Fantastic flavours! The two of us were able to dine in with seating for 8. The service was fast with beautifully presented food. The staff were considerate and helpful. We only happened upon this place tonight but will be back. A great find!

We are regular costumers even though we live across town. Can't beat their tofu pad thai! Can easily be veganised by leaving out the egg.

We've spent years looking for the most authentic Thai in Christchurch, and finally found it in this unassuming restuarant.
You'll be greeted by a very friendly team who take pride in the quality of food delivered, but be warned, a medium spice may be considered like a hot, so if not wanting a spice kick you are best to go with mild.
Portion sizes do us two meals each and the lovely staff cater to our dietary requirements easily, making Red Orchid Thai our consistent weekly treat. Highly recommend.
We had Thai curry with coconut and also shrimp toast. It was my first time ever trying Thai food, so hard to compare with others but I liked a lot what I had. I think portions were okay, not sure if they were bigger pre-covid times though.

Bestest Thai takeaway in chch so far I have experienced! They have great lunch menu for $10 and dinner is also just as great! Love the pad Thai even though its original but no other place I have enjoyed it as much as this place!
Lovely people, the spring rolls are very tasty and the Crispy Pork Pad Thai is the best, you certainly don't have to search for the meat there's plenty and nicely presented, highly recommend any of their dishes as I've had a few .

The BEST Thai takeaway restaurant in Christchurch, a hidden gem. I always et a meal from the Red Orchard when I'm in town, I'm from Australia.
I think I have just had the best vegetarian green curry I have ever had! The chef noted my comments and delivered an outstanding dish. The uber was quick to- perfectly hot. I'm super impressed- thanks Chef.
Although the delivery was a bit late the deliciousness of the food more than made up for that. Spicy, sweetly fragrant and with ingredients cooked from fresh produce we really enjoyed all the Thai hot dishes we ordered. Thanks team
Best Thai I have had. Would definitely recommend chicken pad Thai and satay. We frequently visit here and never had any complaints. Also reasonably priced. 3 dishes feeds our family of 6 with leftovers.

Still great food but think was a mistake raising $14 dishes to $17, $15 would of been a better price point. Physiologically that extra $3 will no doubt cost you in turnover. I hardly buy now from you at $17, gone from at least once a week to once every 3 months or more. "It's in the treat basket now". Look what $17 buys one at KFC. Getting rid of the $10 lunch ? Was no doubt good bread and butter money. Shop nowhere near as busy as it used to be.
Their food always make us feel happy. Everytime we order, we always thought that the portion is so big that we'd have leftover for the next day. Never happened because we always demolished the food! š Their pad thai and tom yum is definitely our go-to. However, the sizzling beef with very generous amount of coriander leaves is just ahmaazing. Can't wait to try the other dishes. Definitely our most fave Thai place.
Absolutely delicious, hot food all ready within 20 mins of ordering. Friendly customer service too! Would highly recommend.
I canāt fault this one bit! I phoned my order in and the lady who took the call was friendly and polite and even read my order back to me, said it would be 20 minutes, I drove over and it was 20 minutes exactly, walk in and my food was ready! I ordered the spring rolls which were so delicious, crunchy, good flavour, and the chilli sauce was nice and sweet. I also got the chicken Penang curry medium, one word āDelicious!ā I loved the addition of so many different veges and the spice blew my mind!! So much depth of flavour. I also tried the crispy pork pad Thai, that was probably the most delicious thing Iāve ever eaten!!! The pork was so well cooked and again so much depth of flavour in the entire dish! You definitely have a forever customer from me now!
