Coffee was so good I had a 2nd one, both breakfast meals were cooked perfectly for each of us, crispy bacon for me and the eggs were bang on. Sauce on the side was good as well as you could have as much or little as you liked. Staff were friendly and the space was clean and comfortable. One to stop at if you are passing or heading to the movies

I visited this restaurant and had a truly enjoyable dining experience. The servers were very friendly and professional, and gave us some great recommendations on dishes to try, including the pork belly. To be honest, I wasn't planning on ordering it, but their enthusiastic recommendation convinced me to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. The pork belly was absolutely delicious, with tender and juicy meat that just melted in your mouth. It's definitely one of the restaurant's signature dishes.
In addition, the atmosphere of the restaurant was very comfortable and cozy, making me and my companion feel relaxed and happy. The servers were also very attentive to our needs, checking in on us frequently to see if we needed anything, and clearing our plates and utensils in a timely manner.
Overall, I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food and service at this restaurant. If you're looking for some amazing cuisine and top-notch service, I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try.
Went for an early dinner. Had chicken burgers with chips. Two Big boy milkshakes. Milkshakes could be thicker. Food was quite tasty. The lady serving was really friendly. Prices are higher than fast-food outlets, but the quality is much better.
I stopped in on a whim to get a meal before seeing a film next door, and the service and food were delightful. The restaurant cleverly has buttons on each table where you can press to get service, which was prompt and pleasant. Definitely would recommend.

I cannot praise The Joe's Garage City Central highly enough. It is providing amazing and plentiful food with an excellent service.
We have been several times in the past, everything was lovely, delicious lamb ribs, tasty beef ribeye, and delectable salmon. Service staffs are all friendly, especially the manager Hyde had always been prompted and courteous. Well worth to visit with its reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend it.
Really polite staff, accommodating of my dietary needs was no problem here!! They made the pork belly gf & df on request, and the cheif was so adaptable - this made me feel like it was no problem at all. The food tasted great, good sized feed, wasn't a long wait - worth the money! I'd recommend Joe's Garage for sure !!
The most incredible delightful service, they are so thoughtful lovely and kind. The food is so fantastic, one bite and I knew the best fried chicken I've ever had! And the big boy milkshake lives up to its name. So I know the chips and gravy will be excellent. Cheers to a great chef! 👍 😎

Apparently there's a Joe's garage in Queenstown too. Eggs Benny breakfast on a cool Christchurch morning. Decor is like the inside of an oldtime mechanics garage with tools etc hanging or placed around the restaurant. It's quirky and it works plus food is really good.
Decent sized serving of pancakes for me and a huge plate of eggs on toast. Both meals hot and tasty. Relaxing and not to busy for breakfast.
Caesar salad with chicken is always my go to, with a side of fries with gravy and the fried chicken.
Salad could do with a little more dressing but other than that it was delicious.
Came here for breakfast before we flew home. Food was reasonable.
