I am not vegan or vegetarian as such however will eat these meals. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch there and would bet many meat eaters would not know the difference. The burger and chips were great and other food looked yummy with big servings. The best thing of all was the surroundings for people who wanted a calm, quiet conversation or lunch with no screaming kids or chairs being scraped across the floor and the clatter of dishes being stacked.  Was closer to French eating than NZ eateries and in fact I would call it a restaurant/café. The staff were very obliging, polite and just great with food out quick. I will definitely go again.

Vegetarian food is great at the Cafe. Cuisines of east and west are available and they have great desserts too! Worth the money and will definitely recommend friends and family here. If you like spicy food, their Laksa is a must try, or else their Sandwich, Mushroom Pie and Blueberry Cake tastes great too! Yummy in my tummy!!!

Superb vegetarian food! Has a beautiful seating area with luxurious wooden furniture! You can dine in and they do lunches too! Around $16 a dish. $6-$7 a dessert. The ambience is lovely! They have a wide range of vegetarian/vegan dessert and lunch cabinet options PLUS an amazing range of asian cuisine with a healthy vegetarian twist! The braised noodle was delicious! Definitely recommend! 5/5 for vegetarian Asian cuisine in Christchurch!

One of our favourite lunch spot in town ! Authentic Taiwanese food and and fully vegan ! Everything is yummy and delicious but my absolute favourites are coriander pancakes. Laksa is very good option if you are really hungry, but there are many other smaller and bigger dishes to chose from. Cafe is located inside Taiwanese temple and gallery, it has its own parking lot. Coffee is delicious and there are some good choices of green teas. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Place gets very busy on weekends so recommend reservation or Como g early.

Water Drop Café is an absolute sanctuary. The food is incredible, the people are so wonderful and warm. I can't wait to eat here every time I come to Christchurch. Delicious, healthy comfort food, with a huge range of teas to choose from. Come hungry and order dessert to go.

Nice little restaurant and good quality food even though I'm was not a big fan of the algae dumplings 🙃 Service was very friendly. The lemon ice tea is absolutely amazing and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Gorgeous delicious vegetarian and vegan food. My dumpling soup was really good, I couldn't tell they were vegetarian. My husband and father-in-law really enjoyed their fried udon, and my mother-in-law had bbq (char siew) noodles with dumplings. We also bought side dishes such as wontons, polenta fries and coriander pancakes, all of which were excellent. Portion sizes are good. Highly recommended and we would definitely come again! Do remember to wear appropriate and modest clothing as you are entering a place of worship. Covered shoes and long trousers/pants and skirts are required. Women should also cover their shoulders and chest.

Dont forger their 50% discount when you bring your own cup for takeaway coffee. Very well made coffee. I have tried 'daily special' and a teriyaki meal, coriander pancake and also a salted caramel tart. All delicious! I love how with the meals you get a salad/rice/protein and a bit of cooked vege. Its a really solid sized meal. I really hope the vegan/Vegetarian/buddhist community support this place as much as they can. Delicious food!

It is more like a Vegan restaurant apart from they might use milk in their coffees. This restaurant is located in the Buddhist temple on riccarton road. A few parking located at the back of the building depends on the time and day it can easily be quite full, especially on Saturday lunch time when they have Mass. Food is all great and incredibly tasty. We tried their pancakes, tofu, fried rice, and curry laksa and a chocolate brownie. The brownies is make with no eggs so it doesn't taste like the normal brownie which is less of my thing but it was okay and wasn't too sweet.
