Got takeaways and it was AMAZING!!! The ribs were very tasty and cooked well!! The beef and black bean was the best iv had!! The staff were friendly and chatting to me while i was waiting for my takeaway!! Would highly recommend and will def go back!!

Just finished off an amazing dinner here at Cathays. It was amazing! The best sweet and sour pork I have ever had, and the Kanpung Chicken was phenomenal!! The Toffee Banana was delicious and fresh! One of the best meals I have ever had. The service was fantastic also! Thank you so much for such an amazing dinner ��

A hidden gem in Hornby - excellent food and fantastic service. My partner and I went back for takeaway after dining in, during our short time in Christchurch.
Great selection of Chinese and Korean dishes, our food was delicious and brought out fast. Try the Korean Soju!

Excellent food, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere.
Had the Cathay's Beef special, which was recommended to me by a friend who told me about this place. Came in with the missus not expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised. Very flavourful dish with a nice presentation, seeing the egg on the side still frying on the hot plate as it was delivered to my table had my mouth watering well before I took my first bite.
The lady who served us was quite friendly and service was exceptional. I can see why my friend thought for us to give Cathay's a try and why it seemed like some of the other diners here were regulars and knew her well. It was quite relaxing being able to eat my meal in the peaceful environment of the restaurant.
Small detail here, but the interior is nicely designed as well. It reminded me of a warm, homely look, and the bathroom was surprisingly clean. The fact that the owners care about how the place looks and feels to its customers really shines through here.
All in all, it was a great dining experience that I'll be sure to recommend to friends and family. Would definitely give Cathay's two thumbs up and will come back soon.

yum! lots of meat Smothered in sauce with nice small vegetables. The meals I have had have all been really tasty. The car park is a bit tricky. Dine in or takeaway the atmosphere is homely and friendly.
This is the best chinese place in town. The owner remembers us, knows what we like and always enquires after our family. We have taken family and friends here. The food is always good, the prices are reasonable, service is friendly.
Hubby and I go here regularly, the owner always has a smile, and the staff very friendly. We always order the same as the first time we had it we were hooked! The spring roll and squid entrees are delicious. Always just the right amount of sauce too! The mains are always the right size, we never walk out feeling like we've eaten too much or like our meal wasn't enough. I get the sweet and sour chicken and hubby gets the korean sweet and sour pork. We both LOVE them!
We ate here on Valentines Day and then went back this evening with friends. Lovely friendly service and awesome food at a reasonable price. Definately recommend and wouldn't hesitate to eat here again!

The best sweet and sour pork I've ever tried. Very tasty selection and lots on the menu I've love to try. Take out or dine in, we try and go as frequently as we can!

I went here for my Bday and the waitress and manager were really nice!They Sang happy birthday to me and everything it was awesome.
Meal took about 10-20minutes and it was really good! Definitely a 5star Chinese restaurant!

Really AMAZING place! The food is out of this world, Great wontons,spring rolls, fried rice, fried noodles, lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork! And lots of other foods! The staff are so lovely and they enjoy having customers and making you feel so welcome! Been going there for 16 years!
Korean style chines food like black bean noodles and spicy seafood noodles were good with sweet and sour porks.
The owner is so friendly and welcoming, the food was made quickly and tasted so good, 10/10 recommended!

A Korean - Chinese fusion restaurant located near the Hub in Hornby. The food served here is excellent and quick. I personally enjoyed the stir fried dishes here. The staff are very friendly and can speak both Chinese and Korean. I would absolutely recommend if moving in groups as the tables are suited for a team of four.
Delicious food, especially the Korean ones. Come here for lunch every 2-3 weeks and order the same dish because it's just that good. Service is awesome! Please come and try.
