We were a family of 12 and couldn't of asked for better service. The food was served fresh and prompt. The new decor was amazing and set a nice scene for a relaxed dinner. Everyone was happy with all aspects (kids included). Highly recommended

They have changed their name to Thai Garden. We ordered the dumplings with red curry sauce to start the evening, followed by Pad thai and green curry for our mains.
I'm very pleasantly surprised with the dumplings as the skin was so soft and just the right thickness. This is the best dumpling skin I've had in NZ, as somehow the dumplings skin tend to be on the thicker side here in nz.
For pad thai, I requested for less sugar and more chilli. It was amazing! Just thought that it'd be better with more stuff in it, like tofu or sthg, as it felt very boring with just beansprouts and chicken and few slices of spring onion. The flavour was great though! And they even gave me extra chilli on the side, which I requested for more as I really like my noodles spicy.
The green curry was on the light and watery side although it's packed with flavours. We are used to having creamier curry but I personally like this lighter version much better!
All in all, I love the food we ordered and the servings are really very generous. Nice waiting staff too!
Very good price. 2 mains and a combination entree for $56. Food tasted fantastic. Definitely would go again. Next time might be dine in for a change.
Takeaway dinner tonight was Chicken Green Curry, Guri Puffs, Satay Chicken Sticks and Roti everything got eaten too quick to take pictures because it was SOO Yumm.
We shared the combination entree which came with spring rolls, chicken wings, pork ribs and guri puffs. It was nice enough but won't be particularly memorable. For my main I had the chicken massaman curry. It had lots of nice ginger and a decent level of heat. The server was new and he was nice and friendly.
Made a booking for Thai Talay then read some of the reviews, but keeped a open mind about the place, so pleased I did as the food was awesome, the service was good, food arrived quickly,we had nibbles and mains all within a hour of being there, will definitely go back. And there was heaps of room around all the tables and chairs.
I can't believe the three reviews I have just read. We went last night - a group of 22. Unfortunately we had to be away at a certain time and the wait was very stressful. I had selected my meal on line to save time but on arrival, we were told that we had to pick a set menu (3 options). This was a bit of a shock as it was $28 as opposed to the $18 average main. Nevertheless that's life and when the food finally arrived it was delicious! I had given up on Thai restaurants, finding the quality and wow factor is now a nostalgic memory. There were a few moans and groans,mainly about the disturbing wait. The staff were apologetic and took a few dollars off the price. I will be keen to return - with no time limit and just relish in the wonderful food.
Three of my friends and I visited Thai Talay last night for dinner. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table. Our waitress was very attentive and the food was fabulous. I would certainly return to this restaurant and recommend it to other friends.
each time i have eaten there it has been awsome food probably the best thai food i have ever had they are very friendly and are very fast to bring your food out. they home make all of there sauces and yea have a huge selection of food on the menu
I've eaten here a few times and tried different things on the menu. I can't say it's the best Thai food I've had before, but I/we have enjoyed eating here each time.
The menu is reasonably priced and also covers gluten-free, soy and vegetarian options.
Takeaways were ok too, but the restaurant itself is nice to dine in
First timers we ordered a platter it came out looked real good the food was fantastic then ordered the mains pad thai n beef dish both dishes where devine n delicious top marks

Had the sweet and sour fish. Great flavours, could do with more coriander and had a little too much rice and less meal than I would have preferred.
The food and service were perfect. But the chef and the staff were having a very loud fight in the kitchen what made us a bit scared. All good otherwise.
The meals can be made for vegetarian and Vegans. Confirm what cooking oil they are using. First time eating at Thai Gardens a good range of meals and nice atmosphere.

Great location great building . Lunch was quick and tasty. Major complaint would be Buddha head on door handle . Disrespectful to the culture and religion.
