaway, which the fam is absolutely loyal to - the mango chicken dish in particular. A whole spectacle of fantastic vegetarian classic Indian dishes on offer too. Would reccomend the mixed starter but in particular the lamb pieces.
Admittedly have no idea as to how traditional the dishes are, but I find them delicious. Consistently good service!
This is my local Indian restaurant/takeaway.
I struggle a little with NZ Indian takeaways and restaurant having lived in the UK for so long (where they’re all pretty much exceptional with lots of choice). But this place is the closest thing I’ve found to the UK curry experience – dishes with lots of flavour, beautifully cooked, friendly staff, well worth a visit.
Special mention must be made of their incredible lunch offers – for $10 you can get a curry, rice and a naan – and a decent selection to choose from – a giveaway!
Went here on Saturday night and loved it! THe food was great, very authentic. The naans are huge so listen to the wait staff when they say you wont need a whole naan each!
The menu has so much choice I couldn't believe it too which is great if you are fussy, or in the mood for something specific.
We had onion bhajis to start and they are well worth the money. You get 4 big bhajis for $6 and they are indeed big and very tasty.
Everyone I was with loved their meals and said they would definitely return.
The only complaint I would say is that the restaurant is very small so when people come in to pick up or order takeaway, they squeeze between you and the person at the next table which gets annoying after 4 times of having to pull your chair in! And it is cold in winter when the door opens as the place is small so the cold fills the whole room!
Other than that we all loved it and would definitely return!
Great tasting food. tandoori chicken, butter chicken and cheese naan was excellent. We also had the vegetable biryani it was also very good. We had our food delivered to our motel room and accidentally left our credit card in the machine. They rang to let us know and returned it within 20 minutes.....thanks so much for your honesty and a great dinner!!

OK, the chicken tikka entree was average, but the chicken jalfezi main was unbelievably good. This was just bags of flavour on top of even more flavour. And the main size was such that the entree was not needed (and I do tend to eat too much!!)
The restaurant is quite small, and the tables tightly packed, but not intrusive.
Wine is very reasonably priced, and in god-sized serves.
The staff are very polite and attentive.
Will I be back? Hell, YES.

Complements to the chef on exquisite delightful dishes. Very authentic flavours. Beautiful hand-made paintings very coloured full. Great time, we will definitely be back and highly recommend to anyone.
Fantastic Food I had with family yesterday. Restaurant was jam packed but staff was going extra mile to serve customers. Quality of service excellent and true authentic Indian food I had after a long time. First off, REEMA from the City Copper Chime is BACK, and she's set up shop here (her usual chef will be back in Christchurch in a month or so). Now, we had a meal here tonight and it was great. Had the Chicken Bhuna and it was pretty darn good, partner had the Aloo Gobi and Jeera rice - top marks from both of us! Can't comment on the hospitality though, because Reema always takes super special care of us! Can't wait until they're back on their feet fully :).

Outstanding customer service!! Delightful place to be. The food is very delicious ! This place will be our go to whenever we visit christchurch. The butter chicken was incredible, very generous portions! We also had the mixed platter for two which comes out on a cool wee hot plate. Highly recommend this place :)
The food and service were excellent. There were many dishes to choose from, it was hard to decide, but the lamb bhuna was so delicious. Medium was just perfect for me - a little heat but mostly flavour! We loved all the variations of naan to try (recommend the chocolate naan.)
Fast service and very lovely staff.
Such a hidden gem. Been going to this Indian for years and never disappoints. A must have is the khadi chicken with kashmiri Naan. The service is always good and tonight was great as well. So friendly and the food was fast. My only problem is if everyone knows about here then I might not get a table! Price is really reasonable too.
Owner remembered us from our 1st visit 5 months ago. Last time was good. Today was outstanding 😋 Onion bhajis were bang on delicious! Excellent service, excellent food. We'll be back. Thank you 😊

Excellent dinner or takeaway spot! Ordered the Chicken Korma, a couple of naans and the samosas - leftover food with 2 of us eating! Packed full of flavour and generous portions. Couldn't rate these guys highly enough!
A hidden gem! The food was so delicious, and our server was very courteous. We would highly recommend them for a change of pace and a delicious dinner. It is listed as a BYO but they do serve beer and wine as well. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed 👍
I go here with workmates for lunch more Fridays than not. We are always made welcome. It doesn't faze the team if we turn up with 4 or 10 people. They cope well with large groups at lunchtime, whereas we have found some other places struggle with this. Needless to say, the food is excellent or we wouldn't keep coming back so often. The waiter is friendly and knows our orders, so he just confirms them with us. They do a lunch special with smaller portions which are just the right size so you don't fall asleep at your desk afterwards! Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Excellent meal, great quality and very well cooked. The kashmiri bread was the best we've had - superb! Service was helpful, friendly and very quick. The staff couldn't do enough to provide for our six year old. I highly recommend this restaurant, and will definitely go there next time we visit the area.

This is a local Indian restaurant we go to. A good variety of entrees and main dishes. The food is good and the toilets are cute. It is a small restaurant and is a bit tight but cozy.

Got the take-out this time for dinner last night. As usual it is excellent. We ordered the palak paneer, dahl makhani, lamb madras, chicken malwari. They are all very tasty. I go on many occasions for lunch and/or dinner and the service and ambience are very good.
I ordered online for pick up and it was ready in less than 20 minutes. What a cute little place with friendly service. We ordered the butter chicken and it was maybe the best I've ever had. Cannot fault it. Delicious! We will be back, thank you 🙂
