We have just had an amazing time with friends having lunch and listening to Irish music. Although we didn't get to meet the owner we watched him as he welcomed so many regulars and guests. He was the perfect host. We will be back as this was our regular late 90's early 20's. Thankyou.
Clean. Nice aosphere. Helpful staff. The Shameless Two were entertaining. Enough room for dancing. We only had drinks. Bar food was available. This venue is wheelchair accessible.
We had our work do here as we're only next door. We were treated very well, the pizzas were yum plus we were permitted to take in our own sweet things like cake etc
Great place to grab a feed and beer. Steak special they had on for $14.50 was fantastic, steak was very tender and cooked to perfection (not overdone). Good serving sizes. Staff were efficient and friendly. Will certainly visit again next time in Christchurch.
Wonderful birthday bus trip and the music and bar service was exemplary.

Absolutely fantastic. This is a proper English pub. The food was great the service was excellent and it was very clean and tidy. Pubs like the rat are a dying thing. Keep up the good work. 👍
Was here with a large group for a celebration, great service great atmosphere only complaint was the pricing of food compared to portion sizes.

Loved it. Everything we expected from a local pub. The team made the experience perfect. The food was fantastic, from the sticky ribs to the roast which tasted like granny made it. (some of the best garlic bread too, I might add!) thanks so much for accommodating us and making a takeaway sundae for
They are very nice and friendly. We had the white bait special and fish & chips. Order at the bar and then take a seat. To reorder just go back to the bar. Definitely an after work hangout place. Bartenders were great.
Went to the Rose and Thistle for a wintery Saturday lunch.
It was cosy and warm inside and we enjoyed our meal.
Price was reasonable, service was good. It’s definitely a pub that serves meals, but it was enjoyable.

Went on a thirsty Thursday they offer by 6 points and get 1 free all through the week so if you're in doubt thing is definitely a place to be they also offer a Thursday draw at 6:30
Great pub for a Saturday night, awesome live band setup, heaps of room for a dance, friendly staff too. Highly recommend getting along if Titanic Rock Covers band are playing, they are awesome musicians with a rockin set
