Best Indian restaurant at the beach site and the atmosphere is so homie for the Indians and also good for everyone. Doing tasty Indian food.
It was very good but it's just good now maybe it's because not enough staff. I went there twice around 11:15 am but nobody was there so I.hsve to go there at night again. We ordered takeaway by phone but they didn't cook the food I ordered and the food was not as good as before.
Had mild butter chicken last night enough for 2 meals delicious best I've had
Absolutely delicious! Food is great, I got the mild butter chicken plus nann bread. The servers were lovely and welcoming, would definitely recommend.
A hidden gem in McCormacks Bay. These guys make a great curry! They have fought hard to keep going through Covid restrictions and staff shortages. We like to support local, and will definitely keep going back for their delicious food.

Our takeaway curry etc was ready just when they said, good value and the mixed platter to start was fabulous, loads of chicken and beautiful lamb chops. The Lamb posht was mild but very tasty and the lamb was extremely tender. We will come again. Excellent!
We had only just arrived in town for our first day and holiday in NZ and were totally exhausted. Our host recommended Chili Flakes for dinner and we had ordered delivery just closing. No hesitation in taking our order. Then my card wouldn’t work!!!!! Hadn’t had time to grab NZ dollars so what to do?

On the spur of the moment we decided to grab a curry from our local instead of going into town. It would be fair to say it was the BEST curry we have had for a very long time!! Hubby had a prawn dish and I had veges 11/10
Discovered this little gem tucked away near the main road. Lovely service - fair price for the bottle beer and gorgeous, well flavoured food, cooked exactly as we asked for. Reasonable prices and nice to see a local business doing well. Expect a warm welcome and a nice, relaxed evening here.
amazing authentic Indian food - lots of flavours subtle yet perfectly appropriate for the dish with each delightful bite. generous helpings yet nothing left behind on my plate, had to taste the lot. tip- the garlic prawns in the tandoori are not to be missed. will definitely be back
We have dined at many Indian Restaurants in Christchurch & find that the food at Chilli Flakes is the best by far. It is great to see so many Vegetarian and Dairy Free options on the menu .
The staff are friendly and accommodating and it is well worth a drive out to Mt Pleasant if you want authentic
Delicious food from stater to main to dessert. Have tried take aways from the restaurant and eat in too. The atmosphere and the aroma of spices would encourage you to try more dishes from the menu. Wide range of vegetarian dishes is available.
My wife and I went here for dinner as we were craving for good Indian food on our NZ trip. The place did absolute justice to our cravings. Chilli Flakes is as close as you can get to authentic North Indian cuisine.

Highly recommend! The food was delicious, good portions and really fresh ingredients. The staff were very friendly and exceptionally accommodating for celiacs. Will be back
