Came here with the family for lunch as we have moved into the district and have heard a wee bit about the restaurant. Wow...what a cool wee place! Decor and surroundings were very kewl. Service was great and food was even better. The whole crew (including miss four year old) were very happy their meals. We will defo be frequenting this restaurant again whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner.
I had my daughters birthday dinner here tonight, roughly 25 of us, so a larger group. The staff were amazing, the food options are great and everyone’s food came out at the same time.
Everyone was really happy with their meals. The restaurant itself has really nice decor and a nice atmosphere. Thanks Black Door for a great meal and a great night. We will be back. :)
Having recently dined twice, both with fantastic food, service and drinks, I can only recommend enjoying a relaxed dining experience with the team at Black Door.
Wonderful place for Sunday brunch. Amazing coffee, food & service. Will totally be back again soon to explore the out door seating. Looks like a great place for a Friday evening wine or 2. 😊😊
Every meal was beautiful and the service was outstanding. We had a long lunch and didn’t feel rushed. Definitely recommend this lovely place…. The cheesecake was incredible!
We had the fried chicken burger and the pork belly burger and both were amazing. The service was good and it’s child friendly which is a bonus. Only thing we felt was the drinks are overpriced $8 for a coke & raspberry is daylight robbery. Apart from that we will definitely be back
This place is amazing.
Apple Pie drink: very tasty and really did remind me of eating an apple pie
Crusty garlic loaf: was done just right, managing to get the outside crispy without being rock hard while leaving the inside soft and buttery but not turning it to mush
Vegetable rigatoni: in a word, sublime. I got this with the added smoked salmon, which turned out to be a really good idea! The vegetables were char-grilled, adding even more flavor and nice textures to the dish.
House smoked salmon salad: also a great dish. The salad somehow manages to be light and fluffy while containing loads of halloumi, which is quite the feat. Could possibly use a bit more dressing though.
Cheesecake with vanilla ice cream: the cheesecake of the day was passion fruit and lemon, and it was very nice. The cheesecake itself was light and fluffy, and combined with the syrup was just great. The ice cream had some chocolate decoration and a base of caramel, which complimented the cheesecake nicely.
